Quick Transmigration: Let Me Tell You, I'm a Social Anxiety Person
Chapter 41 After being locked in a dark room by a paranoid and jealous man (41)
At 10 a.m., Wen Ying boarded the car heading to the airport.
After the system logged off last night, she hesitated for a long time before finally trying to call the contact person whose contact name was "Mom".
The moment the other person's voice came through, Wen Ying couldn't help but burst into tears. Her mother mistakenly thought she had been wronged at school and comforted her for a long time.
Mom said, "If you're under too much pressure, come home and relax. You haven't been home in so long. Mom and Dad will cook you something delicious."
Wen Ying couldn't resist agreeing and immediately bought a plane ticket for the next afternoon.
Before confirming her itinerary, she sent a message to Ikeno, telling him that she would be away for a few days to go home and visit her family.
Ikeno quickly said "okay" and considerately asked her if she needed him to accompany her.
Wen Ying felt it was too much trouble for him to leave his company and run around with her. Besides, she didn't even know how she would face her "parents" when she went home, let alone bring a boyfriend back with her.
She hesitated for a moment, then simply replied, "No need, just stay home and wait for me to come back."
Chi Ye felt a little wronged, but he was easy to coax. Wen Ying softened her words and said a few more, and the puppy's fur was stroked again. It lay there waiting and didn't ask Wen Ying about the return date or insist on being picked up or dropped off.
Wen Ying snapped out of her reverie and realized that the car had stopped at some point. She took a picture of the traffic jam and sent it to Chi Ye, saying with some worry, "I wonder if we'll miss our flight."
Chino seemed to be busy, so she didn't reply immediately. Wen Ying looked out the window at the slowly moving traffic. The smell of leather mixed with fragrance seeped in through the gaps in her mask, making her feel dizzy.
She couldn't resist reaching out to open the window, her fingertips touching the window lift switch, and her phone vibrated.
cyy: "It's okay, take a nap."
Wen Ying didn't see the message clearly. She involuntarily closed her eyes and lost consciousness.
When I opened my eyes again, it was pitch black all around.
It was getting dark. That was Wen Ying's first thought, but it was immediately dismissed as she felt a delicate, soft touch above her eyelids, something like a lace eye mask covering her eyes.
Wen Ying was stunned for a moment, and subconsciously tried to tear off the covering in front of her, but felt a tight binding sensation on her wrist, and the cold metal pressed against her skin.
She tried to move her leg, and her ankle made a tinkling sound that seemed incredibly jarring in the silent darkness.
Wen Ying's heart leaped into her throat. She remembered the strange fragrance she had smelled before she fell unconscious, and she couldn't help but panic.
Wen Ying instinctively suspected she had been kidnapped: "Who are you?"
There was no response. The only sound in the quiet was her own frantic heartbeat. Wen Ying waited in the darkness, tilting her head to the side, and vaguely felt a soft breathing sound beside her.
“…Ikeno?” she asked tentatively.
The voice drew closer, and Wen Ying felt someone gently pat the top of her head.
She was getting anxious and asked again, "Ikeno, is that you?"
After a brief silence, Chi Ye gave a soft "hmm" and twirled Wen Ying's hair with his fingers.
Wen Ying breathed a sigh of relief. The moment she heard Chi Ye's voice, her tense back suddenly relaxed, as if she had gained a moment of security.
But this safety came out of nowhere, even though Ikeno was the one who kidnapped her.
"Wasn't I in the car? How did I get here? The plane..."
"The plane didn't wait for you," Ikeno said with some regret. "It flew away first."
"..." Wen Ying was speechless. For a moment, she actually felt that missing the plane was "fate".
Wen Ying tried to sit up, but her wrists were locked and she couldn't move.
"This is your home, isn't it?" She moved her slightly uncomfortable wrist. "You tied me to the bed?"
“Our home,” Chi Ye corrected, patiently explaining to her, “This bed is too high. You always said you were afraid of falling off while sleeping, Wen Ying, now the problem is solved.”
Wen Ying didn't feel that the problem was solved. She was still in shock at "Chi Ye pretending to be innocent". Chi Ye's acting skills were really superb. He not only fooled her, but also fooled the system.
But she didn't seem... very scared.
She felt Ikeno's hand slide down her hair and land next to her tightly clasped wrist. Ikeno's palm covered her pulse, warming the cold metal.
"Why are you blindfolding me?" Wen Ying continued to ask. "It feels weird not being able to see anything."
Ikeno's palm then landed above her eyes, lightly shrouding them.
“Because…” he said very slowly, “I don’t want to see your eyes, because you always focus your attention on others.”
Wen Ying said, "But there's only you and me in this room."
Chi Ye remained silent and withdrew his hand. Wen Ying could neither hear his voice nor feel his body temperature, and the feeling of panic spread back.
"Chino," she said with a hint of reproach, "why aren't you saying anything?"
There was still no answer. Wen Ying couldn't stand the unsettling silence and began to struggle, but the metal rings and chains were very tight. She tried to move her arms, but in the end, she could only tighten her wrists, making them rub red.
"Chino." Her voice began to sound aggrieved. The long silence made her feel depressed, and she gradually lost control of her sobs. "My wrist hurts."
The next second, a heavy sigh came from beside her. Ikeno couldn't bear to watch her tears, so he took her hand back into his palm and gently rubbed it.
Wen Ying sniffed, leaned against the warmth and spaced out for a while, when suddenly another question came to mind.
"...How did you know where I was?" She recalled the strangely toned message Chi Ye had sent her before she lost consciousness: "Take a nap." A suspicion arose in her mind: "Were you spying on me?"
Ikeno admitted it.
Wen Ying was stunned for a moment, her first guess being that there was something wrong with her phone, but when did Chi Ye start monitoring her phone? Was it during the three days she was locked up in Chi Ye's house, or... even earlier?
Wen Ying recalled the day she first met Chi Ye. The three of them were having dinner together, and she left in a hurry, during which Chi Ye found her phone.
"Besides being able to locate my position..." Wen Ying suddenly became hesitant, "can you also hear me talking to other people or texting?"
Chi Ye paused his rubbing of her wrists, leaned over and kissed her forehead, praising her as he had done the last time Wen Ying dismantled the surveillance camera while standing on a chair: "Baby is so smart."
He said with a mix of pleasure and worry, "I know everything, what should I do?"
Wen Ying: "..."
My mind raced through all the things I'd done with my phone in the past.
This includes, but is not limited to, replying to Zhao Qi's messages while chatting with Chi Ye, telling Chi Ye "I like her a little bit" one second, and then turning around to play games with Xu Che, and even pairing up with Ma Yao...
No wonder Chi Ye was acting strangely that night and didn't even reply with "goodnight." He was just ignoring her, waiting for her to have a change of heart and apologize on her own.
So what did she do? The next day at the library, she happily accepted Xu Che's milk tea.
No wonder Ikeno turned and left.
Wen Ying was initially worried that she was too reserved and that her way of making Chi Ye jealous was not intense enough, which led to strong criticism from the system.
It seems that Ikeno was already drowning in jealousy.
