From Godhood to the Heavens
Chapter 96 Heavy Casualties, A Desperate Fight
Seeing this, the old man's expression changed instantly, and only one thought remained in his mind: It's over.
However, there is still a chance to salvage the situation. As long as he can get there in time, there is still hope!
"Jackie Chan, Daddy has to take down the vampire prince before they all die! Take me there now!"
Jackie Chan nodded, picked up his father without saying a word, and ran straight towards the Kan trigram position.
With a leap, he stepped onto a trash can, hooked his hand onto the second-floor balcony, and climbed up the water pipe toward the roof. After carefully determining his direction, he began to run wildly between the rooftops of the building.
Like a master parkour expert, or someone with superb light-footed skills, Jackie Chan carried his father as if he were carrying a sack of cotton, moving at lightning speed.
"Slow down, Jackie Chan! Your father's bones are about to fall apart!" The wind whistled in his ears as his father shouted.
"What?" Jackie Chan didn't hear clearly, but he seemed to hear his father say slow down, so he had to speed up again and reply, "Dad, I've done my best!"
Upon arriving at the location of the array diagram, the old man's expression subtly changed. The ground was littered with the corpses of righteous mages, while the vampires had long since vanished.
"I'm still too late!" Jackie Chan covered his face in frustration, his heart clenching as if it were being squeezed.
"It's not your fault, those vampires are too cunning!" With a slightly grave expression, the old man sighed and said, "There might be a conspiracy here that I don't know about!"
"Jackie Chan, Daddy has to gather everyone together. The Bagua Formation has been broken, and there are too many vampires in the city. If this continues, we'll be easily picked off one by one!"
The old man's expression was solemn, clearly indicating that he had realized the seriousness of the matter.
However, before the old man could make a further reaction, the righteous mages who had been lying on the ground stood up one by one, swaying unsteadily.
There was even an old man in a white robe who was much faster than the others, rushing towards the old man like lightning.
"Dad, watch out!" Jackie Chan's eyes widened instantly, and he rushed out to block his father's path, then kicked out with his foot.
The white-robed vampire suddenly turned around in mid-air, dodging a flying kick, and instantly pounced on Jackie Chan. The moment their eyes met, a surge of vital energy was visibly drained away.
The lizard in the old man's hand suddenly burst into a bright light, instantly knocking the white-robed vampire away. Then, it flashed into the shadows and disappeared.
"Oh no, even Master Moni has been absorbed." Then he turned to Jackie Chan and asked anxiously, "Jackie Chan, are you alright? Are you okay?!"
Jackie Chan's face was ashen. He stood up unsteadily, looking much thinner, as if all his energy had been drained. He waved his hand with difficulty.
"I won't die for now, but I feel like it'll be soon!" Jackie Chan's face was bloodless, his eyes were somewhat vacant, and there was even a faint red tinge.
"Oh no, it's too late!" the old man said anxiously. "We need to tell everyone to evacuate quickly."
Jackie Chan, however, said with a grim expression, "I think if we don't leave now, we might not be able to leave at all!"
The group of righteous mages who had been lying on the ground had half of them standing up, numbering several dozen, their eyes bloodshot as they stared at the two remaining prey in the arena.
"Okay, it's all up to you, Jackie Chan. Cast a spell for Dad so we can notify them!"
"No!" Jackie Chan cried out in pain, but the next second he rushed out.
Receiving the message from the Emperor in his mind, Fang Ping smiled. The second divination position had once again resulted in total annihilation.
The entire Bagua formation has been completely shattered. The power of a single Bagua formation is no longer sufficient to maintain the oppression of the vampire.
It's like the righteous mages have been separated, and now they can only fight on their own.
Now that they've been lured into the trap, Fang Ping can't afford to give them another chance to use other formations. Dividing them up and eliminating them completely is the best opportunity.
In an instant, a great battle broke out and chaos ensued. The vampires, who had been forced to gather in the city center, suddenly rushed out from all directions.
Fang Ping's Li trigram also seems to have been subjected to special treatment: frontal attacks, surprise attacks from behind, sudden bursts of sewer gas from the roadside, and sudden jumps from inside a residential building.
The flying swords danced wildly, but even the impenetrable sword net showed flaws when faced with the endless army of vampires.
The moment they charged into the formation, they caused a commotion, but their numbers were too small, and they were quickly taken down by the combined forces.
"If the cage opening is too big, it looks a bit unrealistic; if it's too small, it won't be of any use. Let's just forget about it!"
The thought arose, and the speed of the sword light increased to another level. In just a few breaths, all the vampires on the street were wiped out.
The group of righteous mages looked up, their eyes filled with emotion. They wondered how much magic power the Sword Immortal had consumed and what price he had paid with that move, and their faces turned pale.
Just then, a voice quickly came through.
"Everyone retreat to the core of the formation, and then we'll regroup!"
The group of righteous mages immediately felt as if they had found a pillar of support, and they all breathed a sigh of relief. Then they all looked at Fang Ping in the sky.
Fang Ping, riding on his sword, stood before the crowd and said, "I will clear the way for you all, please follow carefully."
As he spoke, a long sword, like a constantly spinning and dancing ribbon, like a tornado, carved a path through the dense army of vampires.
Everyone held their magical artifacts, looked around warily, and followed Fang Ping closely as they quickly retreated towards the center of the formation.
As they drew closer, screams echoed from all directions, reaching their ears.
Upon returning to Old Man's Antique Shop, dazzling golden light appeared all around, forming a huge circle that created a safe zone.
The old man had returned to the altar at some point, with Jackie Chan lying in front of him, his blue t-shirt tattered and constantly seeping blood.
Several tens of minutes later, the old man opened his eyes, his fingers still forming a hand seal in front of his chest. He glanced at the crowd below, a sense of sorrow rising in his heart.
Of the eight teams, only Fang Ping's team returned intact. Three teams were wiped out, and the remaining four teams were almost entirely composed of wounded soldiers.
"This operation was entirely my fault. I underestimated the enemy's cunning and strength, which harmed everyone."
My father is incompetent, but I have one last trick up my sleeve: to use the power of the sun to cleanse the world of evil. I beg you all to lend me a hand.
"To wipe out the evil spirits in one fell swoop is also a way to avenge our fellow cultivators!"
