From Godhood to the Heavens

Chapter 82 Chicken Talisman Acquired

The old man pushed up his glasses, his gaze sweeping over Fang Ping from head to toe, then circling around him. His eyes were incredibly clear. After a long while, the old man slowly shook his head and spoke.

"Young man, how do you know about magic?"

Fang Ping smiled and said, "I've longed for it since I was a child, and I still remember it now. I dare not forget it."

Fang Ping's words had a double meaning, and he wore a gentle smile. After a while, his father nodded and then spoke.

"What do you want to do by learning magic?"

Fang Ping thought for a moment, but he was at a loss for what reason to give, because this one sentence might determine his father's final decision.

The old man didn't urge him, but after a long while, he slowly said, "Perhaps you haven't thought it through yet. You should go back and think carefully about why you want to learn magic."

Fang Ping's eyes flashed, and he slowly exhaled. Rather than making up lies, it was better to tell the truth, because no matter what, it was impossible to change his mind.

"No, I've thought it through!" Fang Ping said firmly, his eyes resolute. "I want to become stronger, even stronger!"

The old man fell silent for a moment, then suddenly shouted, "Jackie Chan, where have you been? Show the guest out!"

Jackie Chan poked his head out of the bathroom, still covered in a lot of soap, and called out helplessly, "Dad, I'm taking a shower, can I have one more minute?"

Fang Ping was stunned for a moment, sighed, and said, "Can you tell me why?"

The old man slowly shook his head with his hands behind his back, and only said one sentence: "Magic is not for competing with others!"

Fang Ping chuckled and then said, "Perhaps you have some misunderstandings about me!"

"Dad's eyes don't lie!"

Fang Ping slowly shook his head and sighed. In this way, he was afraid they would become enemies rather than friends.

"In that case, well then, I hope you made the right choice!"

Fang Ping turned and left, nodding gently to Xiao Yu, who had appeared out of nowhere, without even noticing the chicken talisman on the shield.

As for the magic books in this antique shop, let's leave them here for now. We'll figure out how to learn all the magic words first, and then come back to collect them.

Before that, the old man and others need to deal with the Holy Lord and collect talismans, just like working for themselves.

In a split second, he was about to push open the door and leave when he was met by three figures walking towards him. At a glance, he could see that they were three very distinctive faces, striding towards the antique shop.

It was none other than the infamous trio of good-for-nothings under Valon's command: Lasu, Afen, and Zhou.

Although he has hardly succeeded many times, his abilities are actually quite good, considering that he has been dealing with mostly abnormal people.

As soon as Fang Ping opened the door, three figures filed in. Rasu, dressed in a pristine white suit, glanced at Fang Ping sideways and spoke indifferently.

"Hey, thanks kid!" Rasu strode in with his hands in his pockets and said casually, "But I advise you to get lost!"

Fang Ping found it amusing, glanced at the comedic trio, and strode away. He hadn't gone far when he found a secluded spot and disappeared.

Inside the antique shop, the three men's gazes swept across the area casually before instantly locking onto the golden shield without lingering for a moment.

Rasu stepped forward, took the shield in his hand, shook his head casually, and turned to leave.

"Hey, put that thing down, it's not for sale!" The old man angrily pointed, and the three of them immediately stopped in their tracks.

Xiaoyu quietly leaned against the wall, trying to go around to the front, but was blocked by a figure. The huge body slowly pressed down on her, and the shadow enveloped Xiaoyu's entire body.

Then, the next moment, Zhou stretched out a hand and lifted Xiaoyu up horizontally, while turning his head to look at Lasu.

"Old man, what do you want to say?" He looked at his father with a disdainful expression and said calmly, "Which eye of yours saw that we were planning to buy it!"

"Let go of Xiaoyu, and that shield!" The old man clenched his fists angrily, glaring at the three of them.

Rasu picked at his ear, rolled up his sleeve, pointed at his father, and then pointed at Xiaoyu.

"Do you want me to shoot you?"

Xiaoyu raised her hands in an instant, looking at her father with a pitiful expression. No one had told her that the people here were always ready to draw their guns.

The old man was speechless for a moment, and could only helplessly compromise, shrugging his shoulders and saying, "Alright, please don't hurt Xiaoyu!"

Rasu smiled smugly, nodded at Zhou, and then said, "Let's go. It seems this old guy is quite sensible!"

If it were Daolong, or any other dark wizard, who dared to be threatened like this, they would probably just raise their hand and unleash a spell, leaving the three of them without even a trace.

Unfortunately, my father is a righteous mage and a good person who believes in using magic to fight magic.

The three turned and left without hesitation. Jackie Chan, hearing the commotion below, quickly put on his clothes and jumped down.

"What happened to Dad?"

Xiaoyu quickly interjected, saying, "The shield has been stolen!"

"And who are you? Why is there a child here, Dad?" Jackie Chan looked at Jade with a surprised expression!

"Oh, I forgot to tell you, she's your niece, her name is Xiaoyu! Xiaoyu calls Uncle Long~"

“Uncle Long!” Xiaoyu said obediently.

"Where did I get a niece from?"

"That's not important. What's important is that the talisman was stolen."

"Isn't it a shield?"

"Still don't you understand? The shield itself isn't important; what's important is the runes on it. They possess powerful magic, and if they fall into the wrong hands, the consequences will be unimaginable..."

Before his father could finish speaking, Jackie Chan had already rushed out, saying, "I understand, Dad!"

Fang Ping's appearance slightly altered the original plot, but it seems things will soon return to normal.

As the vehicle drove away, Jackie Chan's eyes searched the surroundings and quickly locked onto a drainage pipe on the wall next to him.

In no time, he grabbed the wall and climbed directly to the rooftop, which is more than ten meters high. His speed is fast enough to apply for a world record.

Then, they began a crazy parkour adventure along the rooftops of varying heights.

Even Fang Ping, who was hiding in the distance, couldn't help but exclaim in amazement. His physical abilities were so much better than Captain America's that it seemed like he had undergone genetic modification.

Unfortunately, Fang Ping wouldn't give either side or their 12 talismans a chance, so no matter how much the two sides fought for it, Fang Ping was determined to have this talisman.

As the car drove away around the corner, Jackie Chan, standing on the rooftop, suddenly stopped, glanced at the intersection, gritted his teeth, and leaped into the air.
