Chapter 18 Unrequited Love

When Chen Feng heard her words, he said dismissively, "Of course I'm walking. Do you think this road belongs to you?"

Lin Xue took a deep breath and told herself not to argue with such a fool, or she would be driven to her death by his anger.

She strode forward, with Chen Feng following closely behind.

Lin Xue stopped and looked back at Chen Feng.

The latter glanced at her indifferently and continued walking forward.

Lin Xue noticed that he was heading in the same direction as her and muttered to herself.

Is this guy planning to follow me home?

However, she quickly dismissed the idea, because the guy didn't seem interested in her at all; he wouldn't follow her home like that.

Lin Xue breathed a sigh of relief and quickened her pace toward her home, with Chen Feng following her.

Seeing the large villa in front of her, Lin Xue finally couldn't hold back any longer. She stopped in her tracks and turned around angrily to Chen Feng, saying, "Although I'm grateful to you for getting me out of this predicament, what exactly are you trying to do? You actually followed me home."

"Following you?" Chen Feng raised an eyebrow, looking completely bewildered.

He looked at the large villa in front of him, pointed at it, and said, "I'm going there. I don't care where you go."

Lin Xue's face flushed with anger. She said furiously, "Don't think I don't know. You clearly guessed that this is Dongda Villa, which might be my home, so you wanted to come home with me. What exactly are you up to?"

"Impossible." Chen Feng took out his phone, checked the address, and his eyes instantly turned strange.

"Wait, didn't you just say your surname is Lin?"

"Yes." Lin Xue looked at her with disdain. Wasn't she just asking a question she already knew the answer to?

"Can you do me a favor?" Chen Feng's eyes suddenly brightened.

Seeing his expression, Lin Xue immediately took a step back warily and stammered, "What do you want to do? Let me tell you, if you dare to cause trouble in front of my house, my security guards won't let you get away with it."

Chen Feng waved his hand and quickly said, "What are you thinking? I'm from the Mu Group. Our group has a business deal with your Lin family. Here's a list, and we hope your head can take a look."

Chen Feng hurriedly pulled a file from his pocket, even though it was all crumpled up. Lin Xue breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this, but felt a bit annoyed at Chen Feng's disdainful look.

I didn't look down on Chen Feng, but this guy actually looked down on me.

She didn't take the documents, but shook her head and said, "These are my grandfather's responsibilities. He's not home right now, so please come back another day."

"Not home?" Chen Feng's suspicious gaze fell on Mu Qianxue, instantly making her tense up, afraid that Chen Feng would see through her.

However, just then, Chen Feng's phone suddenly rang. He glanced at the phone and answered it. A cold voice came from the other end of the line.

"Chen Feng, where are you? Come to Jueke, something's happened here."

Chen Feng blinked at the unfamiliar voice on the other end of the phone, then calmly asked, "Who are you?"

Fang Hui gasped for breath on the other end of the phone, clearly angered by Chen Feng. She gritted her teeth and said, "This is Fang Hui. My cousin said you can handle this for me. You have five minutes to get here, or I'll have my cousin divorce you."

After saying that, the girl hung up the phone without any politeness. Chen Feng saw the black screen and hadn't even reacted yet.

That guy was begging him, wasn't he? Is this how you ask someone for help?

Chen Feng shook his head, put his phone in his pocket, and ignored Fang Hui. He figured he could help her when she learned to be respectful.

Chen Feng turned his gaze back to Lin Xue and said casually, "If the old man isn't here right now, I can go in and wait. It doesn't matter how long I wait."

Lin Xue was speechless, her eyes wide with disbelief as she stared at Chen Feng.

Is this guy really stupid or just pretending? Isn't her meaning clear enough? She clearly doesn't want Chen Feng to go in.

“If you say another day, then another day is another day. My grandfather isn’t home.”

Just then, a black Porsche pulled up in front of the door, and an old man slowly got out.

Upon seeing this, Lin Xue quickly ran over, helped the old man up, and smiled sweetly, "Grandpa, you're back."

Chen Feng, who was watching from the side, immediately knew who this person was. He quickly walked forward. The old man was a little surprised when he saw Chen Feng, and Chen Feng took the lead in introducing himself.

"Hello, I am Lin Xue's savior. I saved her once before."

The old man immediately turned to look at Lin Xue with concern and quickly asked, "Girl, what happened to you?"

Fearing that the old man might do something unexpected, Lin Xue quickly ordered the servants to call in all the security guards outside, determined to deal with this strange man.

But when she turned around, she was stunned.

Chen Feng leisurely sipped his tea, while the old man looked energetic and rosy-cheeked, appearing to be in much better condition than before.

"Grandpa, are you alright?" Lin Xue rushed over and asked.
