Zhang Hu peeked out from the side of the door, and a familiar face came into view.

"How come it's you, you little brat?" Zhang Hu's voice was full of surprise.

Bai Luo was overjoyed to see that it was Zhang Hu; they had finally found him.

Bai Luo looked at Zhang Hu, who was still blocking the doorway, with a look of surprise on his face.

"I came here to rent a place, I didn't expect you to live here, uncle. Is it convenient for us to come in and talk?" Bai Luo casually made up a lie to appease Zhang Hu.

Zhang Hu also realized that it wasn't appropriate to talk at the doorway.

Zhang Hu led Bai Luo to the living room and gestured for her to sit wherever she liked. "Kid, what are you doing here? Where's your sister?"

"My sister is at a hotel, and I'm out looking for a place to live," Bai Luo said casually, making up a story.

Otherwise, he wouldn't be able to explain how he found Zhang Hu.

"I saw a house here that seemed suitable, so I knocked on the door to ask if I wanted to rent it out. I didn't expect it to be your house."

"Do you still have rooms available for rent?" Zhang Hu was stumped by Bai Luo's question. He was about to leave once the mission was completed, and he wasn't sure if the house would be of any use later.

He could only shake his head helplessly at Bai Luo: "I just rented this house, and there are no vacancies. How about this, when the landlord comes back later, I'll ask him if he has any other rooms available. Which hotel are you staying at? I'll let you know as soon as I find out tonight."

"Is there any water?" Bai Luo didn't respond to Zhang Hu's question, intending to divert Zhang Hu's attention.

"Yes, wait a moment." Zhang Hu got up and went to the kitchen in the yard to get the thermos.

After seeing Zhang Hu walk towards the kitchen, Bai Luo took the documents out of his spatial storage and quickly walked into the bedroom with the door open.

After glancing around the bedroom layout, I saw the desk by the window and walked straight over. There were several books on the desk, which should belong to Qi Xing.

Then, he specifically chose the book that Qi Xing was reading at the train station and placed the folded document bag under the book.

After putting the documents away, I saw Zhang Hu already carrying the thermos and walking back.

Bai Luo quickly came out of the bedroom and sat back in her original spot.

After Zhang Hu came in, he found a cup and poured Bai Luo a cup of hot water. Bai Luo didn't stand on ceremony; he had been looking for these three people all morning and was indeed a little thirsty.

After finishing her water, Bai Luo said, "I'm leaving now, I still need to find a place to live." Without waiting for Zhang Hu's reply, she stood up and walked towards the door.

Zhang Hu watched Bai Luo walk out the door, opened his mouth but didn't say anything more. He simply saw Bai Luo out of the courtyard and watched her walk out of the alley.

After all, his identity is special, and getting too close to him could easily bring danger to the siblings, not to mention that he won't be staying in Haishi for long.

After Bai Luo's figure disappeared at the alley entrance, Zhang Hu looked left and right at both sides of the alley and found that no one had noticed the commotion before closing the door.

It was almost noon when Qi Xing and Zhong Yu returned from outside.

Zhang Hu quickly poured two glasses of water and handed them to the two of them.

Zhong Yu didn't stand on ceremony at all. She took the water glass and gulped down a large mouthful. She wiped the water from the corner of her mouth with her sleeve and took a breath.

“I spent the whole morning squatting near that headquarters; the place had been blown to rubble by explosives.” Zhong Yu said this with some excitement.

"It wasn't explosives, it was the main gun on the Japanese ship that fired it."

Qi Xing continued.

"what?"

"real or fake?"

Qi Xing saw the shocked expressions on Zhong Yu and Zhang Hu's faces; he himself had been shocked when he first heard the news.

"Could it be that the Japanese soldiers are fighting amongst themselves?" Zhong Yu said uncertainly, even she herself didn't quite believe it.

"No, someone infiltrated the Japanese battleship Chuyun and first used the main guns to bombard the Japanese headquarters. Then they blew up the battleship." Qi Xing interrupted Zhong Yu's speculation.

"Holy crap, who did this? Someone incredible! Someone from the Blue Party?" Zhang Hu asked immediately after hearing Qi Xing's words.

"It shouldn't be. If it had been bombed over there, it would have been reported long ago," Zhong Yu replied to Zhang Hu's guess after thinking for a moment.

"Alright, the most likely place to store that plan now is the Japanese military police headquarters, since that's the only place left after the Japanese were bombed." Qi Xing steered the conversation toward their mission.

Seeing that both of them had turned their attention to him, he continued speaking.

"This situation is not good for us. After these two explosions, the Japanese military police will definitely tighten their defenses."

I've already asked my comrades here to help us gather as much intelligence as possible, but we can't just sit around waiting.

"Zhong Yu, this afternoon you go to the entrance of the Japanese military police headquarters and keep watch, paying special attention to the whereabouts of that colonel and lieutenant general."

"Zhang Hu, you...you continue to guard the house."

"I will be in charge of surveying the area around the military police headquarters and the routes there."

“Yes, x2,” Zhang Hu and Zhong Yu replied simultaneously as they stood up.

Qi Xing waved his hand, gesturing for the two to sit down.

Suddenly, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed that the books on his desk looked like they had been moved.

"Alright, Zhang Hu, you've learned to study."

Zhang Hu was taken aback by these words. "What learning? I only know my own name; I don't recognize any of the other characters."

"Then why do you flip through books all the time? Are you bored staying indoors?"

Zhang Hu was even more puzzled by Qi Xing's words. "I didn't look at the book. I don't recognize any of the words on it. I looked at it once at headquarters before, but I couldn't understand it at all."

Qi Xing pointed to the desk not far away and said, "Someone has definitely touched these books. Zhang Hu, has anyone been in this room after we left?"

Zhang Hu slapped his forehead. "Sir, do you remember the brother and sister we met on the train? An hour ago, the boy came to this area looking for a house and happened to knock on the door of our safe house."

"By the way, sir, this house of ours... never mind, he didn't leave me an address, so it'll probably be hard to find him and his sister." Zhang Hu muttered to himself.

Qi Xing's heart sank as he listened. He didn't believe Bai Luo was simply looking for a house.

"After he left, did he walk towards the entrance of the alley, or did he continue towards the end of the alley?"

Zhang Hu was also intimidated by Qi Xing's increasingly serious expression and honestly replied, "The alley entrance."

"you sure?"

“I’m sure, I watched him until he walked out of the alley before he came back.”

Upon hearing Zhang Hu's confirmation, Qi Xing's heart sank even further, and he quickly got up and walked to his desk.

When he saw that the tampered book was the one he had been reading on the train, his expression turned even more unpleasant.

But then I noticed something underneath the book, so I immediately moved the book aside and found a folded file folder underneath.

When Qi Xing opened the folded document bag, he was shocked.

He had seen this kind of document bag before; it was a top-secret document bag from the Japanese, there was no mistake. He had seen this style of sealed document bag in a previous mission, for which two comrades had been killed. Although the seal on it had been broken, it was exactly the same as the one he had seen before.

Qi Xing quickly opened the file folder and took out its contents. Upon seeing the contents, he learned that this was their mission objective.

It's truly a case of finding something you've been searching for without any effort.

He quickly stuffed the documents back into the file bag, turned to Zhang Hu and Zhong Yu, and gave the order: "Pack your things immediately, we're leaving Hai City, quick!"

Both of them were completely baffled by Qi Xing.

Zhang Hu tentatively asked, "Could it be that the child is a spy? Have we been exposed?"

"No, we completed our mission. That kid wasn't a spy; he's a hero."

"Don't ask anymore. I explained it to you on the way. Follow orders and leave Haishi immediately."

Qi Xing knew that the Japanese were going through a period of great difficulty these past two days, and would definitely be making a large-scale arrest of suspicious persons, and might even seal off the train station and all exits.

Thinking of this, I became even more anxious; I absolutely could not let this document fall out of his hands.

"Don't bother packing, let's go straight to the train station."

Zhang Hu and his companion didn't know what had happened, but they still obediently followed orders.
