Chapter 96: Anger

Having redeemed herself, she had also fulfilled her promise. Rouge walked over with a shy expression and took her arm.

"Now that you have redeemed her, why don't you consummate your marriage here?"

Ji Meiqing refused outright, left a few taels of wine money, and was about to leave. Yan Zhi stood behind him, saying sweetly, "Young master, wait for me! I still need to pack my things."

"Oh, why bother packing? Just go with him. That young master will take care of everything for you. When you become a young mistress, don't forget your sisters." The girls shoved Rouge, pushing her behind Ji Meiqing.

She glanced at Ji Meiqing, her cheeks flushing instantly. Without even packing her things, she followed him. Once outside, Yanzhi rubbed her arms to warm them.

"Young master... how much longer until we arrive?" She looked around at the streets and shops, not knowing where Ji Meiqing lived, and asked her in a trembling voice.

Ji Meiqing didn't answer. She wanted to act coquettishly, but suddenly, looking at her cold and aloof voice, she became intimidated.

Trying to lighten the mood, she changed the subject and started chatting with him about everyday things.

"I haven't told you Young Master Ji's name yet." She smiled, and after waiting for a while without getting a reply from Ji Meiqing, she quickly said, "If Young Master Ji is unwilling to answer, it doesn't matter. I am already yours."

"Ji Qing," she said softly, her voice carrying a refreshing coolness. Yan Zhi glanced at him curiously, her gaze lingering on his neck for a moment before returning to his own.

Ji Meiqing took her directly back to the inn. Yanzhi looked around and then followed.

The inn was eerily quiet. The two entered the room. Ji Meiqing didn't say a word and went to make the bed, while Yanzhi followed behind, secretly observing her.

She turned around, looked at Rouge with a puzzled expression, and said, "Why are you looking at me? Go and have someone boil some water. We'll squeeze in tonight."

"Young master... are you a woman?" she asked tentatively.

Ji Meiqing trembled slightly, but quickly stood up. "You have a problem with that?"

"No." Rouge quickly waved her hand, then looked at her timidly.

"It would be best if you had no objections." She turned around, her gaze suddenly turning sharp. "From now on, you will be the wife of the Ji family."

"What does my lord need me to do?"

"I want you to ruin Ji Tianzhuo's marriage." She slightly curled the corners of her lips, her gaze passing directly past him, looking far into the distance. Rouge only glanced at him before immediately lowering her head again.

She dared not refuse Ji Meiqing's orders, and at the same time, she was quite curious to see what the Ji family had done to offend Ji Meiqing.

She looked away and continued to lower her head.

Ji Meiqing was too lazy to look at her anymore, as she looked like an inferior person. But it was getting late, and she didn't want to say anything more. She simply lay down fully clothed.

Rouge watched for a while, then followed. Ji Meiqing pushed her away and pointed to the door expressionlessly, "Have someone boil some water, you smell too bad."

"Oh..." Rouge pouted and then left the room.

The door opened, but the room fell completely silent. She was so tired that she fell asleep as soon as she lay down.

When Rouge came in, she saw that she was already asleep, so she curiously walked over and secretly touched her lower body.

As expected... it was a woman.

"Miss, the water is ready. Shall we bring it in now?" the person outside asked her quietly.

Rouge immediately went over and had someone bring the water behind the screen. Then she gave him a small tip.

Thinking that this was the only piece of clothing she had, and also considering that Ji Meiqing was a woman, she secretly ran over, opened her bundle, and took two pieces of clothing. She changed into them after washing them.

She didn't go to bed until midnight. Before lying down, she kicked Ji Meiqing a little further in.

When Ji Mei regained consciousness, she was startled when she looked at the person next to her, and almost woke him up.

However, after her memories returned last night, she rubbed her head in pain, as if she had done something bad.

The person next to her was fast asleep, which annoyed Ji Meiqing. She casually patted her face, and Yan Zhi woke up groggily. When she saw Ji Meiqing, she gave her a happy smile.

"Good morning."

"What a jerk!" she thought to herself, but forced a smile onto her face. "Aren't you getting up?"

"Hmm..." She yawned, a dreamy smile on her charming face, looking like a kitten. Ji Meiqing gave her a strange look.

"Aren't you getting up?"

"Get up, get up." She said as she struggled to get up, still wearing Ji Meiqing's clothes, which were probably too small for her size. They were bulging out of her chest.

Ji Meiqing glanced at her, then looked at herself, and suddenly felt a little regretful.

Rouge saw through her thoughts and comforted her, "It's alright, young master should be better than me in time."

"roll……"

I went to a clothing store and bought her a few outfits to change into before we walked down the street as usual. Rouge was already quite pretty, and Ji Meiqing looked even more dashing in men's clothing. The two of them standing together looked incredibly well-matched.

They attracted a lot of attention along the way. Rouge kept smiling, then tugged at Ji Meiqing's sleeve and quietly asked, "Where are we going?"

"A brothel." She said succinctly, but the person next to her instantly turned pale.

“We still have to be able to back out.” She looked around, then pulled her into an alley. The entrance to the alley wasn’t too narrow; the two of them walked in side by side, and there was still about a meter of width between them.

The two walked to a courtyard and stopped in front of a tightly closed door. She knocked gently, and after a while, someone came to open the door for them. Seeing that it was Ji Meiqing, she wasn't too surprised and led them inside.

Rouge secretly glanced at the scenery and then at the person in front of her. As she was pondering her question, she suddenly turned a corner and almost bumped into someone.

"Miss Ji?" The man was somewhat surprised. "Are you here to see Madam Hu?"

She nodded. "Is Aunt Hu still awake?"

"Awake." He looked at Ji Meiqing, who seemed hesitant to speak, then at Yanzhi beside her. Yanzhi was looking at him with her big, watery eyes, so he smiled politely.

Rouge smiled back at him.

Ji Meiqing stood directly in front of Yanzhi, giving him a wary look.

"You guys go ahead, she's talking to someone."

"Hmm..." She nodded with a forced smile, then had someone lead them forward.

When they arrived at the destination, the person simply announced that Ji Meiqing had arrived, and the door was opened after a while.

The two went inside, and the door was closed.
