Chapter 74: Lifting

Lu Yu also arrived after hearing the news. He saw that the flowers and plants in the backyard were scattered everywhere and the ground was a mess. He then saw Ji Meiqing standing between the two groups of people.

He immediately ran over and asked anxiously, "Are you alright?"

Ji Meiqing shook her head. "I'm fine, but the Qiu family has come to cause trouble."

Looking at Qiu, Li said with grief and indignation, "I kindly found you a job, and this is how you treat me. You have no conscience at all."

"They're probably in for a rough time." The ground was littered with debris and fragments, and a shovel lay nearby.

"What happened?" Lu Yu asked.

Li Ming said calmly, "I just asked him to go to the fields to till the soil, but he refused to hit people directly with a shovel."

The words were written clearly and plainly on the paper. Qiu's face turned red, and in the end, she could only leave with her family.
