Chapter 369: Exposing

Seeing that they didn't mind and had gone inside, Shen Bin breathed a sigh of relief. He looked coldly at the people kneeling on the ground, snorted, and said, "From this day forward, you are not allowed to step into the Shen residence." With that, he turned and left.

"Young Master Shen, I apologize for the neglect." Shen Bin entered and saw that Lu Yu, Ji Meiqing, and Zhao Lei were already seated. He said with a slight apology. Since Ji Meiqing didn't hold it against him, Lu Yu didn't say anything either. So, the three of them stood there silently, making Shen Bin feel somewhat awkward.

Shen Bin instructed the servants to serve the dishes and pour the wine. Ji Meiqing was the first to take a wine cup, stood up, and said, "Young Master Shen, this cup is for you. I hope you will treat Ning'er well. Brother Lu and I will be returning to Rongcheng in a few days." After saying this, she drank the wine in her hand in one gulp. She and Zhao Lei ate their meal quietly to the side. When they saw that a jar of wine was finished, the two of them seemed not to be satisfied, and Lu Yu was about to ask the servants to bring a few more jars of wine.

Ji Meiqing couldn't sit still any longer. She grabbed Lu Yu's hand and said, "Don't drink anymore. It's fine if you drink too much, but if Young Master Shen drinks too much and leaves Ning'er alone in the room, wouldn't that be a laughing stock?" Lu Yu looked at the person in his arms, who always had whimsical ideas, with puzzlement, and couldn't help but stroke her slender shoulders.

Sitting in the room, Zhao Ning'er's bottom ached from sitting for so long, and her eyes were extremely sleepy. She gripped the apple in her hand tightly, feeling a little anxious, wondering when Shen Bin would arrive. Even the veil on her head felt heavy. He rushed forward and hugged her to comfort her, but Zhao Ning'er was like a hedgehog, not letting anyone get close and desperately pushing away Shen Bin.
