Inside the Demon King's Castle meeting room.

Jer looked anxious.

"What do we do! Lady Ariel, this isn't what we planned! The Demon King must have been exposed!"

Mei kicked him directly.

"Just shut up! Don't say a word!"

Jer looked aggrieved. "This wasn't how it was planned at all!"

Everyone looked at Ariel, waiting for her reply.

Ariel tapped her fingers on the table, then suddenly stopped and smiled.

"This might be even more perfect! If we follow the original plan and wait for the hero's reinforcements to rescue him, it will take too long, and the hero might discover the trickery involved!"

"In this way, the hero will have no reason to doubt Diana!"

Upon hearing this, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Dimitrus adjusted his glasses and suddenly started clapping.

Everyone looked at Demitrus.

"As expected of His Majesty the Demon King! Even from the sidelines, he can see through our plan and find its flaws. Just how far has His Majesty's wisdom gone!"

The demons felt inexplicably watched by a pair of eyes; this feeling that their every move was being controlled by someone else sent chills down their spines.

Ariel's voice interrupted everyone's thoughts.

"No need to monitor the hero anymore. Report any unusual activity from Diana immediately! Meeting adjourned!"

"Yes!"

Everyone agreed in unison.

······

Diana and the hero's party are on their way back.

Diana originally planned to fly back by herself, but Sora was just too good at sweet-talking her.

Diana could only reluctantly accompany them.

Throughout the journey, Sora clung to Diana almost constantly, asking her all sorts of questions, which was quite annoying.

In the afternoon, they finally returned to the border town, and Adolf breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that everyone had returned safely.

"Anna, are you alright?"

Diana pulled her hand away from Sora's grasp.

"Easy to solve!"

Sora looked regretful.

When everyone returned to the camp, it was dinnertime. Diana brought out a lot of meat and asked the soldiers to cook it.

After a fairly pleasant meal, the group of heroes prepared to return to Oliver City to regroup.

Diana reminds the hero:

"Don't go causing trouble at the Demon King's castle again! It's already a big favor that the Demon King agreed not to start a war!"

Enoch gave an awkward laugh and said nothing.

After walking for a while, Sora suddenly remembered something, turned around and waved.

"Anna~ You're back in the capital! You absolutely have to come visit me~"

Diana waved her hand, a polite way of declining.

After watching the heroes board the carriage, Diana looked at Adolf.

"Master, I'm also planning to leave tomorrow morning for Louise's house. When are you going back to the academy?"

Adolf pondered for a moment.

"I still have some things to take care of, so I'll leave in a few days."

"Oh," Diana replied.

The next morning, the same general was there, waiting early at Diana's door.

When Diana opened the door, she saw him waiting, holding two swords.

Upon seeing Diana emerge, the general stepped forward and presented her with a sword.

“Miss Diana, I apologize for offending you the other day. Here are your two swords.”

Diana looked at the sword, which had been polished to a gleaming shine.

"I'll bring you here~"

The general was somewhat pleased, but still refused:

"How can I accept such a valuable sword?"

Diana looked at his hand gripping the sword hilt with disdain.

"Alright, take it if you want. It's embarrassing for a regimental commander like you not to have a decent sword!"

The general blushed deeply after being spoken to.

"Thank you very much, Miss Diana. If you ever need my help in the future, please don't hesitate to ask, and I will do my best!"

Suddenly remembering something, Diana asked:

"By the way, I still don't know your name."

The smiling general's face suddenly froze.

"A name is just a title; as long as the friendship remains, there's no need for such formalities!"

"speak English!"

The general stammered...

Seeing this, a soldier nearby quietly came over to Diana and whispered a few words in her ear.

Pfft~ Diana couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Upon seeing this, the general kicked the soldier who had informed on him.

"It's you again, you brat! You're not getting dinner tonight!"

As she was leaving, Diana tossed the general a bag of gold coins, and before he could refuse, she spoke up.

"This isn't for you, it's for the soldiers to improve their meals! Life will get better and better from now on!"

Upon hearing this, several soldiers nearby couldn't help but wipe their eyes.

After saying goodbye to Adolf, I listened to him ramble on for a while.

Diana flew towards the city of Williere, towards Louise's house.

This time I'm prepared and won't make the same silly mistake of getting lost again.

Diana brought a map—a magical map—marking all the towns and villages within the human territory.

There's also a red dot above it, showing her location in real time—it's quite intelligent!

This was specially prepared for her by Adolf, in case she got lost again and wandered into some dangerous place.

With this intelligent map, accurate navigation is possible, greatly reducing travel time.

They didn't encounter any monsters along the way, and some villagers had returned to live there.

'It seems the demons did heed my orders!'

These past few days of traveling have been tough on Xiaobai~

After this period of consumption, all the food I bought from the college supermarket has long been gone.

Unfortunately, Diana had no choice but to do it herself.

"Pshaw~ Something's not right! The steps are all correct, so why are the test results different?"

Diana spat out the pork in her mouth, stared at the whole pig leg in her hand, and fell into deep thought.

Little White lay sprawled on the ground, utterly dejected. Her palate had been spoiled, and she no longer appreciated anything Diana made.

Thinking of something, Xiaobai got up, ran to Diana's side, and tapped her bracelet.

Diana looked at Xiaobai's face and got a little angry. She handed the pig's leg to her.

"There's no more food in the bracelet, here~ have this delicious pork leg!"

Little White didn't even sniff it, turning its head away with an air of arrogance.

"Okay...okay...okay, you don't want to eat, huh? Then none of us will eat!"

Diana threw the pig's leg right into the air!

Xiao Bai looked at Diana's behavior with disdain. "You've used this trick so many times already!"

It's just an excuse to throw it away; even you can't bring yourself to do it.

The next day, before dawn, Diana woke up. They were already very close to Louise's house, and if they left early, they could still make it in time for lunch!

As expected, Diana arrived outside Louise’s estate at noon.

Hearing the commotion, the guards all gathered around.

"How dare you! Who goes there!"

A man who appeared to be the leader stopped the crowd and quickly bowed.

"I'm sorry, Miss Diana, they don't know you."

Diana waved her hand.

"It's alright, go and report it!"

The man agreed and ran into the manor.

Not long after, the group came out, and Cora ran over and hugged Diana.

"Anna, I miss you so much!"

She was crying as she spoke.

Diana patted her on the back and spit out the drool from the corner of her mouth.

"I miss you too, Cora!"

He patted Jenny's head again as she ran over.

"And you, Jenny!"

Jenny nodded, her eyes red.

Louise and her family also arrived at the door.

Louise wanted to say something but hesitated. Her second sister, Katoria, gently nudged her from behind.

Louise's face flushed slightly.

"Welcome home, Anna!"

Diana was taken aback, and looking at Louise's family with smiles on their faces, she felt a warmth in her heart.

Diana tilted her head, scratched it, and grinned, revealing two rows of white, even teeth.

"I'm back~"
