Chapter 35 The Construction of Magic Circles

Before Diana could speak...

The group of old men in the audience started arguing amongst themselves.

"Robert, you shameless old man! You said you'd let her choose for herself!"

"Diana! Become my disciple, and I'll give you 10 gold coins every month!"

"Diana! Become my apprentice! My grandson is handsome and rich, I'll introduce you to him~"

Adolf gripped his staff and slammed it hard onto the ground.

"Shut up, all of you! Look at yourselves! Do you even have the awareness of being academicians anymore?!"

The old men's faces flushed slightly, and their argument abruptly ceased.

Diana took a bite of the apple and looked at Adolf.

"Grandpa Dean, could we finish the test in one go? It's quite a hassle going up and down all the way here!"

Adolf wiped the sweat from his forehead.

"This... doesn't seem to follow the rules!"

Diana pursed her lips.

"Then my subsequent magic is uncertain!"

Several old men in the audience frantically winked at him, and Adolf had no choice but to agree.

And so began the most outrageous test in the history of Austin Academy!

Several academicians stood behind Diana.

The purple-robed academician stood before the pillar, pondered for a moment, and then spent some time inscribing a complex magic circle on it.

Adolf frowned when he saw the magic circle.

A sense of foreboding rose in his heart, before he could stop himself.

Diana glanced at the complex magic circle and became somewhat interested.

He placed his hand above, and immediately a suction force came from the magic circle, causing his mana to involuntarily flow into it.

The suction force on the magic circle stopped, and Diana felt that she could still inject mana into it.

But she didn't do that, because a thunder dragon had already appeared before her eyes.

To outsiders, all they saw was that the moment Diana placed her hand on the pillar, a dark cloud appeared out of nowhere above the podium, flashing with lightning!

Lightning bolts continued to gather in front of Diana from the dark clouds, and a lightning dragon crackling with electric arcs took shape, with crackling sounds all around.

A fanatical glint flashed in the eyes of the old man in purple robes.

"A genius! A genius!"

Adolf's expression changed drastically, and he hurriedly urged them on.

"Anna! Quickly, take back your magic! Hurry!"

Diana turned to look at Adolf, completely bewildered.

"Um... Grandpa Dean, it seems like I can't get my magic back."

Adolf broke out in a cold sweat and shouted down at the audience.

"Get down right now!"

The students below the stage were in complete chaos, screaming continuously.

Adolf didn't stop, waving his wand, and a blue barrier enveloped the students below the stage.

roar~

With a long roar, the Thunder Dragon charged toward a grove of trees at the edge of the plaza.

The thunder dragon flew over the students' heads, and the students under the protective shield trembled!

Thunder Dragon charged into the jungle and wreaked havoc, raising clouds of dust wherever it went, carving out a passage several meters wide through the jungle!

The dark clouds above the podium slowly dissipated.

Diana breathed a sigh of relief; thankfully, no one was hurt.

Adolf glared angrily at the old man in purple robes.

"Scott! Are you crazy! Using such dangerous magic for a test! Your entire paycheck for this month is off!"

Scott remained indifferent, his fervor undiminished.

"I never expected she could even unleash 'Thunderous Dragon Breath'! Just how much magic power does she possess?!"

In the end, Adolf didn't let Diana test anymore, fearing she might cause some trouble!

Amidst the shocked gazes of the crowd, Diana returned to her seat.

The next test went much better, and Cora and Jenny also went up to take the test, but unfortunately neither of them were able to cast a spell.

The hundred or so trainees were quickly tested, and the academicians selected some talented trainees as their disciples.

Adolf gave another speech, informing the students to gather at the teaching building the next morning, and then dismissed them.

Diana breathed a sigh of relief and looked at Cora beside her.

"Phew~ It's finally over! Let's go check out the farm today!"

He then looked at Louise.

"Louise, what about you? Want to go out and have some fun?"

Louise hesitated for a moment; she really wanted to go with them.

"Excuse me, Diana, I have to go report to Academician Robert later."

"It's okay, let's go together next time!"

Just as Diana and her two companions were about to leave, Adolf and the academicians arrived.

"Anna, come to my office with me, I have something to tell you."

"What's the matter? We still need to go check on the farm!"

Adolf felt mentally exhausted. He was the dean, after all, so why did he feel so inferior?

"Here's the thing, after our discussion, we've decided that you can choose who to learn magic from."

Diana glanced at the group of kind-looking old men behind Adolf.

"Why do I have to choose one? I can just study with them!"

······

Adolf and the other academicians were puzzled, but it seemed to make some sense.

"Anna! You need to choose an attribute as your main skill; spreading your energy too thin is not worth it!"

"What's the point of being distracted? I'll understand after watching it once, why bother with all that trouble!"

······

Everyone was completely dumbfounded. "Are you even speaking human language?!"

"Anna, are you sure? You can learn it after watching it just once?"

Diana nodded.

"Hmm! If I could create magic circles out of thin air, I would have shown you that lightning magic just now."

Adolf wiped the sweat from his forehead.

"Anna! You can't use that kind of magic carelessly in the academy anymore! It's very dangerous!"

"Oh! I see. By the way, Grandpa Dean, do you know how to create a magic circle out of thin air?"

This isn't exactly important knowledge, Adolf thought to himself.

"The construction of a magic circle is related to the user's consciousness and spiritual power, and can also be seen as a manifestation of imagination and creativity."

"Feel the magical elements in the air, try to communicate with those particles, and arrange them in the shape of a magic circle in your mind, and you can build a magic circle."

"Your magical affinity is too great. It's very difficult to find particles with the corresponding attributes to form a magic circle."

"That's why I suggested you specialize in one attribute, and through years of communicating with those particles, achieve the effect of doing whatever you want!"

Diana seemed to understand, but not quite, and closed her eyes to sense the elemental particles around her.

When sensing the surrounding elemental particles, the six crystals inside the body sparkled.

Suddenly, various colored lights twinkled in the pitch-black field of vision, like colorful stars, making me feel as if I were in the universe!

Diana raised her hand, and the blue crystal within her body shone even brighter.

The surrounding blue stars, as if summoned by something, pushed aside the other stars and danced before her eyes.

Diana tried to control them to form a magic circle.

They were very obedient and let Diana do as she pleased.

Adolf almost laughed when he saw Diana close her eyes and raise her hand.

"Anna! To create a magic circle out of thin air, you need years of..."

"Water Shield!"

Before Adolf could finish speaking, a blue magic circle instantly formed in front of Diana's finger.

A giant shield made of water instantly appeared~
