Ye Luoli: The Charismatic Girl Leads the World to Darkness

Chapter 85 Props Girl, don't you feel a great sense of accomplishment?

After walking with Mo Ran in the forest for a while, Yan Xi finally chose a place she liked, casually sat cross-legged on a rock, and stuck the Fire Essence Eye into her eye.

Blood and tears slid down her left cheek, dripping onto her blood-red collar and leaving faint wet streaks.

Yan Xi closed her eyes, placed her hands in a mudra in front of her chest, and a continuous stream of immortal power flowed through her meridians and finally settled in her eye sockets, forming a large cycle. This barely suppressed the raging fire essence eyes.

After a while, Yan Xi withdrew her hand, wiped the blood and tears from her face with her sleeve, and then complained to Mo Ran, "Human bodies are so damn fragile, I miss my divine body so much!"

Mo Ran leaned against the tree trunk directly opposite Yan Xi with his arms crossed, his head hanging down, his right index finger tapping incessantly on his left arm, clearly deep in thought.

Hearing Yan Xi's words, she came to her senses, looked up at her, and immediately saw that Yan Xi's body was completely unable to withstand the two fiery eyes. Even with all her immortal power mobilized, her body was collapsing at a slow but considerable rate.

If the cycle of immortal energy stops or collapses, the consequences will be unimaginable.

Mo Ran stared into Yan Xi's eyes, feeling increasingly uneasy, and asked, "Aren't you going to take it out?"

Yan Xi brushed aside the hair piled up at her neck, leaned forward slightly, rested her chin on her right hand, propped her elbow on her knee, and shook her head with a pale face. "Wait five more minutes."

His dark eyes darkened slightly, the feeling that something was wrong growing stronger. "Why?"

Yan Xi rested her chin on her hand, coughed softly twice, then smiled slightly at Mo Ran, "Doing a mission~"

Mo Ran's brow twitched, a thought flashing through her mind, but it was too fast for her to grasp. However, her tone turned serious, "What exactly do you want?"

Yan Xi swayed, as if her legs had gone numb, so she straightened her legs and pounded them a few times, then let her calves dangle and put her feet on the ground. Then she propped herself up on her legs and rested her chin on her hands.

In just a short while, her face became even paler, her lips lost all color, and even the exposed skin below her neck began to crack, with tiny wounds oozing blood little by little, making her look particularly gruesome.

Of course, her face wasn't spared either. Her right cheek was covered in wounds from the corner of her eye to her chin, constantly cracking, healing, and cracking again, making her look like a porcelain doll on the verge of breaking.

But she still wore a smiling expression, the curve of her lips not only not falling, but even widening slightly. She shook her head, giving irrelevant answers, a hint of extreme madness hidden in her eyes.

"Mo Ran, from now on we won't need to bother patching up the gaps... Let them come—the more the better!"

This time, Mo Ran didn't ask why. She stared at Yan Xi's back and her pupils suddenly contracted. She didn't even have time to warn her to be careful.

A cold glint! A fleeting, chilling glint!

A cold glint flashed in the dark forest behind Yan Xi and appeared behind her in an instant, heading straight for her neck!

It's a sword! A long sword with a chilling gleam!

hum-

The longsword came whistling through the air, but Yan Xi slightly tilted her head to the left and dodged it!

But it's not over yet!

Yan Xi braced her hands on either side of her body, twisted her waist, and jerked her head back sharply, causing her to droop a bit in a contorted and bizarre posture!

At the same time, a hand gripped the hilt of the sword, and the wrist flipped as Yan Xi sank, the blade turning sideways and sweeping horizontally to the left!

Swah——

A strand of long, dark hair drifted down.

Seeing that his two attacks missed, the man frowned and was about to flip his sword and slash downwards, but he didn't have the chance. Mo Ran's attack arrived!

One after another, dark green thorny brambles sprouted from under the man's feet, instantly twisting into a giant hand that slapped him away. Then the vines disintegrated and followed the man into the air, wrapping him up completely, leaving only his head and calves exposed.

The man struggled desperately, but was immediately pricked by the thorns and howled in pain. Then he launched into a tirade of curses, his language foul and offensive. His last words were to tell them not to be arrogant, that he was just a vanguard assassin and the main force was still behind.

Mo Ran glanced at him expressionlessly, scoffed, and clenched his fist. The thorns wrapped around the man's neck tightened abruptly, and the sharp spikes grew wildly after piercing flesh. The man only had time to kick his legs twice before he went straight to the Western Paradise to worship Buddha and seek scriptures... cough, wrong scene.

died.

He died less than three minutes after appearing on screen; his death was simple and brutal.

Mo Ran exhaled, waved away the vines, and without looking at the blood-splattering corpse that had fallen to the ground, walked straight towards Yan Xi.

Yan Xi had already reached her breaking point. She let go and fell onto the stone slab, slowly adjusting her dislocated joints and spine back into place.

"Is everything okay?"

Yan Xi climbed up from the rock, patted the hem of her skirt, and said, "I won't die."

Looking at her smiling expression, Mo Ran suddenly understood something, and her voice trembled slightly: "You, you did it on purpose..."

Yan Xi didn't answer, she just smiled and looked at her with an ambiguous expression.

"Hehehehehehe..."

Mo Ran's shoulders trembled slightly, and she suddenly burst into laughter. She laughed wildly until her eyes turned red and tears streamed down her face, a stark contrast to her usual calm and composed demeanor.

Yan Xi raised her hand to wipe away the bloodstains on her right cheek, but the blood quickly seeped out again. After wiping it twice without success, Yan Xi simply gave up, crossed her arms, and looked at Mo Ran with a smile.

Mo Ran laughed for a long time before stopping. She wiped away her tears with the back of her hand, her eyes red and her face pale. "No wonder...you didn't believe me?"

Why should I believe it? We've only known each other for less than a month, right?

Yan Xi pondered, her smile fading slightly, her eyes gradually turning cold. She subtly moved her fingers, taking a card from her system inventory, holding it between two fingers, and presented it to Mo Ran. Her voice was soft yet piercing.

"When the system sent you to my system inventory, I assumed it was the same permanent item as before, and since we had a contract, I didn't look at it closely. A while ago, I suddenly felt like looking through my inventory... guess what I found?"

Yan Xi waved the gold card, her cynical smile returning, but her voice was colder now.

"Ha—a limited-time trial card for an item!"

Mo Ran's face turned even paler, and her lips trembled slightly. Even though the wind was warm, she shivered from the cold.

Her eyes reflected the man's cracked smile, as broken as a porcelain doll's. A buzzing sound filled her mind, and she could only vaguely hear a very soft voice.

"The prop lady who ranked number one on the rental props review list, you tricked me into going to so much trouble to coax you, don't you feel a sense of accomplishment?"

She slowly closed her eyes.

See, I told you I couldn't fool her for long...
