After swapping bodies, I became a domineering CEO in a melodramatic novel.

Chapter 31: The Chapter That Requires a Blood Transfusion, I'll Do It.

"You...you are shameless!" Yu Yuetong was anxious and quickly stepped forward, trying to stop this pointless conflict.

Ji Momo's provocation made her uneasy. She worried that if she made Ji Momo too powerful, Qin Reng would do what was in the original script: have her blood drawn for a kidney transplant. This kind of melodramatic plot, done to save Ji Momo, truly chilled her to the bone.

"Tell me if you're alright?" Ignoring Qin Reng who was nearby, Yu Yuetong leaned down and looked at Ji Momo with concern, her eyes flashing with worry.

She wished she could use her care to counteract Ji Momo's schemes and scheming.

Ji Momo was slightly taken aback, then revealed a nonchalant smile, "I'm fine. Why would I worry about someone as insignificant as you?"

"Don't say such unreliable things. Is the wound treated properly?" Yu Yuetong looked up at her with a firm gaze. "I hope you get better. Qin Reng, take her to the hospital right away!"

Qin Reng appeared somewhat helpless, his dark emotions intertwined with a sudden sense of responsibility, but he still said coldly, "You wait, I don't want to waste time with her right now!"

The two immediately drove towards the hospital, while Yu Yuetong quickly observed Ji Momo's injuries in the car. A complex emotion welled up in her heart from time to time—although she disliked Ji Momo, she wanted to do everything she could to care for Ji Momo in order to prevent any worse consequences.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Ji Momo was quickly wheeled into the emergency room by the nurses. The doctors were busy with their work, their demeanor decisive, though the situation was unclear.

Yu Yuetong paced anxiously in circles at the door, while Qin Reng spoke with the police on the side.

"The accident just now was due to the other party's careless driving. We need to investigate the specific details." A young policeman turned to answer Qin Reng, his eyes slightly cautious.

"I don't want to deal with this kind of trouble anymore. Just give me a call," Qin Reng said coldly, seemingly annoyed by the situation.

Yu Yuetong was extremely anxious. She couldn't help but step past Qin Reng and ask the police officer, "Excuse me, what's the situation now? Is Ji Momo alright?"

“We are still investigating, but the bleeding is quite severe and needs to be treated as soon as possible.” The police officer responded while staring at her with a scrutinizing gaze.

“She’s my friend, and I can help her if she needs it!” Yu Yuetong said eagerly, secretly feeling uneasy about her courage.

She couldn't let Ji Momo suffer the tragedy of the storm, especially not by her side.

Otherwise, tragedy would have befallen her!

The atmosphere in the hospital was tense and oppressive, and the flickering lights in the emergency room made people feel even more nervous.

Just then, the test results arrived, stirring a warm sense of determination amidst the behind-the-scenes turmoil.

Finally, the emergency room door opened, and the doctor walked towards the crowd with a blank expression. "The patient needs a blood transfusion and will be transferred to the operating room soon."

"I'll do it!" Yu Yuetong almost instinctively stepped forward, thinking that she should follow the original plot and become the blood donation volunteer, since she wouldn't lose anything because of the blood donation.

At least this blood transfusion should cover the cost of future blood donations and kidney transplants! Although Qin Reng has seen through Ji Momo, the plot has strayed too far from the right path, and who knows what might happen in the future!

"You?" The doctor looked at her, puzzled. "Who are you?"

“I, I am her friend!” Yu Yuetong replied, taking a deep breath and trying to calm herself down.

Her palms were already sweating, but the thought of Qin Reng's anger in trying to save Ji Momo made her grit her teeth and resist everything.

Meanwhile, Qin Reng watched silently from the side as Yu Yuetong appeared anxious and fiery. He felt as if something had struck him, and an unnamed emotion surged within him.

He had thought she only cared about herself, but the certainty in her eyes made his heart tremble.

"Don't gamble with pointless things, okay?" He finally spoke, his tone carrying a hint of gentleness, like a ray of light in the darkness, bright yet dangerous. "That green tea bitch doesn't deserve what you're doing!"

"But she's in critical condition right now, how can I just sit idly by?" Yu Yuetong argued resentfully, sparks flying in her eyes.

"So, things got complicated from the very first time you tried to break up with me."

Qin Reng felt a pang of sadness in his heart. His voice was strong and deep, and his hands were in his pockets, as if the heavy burden of fate was hanging on his shoulders.

However, the intense longing in his heart constantly resonated within his soul.

He felt he needed to calm down, so he turned and left the ward.

But Yu Yuetong still rushed to give Ji Momo an IV drip without hesitation.

Qin Reng couldn't understand why she did this, but she had to, otherwise she would be finished.

A burning flame raged within Yu Yuetong, a mixture of anger and anxiety. She could not allow Ji Momo's fate to continue to be controlled. Although she and this supporting female character were not friends, and could even be considered enemies, her current situation forced her to compromise.

“If you need a blood transfusion, I’ll do it,” Yu Yuetong grabbed the doctor’s wrist, her gaze resolute, as if to say, “I refuse to believe this!”

"Are you sure?" The doctor paused for a moment, a hint of hesitation flashing across his face.

“Of course, I am her friend!” Yu Yuetong responded decisively. Although she knew deep down that she did not want to continue to have anything to do with Ji Momo, she had to protect herself first in order not to repeat the mistakes of the original owner.

“Okay, come with me.” The doctor seemed moved by her determination and led her to the blood transfusion room.

At this moment, Qin Reng lingered at the door, silently watching Yu Yuetong's back, his fear gradually rising in his heart.

He could tell that Yu Yuetong wasn't simply soft-hearted; her eyes revealed a resolute determination, as if she were making a daring deal.

"How can you bear it?" Qin Reng suddenly stepped forward, his voice as deep as the falling night. "That's Ji Momo. She's not worth your sacrifice."

"I don't care if she's worth it, I just want to clean up this mess!" Yu Yuetong tried to stay calm, but she could feel the impulse surging in her heart like a tide.

"So you did this for yourself," Qin Reng said with a hint of helplessness. "Do you really want to be in this situation because of her?"

Yu Yuetong turned around abruptly, her eyes burning like flames, a cold smile curling at the corner of her lips. "I hate her, I wish she were dead. But I'm even more afraid of repeating the same mistake and becoming someone else's victim."

After a standoff, Qin Reng seemed moved by her determination and fully understood her bitterness. However, a trace of unease still lingered in his heart.

“I don’t want to see you like this,” Qin Reng finally spoke, his voice filled with helplessness and protectiveness. “You’re always so stubborn. I can help you get rid of Ji Momo; you don’t need to do this!”

"Who knows what will happen in the future..." Yu Yuetong muttered to herself as she walked towards the infusion room.
