Qin Reng opened the door and saw Ji Momo standing outside.

She was dressed in a smart business suit, carrying a thermos in her hand, and had a gentle smile on her face.

"President Qin, I've brought you lunch," Ji Momo said softly.

Qin Reng paused for a moment, then subconsciously looked at Yu Yuetong.

Yu Yuetong was glaring at him with a displeased expression, her eyes full of warning.

Qin Reng was immediately at a loss. How could he have forgotten that this body belonged to Yu Yuetong!

If Ji Momo notices anything amiss, then things will get complicated.

"Oh, thank you, I'll give it to President Qin for you," Qin Reng said, forcing a smile, and took the thermos.

Ji Momo's gaze lingered on Yue Tong for a moment, a hint of doubt flashing in her eyes.

However, she quickly covered it up and said with a smile, "You're welcome. I made this myself, and I hope Mr. Qin will like it."

Yu Yuetong rolled her eyes inwardly.

This woman is really convincing at acting. If she didn't know the plot, I would have been fooled by her.

"Come in," Yu Yuetong said, stepping aside to let Ji Momo into the room.

None of the people in the room spoke, and the atmosphere suddenly became somewhat awkward.

Yu Yuetong coughed lightly, trying to break the awkward atmosphere. "Um, Momo, have you had lunch?"

"Not yet," Ji Momo said with a smile. "I was planning to eat with you."

Yu Yuetong sneered inwardly. Eat together? Eat my ass!

"That's perfect, let's eat together," Yu Yuetong said, placing the thermos on the dining table.

Ji Momo readily agreed.

Qin Reng sat to the side, watching the two of them being so intimate, and felt a pang of jealousy.

He felt like an outsider, excluded from this heartwarming scene.

"President Qin, you seem to have lost weight recently," Ji Momo said with concern. "No matter how busy you are with work, you must take care of your health."

"I know," Yu Yuetong said with a smile. "I'll be careful."

Yu Yuetong thought to herself: Lost weight? That's because I haven't been eating properly lately!

"How's work been lately?" Yu Yuetong asked, trying to change the subject.

“Not bad,” Ji Momo said. “Thanks to the promotion by the company’s senior management, I am now a department manager.”

"That's good," Yu Yuetong said.

Yu Yuetong sneered inwardly.

Promotion? I bet it's all part of the unspoken rules!

Ji Momo opened the thermos, and a fragrant aroma wafted out. "I made your favorite sweet and sour pork ribs today."

Yu Yuetong's eyes lit up. "Really? I love sweet and sour pork ribs the most!"

Qin Reng rolled his eyes inwardly. Favorite food? How come I didn't know that?

Ji Momo picked up a piece of spare rib and brought it to Qin Reng's lips. "Try it, how does it taste?"

Yu Yuetong opened her mouth and ate the rib, a satisfied expression on her face. "Mmm, so delicious!"

Qin Reng felt even worse seeing this. He felt like a third wheel.

"By the way, Mr. Qin, I heard you've been busy with a big project lately," Ji Momo said. "Remember to get some rest."

"I know," Yu Yuetong said. "I'll be careful."

Qin Reng sneered inwardly. A big project? I bet it's just about picking up girls!

Just then, Yu Yuetong suddenly stood up, interrupting Ji Momo.

"Excuse me, I need to use the restroom," Yu Yuetong said, then turned and went into the restroom.

She clearly only wanted to divorce him and start her life anew.

Seeing Yu Yuetong's resolute attitude, Ji Momo had no choice but to leave the restroom dejectedly.

After Ji Momo left, Qin Reng stepped out from behind Yu Yuetong. "Thanks."

"Thank me for what?" Yu Yuetong asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Thank you for getting me out of that predicament," Qin Reng said. "If it weren't for you, I wouldn't know how to deal with that woman."

"You're welcome," Yu Yuetong waved her hand dismissively.

Qin Reng looked at Yu Yuetong, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes. "Actually... I just didn't want her to bother us."

"Disturbing us?" Yu Yuetong was taken aback for a moment, then realized that Qin Reng was referring to their "marital relationship." She was speechless; this man was really too immersed in his role!

"Qin Reng, our marriage is only a marriage of convenience, don't forget that," Yu Yuetong reminded him.
