Magical Journey: The Other Shore Blooms on the Other Shore

Chapter 56 Dog God Cult and Cat God Cult, Part 3

“So, you want me to take you to see that guy, Luo Niou,” Elena said.

"It's Romeo, Miss Witch!" Juliet said angrily, puffing out her cheeks.

"Oh, oh." Elena smiled and extended a hand.

“Miss Witch, you are so kind. If I hold your hand, will you use your magic to take me to Romeo?” Juliet said, moved. “Your beauty will be remembered by the Dog God.”

Juliet then grasped the hand that Elena offered.

But after a while, the imagined teleportation did not occur.

The air was suddenly going quiet; the awkward atmosphere was just waiting for a crow to fly by.

"Teleportation? What are you doing?" Juliet couldn't help but ask in confusion.

“I don’t know such advanced magic,” Elena said seriously.

"Then why did you extend your hand?"

"Aren't we asking you for payment?"

By the God of Dogs, please forgive my poor eyesight; I retract my previous praise.

"Then why aren't you letting go?" Juliet said.

"Handshake fee".

Did this person never see money in their past life?

The scene became somewhat awkward, and even Qin, who had been silent the whole time, turned her face away from the awkward situation.

"Juliet—where are you?" A faint voice seemed to come from not far away, clearly indicating that the people who came looking for Juliet had arrived.

“Miss Witch, give this letter to Romeo. Here are three gold coins. Deliver it personally.” Juliet sighed as she saw that the person looking for her was about to arrive. “Furthermore, if you deliver Romeo’s reply to me, I will give you another three gold coins.”

“You trust me so much.” Elena accepted the letter and gold coins.

“Just now, I became certain that at least you wouldn’t betray Gold Coin.”

"Cough cough."

"And also, you are not allowed to peek at the contents of the letter." Juliet lifted her skirt and left.

……

Delivering a love letter earns three gold coins; I'd love more of these kinds of jobs. Elena's eyes gleamed as she looked at the letter in her hand; to her at that moment, the letter was nothing more than unearned gold coins.

Sure enough, princesses are all very wealthy.

"Don't drool on me," Qin complained, feeling that she was becoming more and more unrestrained in front of her. Was she like this before?

Or is this her true self, and everything before was just an act?

"Ahem." Elena put the letter away. At this moment, they were already standing in front of the gates of the Cat Kingdom.

"May I ask which barbarian country you two are from?" the guard asked.

"May I ask what the Barbarian Kingdom is?" Elena asked.

"Those barbarians who worship the dog god dare to discriminate against the greatness of the cat god! The cat god will surely curse them!" the guard said indignantly. "Do you two believe in the cat god religion?"

Doesn't this sentence sound similar to another sentence?

A less-than-pleasant memory instantly flooded my mind.

You're not going to promote the benefits of the Cat God Cult, are you?

"Is it mandatory to practice cat worship to enter the country?"

"Ah, there is no such rule."

"Oh, Qin, let's go."

"Hey hey——"

Elena quickly left, playing her violin. She didn't want to hear about the benefits of the Cat God Cult again; she was traumatized by the last time she heard about the benefits of the Dog God Cult.

Today's task is to find Romeo and deliver this love letter to him.

I love doing things like helping others, and I even get some reward for it, hehe.

As expected, the streets of this kingdom are filled with cats.

Just like over there, in that dog country, there are dogs everywhere.

This is basically just replacing the kingdom's mascot with a cat.

Elena had only ever seen pictures of cats growing up; it seemed like very few people in Roberta's neighborhood kept cats.

Irene had never seen so many live cats before.

All the cats, whether black, white, or tabby, circled around Elena, meowing incessantly as if seeking food.

These cats seem to be ultimate looks-obsessed individuals.

There aren't many cats around the piano—that's quite a double standard.

When Elena saw so many adorable cats surrounding her, she was so moved that she cried.

No... why am I crying? It's true I've never seen a cat before, but there's no reason to get this emotional.

"I didn't expect you to like cats so much." Qin noticed that Elena's eyes were red, and soon, crystal tears began to flow uncontrollably.

Look how happy this child is.

"No...I...Waaah..." No matter how much Elena wiped her eyes, tears kept streaming down her face.

Why do tears keep flowing even though I don't feel any pain in my chest?

"By the Cat God, how could you let such a lovely girl be sad?" An old woman happened to pass by and saw Elena with tears streaming down her face. She was furious and instinctively thought that Qin had bullied her.

"I didn't do anything," Qin said, spreading her hands to show her innocence.

And where did you see her being sad?

If you can't use your eyes anymore, you can donate them.

Make another movie called "The Legend of the Blind: Searching for the Eyeballs".

"Then why did she cry? You couldn't even protect such a lovely girl. Where is your sense of duty as a man?"

You're asking me? Who should I ask? Besides, this is a witch, she needs my protection? Are you kidding me?

"Qin, take me away from here, something's wrong here. Cough cough..." Elena cried.

She could no longer open her eyes.

So you weren't crying tears of joy.

Elena leaped away on Qin's back, leaving behind only a chattering old woman who continued her incessant chatter.

It wasn't until they reached a secluded corner that Elena's condition improved; her tears finally stopped flowing so intensely, allowing her to barely open her eyes.

"Phew—I'm finally alive," Elena sobbed.

"What's wrong?" Qin asked.

"I don't know—Achoo—" Elena couldn't help but sneeze. "My eyes and nose just feel really uncomfortable since I got here."

Have you ever been in contact with cats before?

"No, why do you ask?"

“I think you might be allergic to cat fur, and a very serious one,” Qin said.

After much thought, this seemed to be the only possibility, and Elena quickly accepted the situation. Even though there were no cats around her now, there were still a few cat hairs floating in the air, which was enough to make her uncomfortable for a while.

"Qin, then I'll have to ask you to write this letter. I'll give you half of the reward in gold coins."

"Why can you get half of it without doing anything?"

"You're such a cheapskate," Elena muttered, puffing out her cheeks. "I did participate, too."

Qin took the letter and stopped worrying about it: "Go abroad, and we'll meet at the same hotel later."

"Take care of yourself—and rent a hotel tonight, don't make me sleep on the street."

"Tsk."

"What does 'tsk' mean? Want to fight?"

She seemed to have become more talkative; she didn't know when she had become like this. Qin said nothing more and disappeared from Elena's sight.

Seeing that Qin had already gone far away, Elena summoned a broom, intending to leave the country quickly.

"Achoo—" She rubbed her nose, fighting back tears as she finally rushed out of the city gate.

"Hey—you still haven't answered me about your faith in the Cat God Cult?" the guard said, seeing Elena rushing out.

"What do you think?" Elena asked with a smile through her tears.

"So the young lady was moved to tears. Cat God above, you have gained another devout believer."
