Magical Journey: The Other Shore Blooms on the Other Shore

Time spent in Royal Celestia is always limited; as a traveler, embarking on a journey is inevitable; becoming attached to one place will diminish the meaning of travel.

Tomorrow morning, Elena will be ready to embark on her journey again.

So tonight is the last night to chat with Professor Fran. Elena wanted to persuade Fran to travel with her, but Fran used her teaching job as an excuse to back down and promised that she might take some time to travel if the academy had a holiday.

“Elena, I feel like you’ve changed,” Fran said.

Elena was enjoying a cup of instant coffee she had brewed herself when she didn't immediately hear what her teacher had said: "What?"

“I thought you would embark on this journey alone,” Fran said. “Do you have any particular reason?”

She didn't quite understand why Elena made that choice.

"Is it a valid reason that it's easier to make money with him?" Elena asked.

"What else would Elena say?"

"He will pay my entry fee."

"and then?"

"Isn't it enough?"

“That’s why I said you’ve changed.” Fran smiled and patted Elena’s head. “Alright—let’s not talk about this anymore. Before you leave, is there anything your teacher would like to give you?”

"I'm not a child anymore." Although she said that, Elena did not resist Fran's head pat.

"Are you sure you don't want to stay a few more days? My students all like you very much."

"Teacher, you can tell me frankly if you're reluctant to let me go. I won't laugh at you."

"Hehe, your mouth is as sharp as ever."

Early the next morning, Elena arrived at the gates of Royal Celestia.

"Let's go." Elena took out a broom. "Sit on the broom with your eyes closed, be careful not to fall."

Qin remained silent, pretending not to hear.

As magic flowed in, the broom slowly took flight, and Elena subconsciously glanced back at the kingdom behind her. Her time in the royal kingdom of Serestria had been quite pleasant, and the atmosphere among the people was very good.

Perhaps I will come back in the future.

As Elena turned back for one last look, she saw Fran standing at the city gate, waving to her incessantly.

Just as she was thinking this, Elena noticed that flower petals were flying all around her, and she subconsciously looked up at the sky.

High in the sky, some magicians rode on broomsticks, each carrying a flower basket; the flower petals were what they scattered.

"Irena—I have nothing to give you, so I'll just offer you my blessings. Have a safe journey." Fran's kind voice rang in her ears.

Although they were already some distance apart, telepathy was not considered a high-level magic for Fran.

"Goodbye, Elena." Fran's smile can still be faintly seen here.

In a side hall of the Beatrice Palace, a white-haired little girl dressed in a silver-white uniform sat on a high chair, swinging her little feet. Her pale blue eyes were fixed on the chess pieces on the table. After thinking for a while, she placed the white queen diagonally in front of her.

Although there was another person standing in the room, the little girl was actually playing chess against herself. The other person was just patiently waiting for her to finish the game.

In Beatrice, no one would look down on this girl who seemed to have never grown up, not even the Queen.

Seeing that Slater didn't react, Angela continued playing against herself and her own chessboard.

After an unknown amount of time, Slater slowly spoke, "[Frostfang] is back."

"Oh." Angela was unmoved by the news and continued her game.

Slater was supposed to be reporting on this matter, but he asked about the experiment's progress first. His style of not saying what he should say is quite unique.

Slater then fell silent. Faced with this witch whose personality was completely unpredictable, he felt only trouble. He would not be deceived by the little girl's appearance; her actual age was probably no younger than his, and she was exceptionally ruthless.

“We still need to meet him.” Angela pushed the chess piece over and gracefully prepared to get off the high chair.

Slater stretched out a hand, and Angela didn't stand on ceremony, placing her hand next to his to smoothly descend from the high place to the low place.

“How gentlemanly you are, Professor Slater.” Angela then held her gray-black cane and placed the doll she had been holding aside with her other hand.

“Of course,” Slater said.

"I'm really worried that I'll fall for you. Do you actually want to make me one of your collections?" Angela smiled mischievously, smoothing her white hair as she looked up at Slater.

"I wouldn't dare."

"Don't be afraid~ We're allies now, so maybe we can succeed with a little effort? Turning a B-rank Snow Guard into a collectible would be quite an accomplishment, wouldn't it?" Angela persisted, her mockery evident on her face.

Tsk, what a complete witch...

The two then proceeded to the Chaohui Hall, one after the other.

After the two left, the main gate of the side hall was closed.

Scattered around the room were chess pieces and dolls of all sizes, seemingly waiting for their owner to start another game.
