This is Fungus. You probably didn't expect that a novel that used to update once a week would end with ten chapters in a row, and I didn't expect it either. Honestly, if the updates were normal, this novel should have been finished long ago, but the author is seriously lazy. Even though there's time to write, the author just doesn't want to. The author's attention is always drawn to other things, and gradually writing the novel has become a chore rather than a hobby.

To be honest, the author's passion waned considerably in the later stages of the novel, and he became increasingly distracted and indecisive. The only motivation that kept him writing was simply his love for the work; he wrote because he enjoyed it, and if he ever lost that passion, he felt he couldn't continue.

But the author promised everyone that he would finish it properly, so he gritted his teeth and persevered and finished writing it. Even if he treated his passion as a task, he still wanted to finish it properly. Because the author is not only an amateur writer, but also a reader. Just look at my Tomato Reading time. I am not a very senior Tomato Bookworm, but it is still quite long (after all, the author reads novels on Biquge more often).

Therefore, I dislike unfinished or abandoned novels, and I know that others do as well. That's why the author perseveres and finishes each novel.

Honestly, I never expected so many people to read this novel. With a 9.5 rating, it's hard to believe I wrote such a high-scoring work. From not even earning enough for breakfast to now being able to write a readable novel, it's impossible not to feel proud.

Will you continue writing?

Probably. After all, writing is a passion, and although passion can be distracted by many other inexplicable things along the way, an author will still persevere. To date, I have accumulated one million words on Tomato, although both of my novels are only 500,000 words each, which is not much, but these are all the footprints and medals of an author step by step.

As for what I'll write about in my next book?

I haven't decided yet. After all, authors have diverse backgrounds and want to write about everything—sometimes authors wonder whether to write original content instead of fanfiction, but when it comes to actually putting pen to paper, original content is far more difficult than I imagined. It's hard to grasp the story's plot and structure; sometimes I just jump to whatever comes to mind, skipping large sections of other storylines because I wanted to write certain plot points. So, my next book will probably still be fanfiction, as the existing world-building framework will save me a lot of trouble.

Looking at my drafts now, BA (Azure Archives) is the most likely possibility. I currently have a 100,000-word initial draft, which is a student novel. As for other fanfiction, that's also possible. Sometimes I even think about writing The Garden of Yog-Sothoth (if you've played the game, you'll know that the novel's protagonist, Mo, is based on the little Grim Reaper Tripolis), but the Garden's plot is really hard to expand and write, so I'll take another look.

Finally, this novel about Elena will not be completely finished for the time being, as there may be some side stories or something, and the update frequency will be irregular.
