Magical Journey: The Other Shore Blooms on the Other Shore

Chapter 14 Happiness in a Bottle (Part 1)

The broom flew smoothly through the air, surrounded by a vast expanse of green. Without a doubt, directly below Elena lay an endless grassland.

The two had been away from the Flower Country for some time now.

During this period, I spent most of my time traveling between different places. Because I had enough travel money, the time that I used to spend stopping in each place to do some commissions to earn travel expenses was turned into sightseeing (spending money lavishly).

Quite by chance, Elena would sometimes strike up a conversation with Qin.

This taciturn person almost never speaks on their own initiative, but it seems that they are not mute by nature. At least when communicating, they can always talk fluently—provided that you take the initiative to start a conversation.

In addition, Elena discovered another very strange place about him.

He never bought himself anything decent, and his food was extremely simple. He couldn't even bear to spend money on a piece of bread, but he "generously" gave away gold coins to others without compensation.

When passing by a disheveled beggar, he would deliberately drop gold coins on the ground.

When buying things at shops that weren't doing well, he would deliberately leave gold coins on the counter.

Whenever she saw the gold coin pitifully drifting away, Elena felt as if the coin was crying out in pain, rebuking its owner for abandoning it.

But this isn't Elena's money, and she has no right to decide where the money goes.

But whenever she thought about it, Elena would feel a little uncomfortable, thinking, "If you think you have too much money, just give it to me... those are gold coins, enough to buy lots and lots of bread."

But it’s just a thought.

Perhaps because there are so many strange things about Qin, this incident doesn't seem so strange anymore.

Just as Elena was lost in thought, a little boy suddenly appeared directly below her, waving and seemingly calling out "Come here."

Since she had nothing else to do, Elena flew down from mid-air on her broom and landed in front of the little boy.

"Is the big sister a witch?" the little boy asked excitedly, clutching a small bottle. "This is the first time I've ever seen a witch!"

The witch is quite recognizable, after all, the star brooch represents her identity as a witch.

Of course, there are people in this world who pretend to be witches by wearing counterfeit witch brooches, but this usually doesn't make sense, since pretending to be a witch when you're not one will only cause trouble.

Moreover, every witch is registered by a special agency, and the title of witch is unique, just like an ID card, valid throughout the continent.

For example, she is the Gray Witch. There is currently no other official witch title in this world that is the Gray Witch. Only when she no longer wants to be a witch or passes away and returns the title, will this title perhaps be used by other witches.

"Yes, nice to meet you. I am Elaina, the Gray Witch." It felt good to be respected. Elaina easily straightened the brooch, exuding an aura of power.

Narcissistic? What nonsense...

I have the right to be narcissistic, okay?

"Hello, witch sister, my name is Emil," Emil said excitedly.

Elena looked curiously at the bottle in Emil's hand, which seemed to contain some kind of white gas: "What are you doing here?"

"Collecting happiness".

"Collect what?"

"So happy~"

I see, I see. They collect happiness as magic, and opening the bottle reveals a scene of happiness. Quite a clever spell.

Emil looked at Qin, who was sitting on the edge of the broom and seemed almost invisible: "Big sister, who is he?"

Just as Elena was about to introduce this taciturn man...

“I understand!” Emil suddenly smiled like an aunt.

Huh? You understood before I even said anything? Si Guoyi.

"He's your husband, isn't he!"

I take back my praise, little brat, what do you know!

Seeing that the atmosphere was a bit off, Emil immediately shut up. Even Qin was drawn to look at him by his words, but Qin's deep gaze made him feel a little creeped out.

But he clearly misunderstood something.

Qin was only looking at the bottle in his hand.

To be precise, it's the happiness that's been transformed into magic within the bottle.

"Did I say something wrong?" Emil scratched his head awkwardly. "You're not married yet... Is he your boyfriend?"

Please stop talking.

Irene didn't want to argue with him, so she forced a smile: "He's just a temporary travel companion, don't make wild guesses. By the way, are there any villages or anything like that around here?" She quickly changed the subject; if she continued on this topic, she was afraid she wouldn't be able to resist turning Emil into a mute.

That just so happens that she was looking for a place to rest tonight.

“A village? Yes, there is! My village is right there!” Emil said excitedly. “Welcome to my home, big sister! Nino’s cooking is delicious.”

Nino is...

“Oh, sister, you don’t know Nino. She’s my maid. I’m the one who collects happiness for her,” Emil said, then suddenly remembered something, “I like her very much.”

I could tell. I could tell from the moment I learned that you were obsessed with lewd things.

Irene didn't want to be so sharp-tongued with a boy younger than herself. If it were someone else, they might have been driven to despair by her eloquent tongue.

After a brief exchange, Elena flew with him to his village.

A small village that couldn't be more ordinary.

I don't know if they have any local specialties or anything.

Irene leaped off the broom, put it away, and began to look around. A large mansion came into view; clearly, that was the village chief's house, and Emil was the chief's son.

Qin followed closely behind Elena's shadow, as if he were the shadow himself.

And so they arrived at the village chief's house, which was where they planned to stay for the night. Of course, having a bed was better than sleeping on the grassland, wasn't it?

Of course, Qin would rather lie on the floor. He has been lying on the floor like this for the past few days. If there is a tree to hang from, he will choose to hang from the tree.

"Nino, we have guests!" Emil greeted a girl dressed as a maid who was working in the kitchen.

But Emil's sudden words startled Nino.

Startled, she accidentally dropped the bowl in her hand, and white shards splattered everywhere.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry..." she began to mutter to herself, picking up the broken pieces from the floor in a state of great fear.

As Qin watched Nicole trembling on the ground, picking up the scattered mess, she wondered what she was thinking.

"What are you doing! You can't even do this simple thing right!" A slightly overweight man came downstairs and cursed as he saw the broken dishes. "What a bunch of useless trash!"

"Dad, you mustn't say that about Nino. I was wrong too."

"Don't interrupt."

"sorry Sorry sorry"

The kitchen was noisy, like a symphony was playing.

Irene felt very uncomfortable. She sighed, went into the kitchen, and gently waved her wand at the scattered fragments on the floor. Instantly, the fragments slowly rose into the air and then reassembled into a bowl.

"It's all fixed now." Elena handed the repaired bowl to Nino.

"Thank you..." Nino took the bowl somewhat nervously, avoiding eye contact with anyone.

“Thank you, big sister,” Emil said. “You’ve helped Nino a lot; I’ll treat you to a nice dinner tonight.”

It was just a small favor.
