Magical Journey: The Other Shore Blooms on the Other Shore
Chapter 12 The Land of Flowers, Part 1
Two people were on a magical broom that took off from the royal city of Soria and headed into the distance.
She wore a large tricorn hat and a blue star brooch on her chest. Her entire outfit revealed her to be a witch. What was most impressive was her beautiful purple eyes and gray hair. She was the kind of person who would attract attention wherever she went.
The other one was much poorer, the kind of person an ordinary person would forget after a glance. Perhaps the only thing that could mark his identity was his old scabbard and the rusty old sword inside that looked like it was about to die.
These were the two people who had just submitted their commission to the Kingdom of Witchcraft.
After successfully obtaining clues about the source of production, the subsequent sabotage work went exceptionally smoothly without any major setbacks.
After the two divided the gold coins according to their contributions, they prepared to set off for the next country to continue their journey.
Neither Qin nor Elena placed their hopes on the Star Witch, whose return was uncertain. Ultimately, whether she could help them dispel the Yin-Yang Sphere even if she returned was another matter entirely.
After all, many spells are only cast by magicians, not countered...
Actually, Elena was extremely unwilling to have anyone else, especially such an oddball, slovenly, and sullen man who seemed like a walking medicine bottle, sitting on her broom.
But the current situation is very special. Because of the Yin-Yang Sphere, the two sides cannot separate more than ten meters.
So either give up continuing the trip, which is something Elena finds even more unacceptable.
Or they could travel on foot like Qin did before... but who knows when they would reach the next country? Besides, most people couldn't stand traveling on foot, at least Elena couldn't do it.
Between two harmful options, choose the lesser one.
After a difficult internal struggle, Elena finally gave in.
But he still insisted that Qin take a bath for three hours before allowing him to sit on the broom.
Qin, on the other hand, seemed completely indifferent; in truth, his expression didn't change at all.
He didn't want to cause any trouble with the witch in front of him. He would just continue to be invisible, quietly passing his time—as for where to go? It didn't matter where he went.
And so, the two of them rode together on a broom, flying rapidly through the sky.
The driver was, of course, Irena. She skillfully maneuvered the broomstick, and carrying an extra person did not affect her performance, but the flight speed inevitably decreased due to the load.
The two of them didn't say a word to each other in a strange way, having gotten used to treating each other as if they were invisible, at least on the surface.
Even if they had just worked together on a project.
Qin sat on the broom with her eyes closed, seemingly unaffected by the broom's jolting. Her incredible sense of balance made it appear as if it wasn't her first time riding a magical broom—well, wouldn't someone sleeping hanging from a tree lack balance?
Elena sat sideways on the broom, and to be honest, she was quite curious about the strange guy sitting next to her.
Many questions lingered in her mind, unanswered.
For example, how he broke his silence spell.
Moreover... what exactly were the methods he used against that Mrs. Saber?
But she still didn't ask.
She probably felt that even if she asked, she wouldn't get the answer she wanted. This world is vast and full of wonders; such methods aren't exactly outrageous or worthy of public fuss.
Everyone has their own secrets.
The two rode brooms through the forest.
Those dense vines are a nightmare for novice magicians, and it's not easy to ride a broom through them, but for Elena, moving through them is as natural as eating and drinking.
The only thing to be careful about is that your hat doesn't get snagged on a branch.
Once you pass through this dense forest, the view suddenly opens up. What comes into view is a sea of flowers, with red, yellow, blue and all kinds of colors spreading out like paint on the canvas of the plain.
Just looking at this sea of flowers is enough to relax your mind and refresh your spirit.
Elena brushed a strand of hair from her face and happily savored the refreshing floral fragrance.
At that very moment, Qin, who had been resting with his eyes closed, slowly opened them and stared intently at the sea of flowers below, seemingly lost in thought.
The broom flew low over the sea of flowers. After a few minutes, a lovely girl dressed in exquisite clothes slowly appeared in sight.
She picked the flowers with both hands, and every now and then she would bring them to her nose and smell them carefully.
Seeing Elena flying over on a broom, he instinctively waved to her.
Seeing this, Elena stopped sweeping.
"Are you a witch?" she asked with a smile.
“As you can see, yes. My name is Elena, and I’m traveling right now,” Elena said.
"Perfect timing—is that your boyfriend next to you?" the girl in the flower bushes continued to ask. "You two seem to be on a wonderful relationship, traveling together."
Elena was speechless, but she managed to hold back her emotions: "He's not. By the way, are you here admiring the flowers?"
"Mmm, aren't the flowers beautiful?"
As the two were talking, Qin kept his eyes fixed on the girl in the flower bushes. This was certainly not because his identity had been misunderstood. Perhaps Elena would care, but this heartless guy would just let it go in one ear and out the other.
He had his own reasons for gazing intently at the girl among the flowers.
"Um, Miss Elena, could you do me a favor?" the girl in the flower bushes said, her eyes filled with hope as she looked at Elena.
"You said."
"Could you please take these flowers to people in neighboring countries? I hope more people can appreciate such beautiful flowers."
“Hmm…okay…” Elena was about to take the flowers from the girl’s hand. Anyway, she was going to travel to a nearby kingdom, so it wouldn’t be a trouble to help along the way. However, she subconsciously overlooked a fact—why didn’t the girl in front of her deliver them herself?
Just as Elena was about to hug the flower, she was struck down by Qin's sword.
The flowers scattered everywhere like kites with broken strings.
The speed was so fast that even Elena couldn't react in time.
"Can you...jump a little?" Qin coldly looked at the girl in the flower bushes and asked a question that left Elena somewhat puzzled.
Upon hearing this, a shadow fell over the girl's face in the flower bushes.
"Take off immediately!" Qin shouted.
Although Elena didn't understand what was happening, she immediately carried it out instinctively. After all, the atmosphere was truly strange, triggering a certain intuition in her.
The magic broom, infused with magic, immediately ascended to the heavens.
But it seemed they were still a step too late; countless vines stretched out from the flowers and attacked the two who were flying high into the sky.
After all, the speed hasn't picked up yet, and no matter how much acceleration there is, it can't create distance between itself and the vines.
Just as the vines were about to strike the two of them, Elena immediately took out her wand and aimed it at the branches, preparing to cast a fire spell.
But Qin was faster. Standing on the broom, she leaped high into the air, stepping on the broom handle, and hurled the broken sword in her hand at the girl in the flower bushes with incredible speed.
With a scream, the attack of the vines faltered.
At that moment, a large ball of flame flew out from Elena's wand, quickly incinerating the vines that were attacking them.
After completing this series of operations, Qin landed steadily on the edge of the broom, silently looking at the girl below who had been hit by her sword and the vines around her that were emitting thick black smoke.
After a brief flight of a few seconds, the broom had already soared into the sky and reached a safe distance, so even if the vines below regenerated, they would no longer pose any threat.
As the danger receded, Elena took a deep breath, feeling a sense of relief.
This sea of flowers is actually some kind of mutated monster.
She began to scrutinize the terrifying man beside her once again.
Such terrifying perception... and...
What terrifying balance!
I rarely understand someone so badly.
