The night before the engagement ceremony, Zhou Yu wandered into the venue alone.

Zhou Yu's tone was somewhat impatient. Even though he knew that resistance was futile, he just didn't want to easily give in to this woman.

Xu Xinran didn't seem to care, her smile still on her lips, as if she had already seen through his thoughts.

She got out of the car on her own, deftly took Zhou Yu's arm, and led him to the dressing room despite his resistance.

"Get my husband dressed in a suit, and be quick."

Xu Xinran gave instructions to the people inside, her tone tinged with coldness. Turning to face Zhou Yu, she quickly adopted a different demeanor, her smile warm as a spring breeze, softly urging him on:

"Don't keep me waiting too long."

The formal attire had been prepared long ago, and as soon as Xu Xinran left, someone came forward to help Zhou Yu change.

The suit was tailor-made, fitting his figure perfectly. Both the color and the cut were impeccable, adding to his dashing appearance.

Standing before Xu Xinran once more, she scrutinized Zhou Yu with satisfaction, her eyes gleaming with approval.

Zhou Yu knew that she was determined to get this engagement, and that he was just a pawn in her game with nowhere to escape.

Even so, he could not stand idly by and ignore the safety of the innocent Jiang Wanwan.

Xu Xinran smiled gently, a smile that contained both her helplessness at Zhou Yu's obsession with Jiang Wanwan and her confidence in her own plan.

"Zhou Yu, even now, you're still concerned about other women?!"

She shook her head slightly, a hint of self-mockery flashing in her eyes.

His concern for Jiang Wanwan did indeed drive her insanely jealous, but she wasn't crazy enough to actually disfigure another woman. Everything that happened yesterday was just an act for this man to see, all she wanted was for him to come back to her side.

But in his heart, he was convinced that she would do it. This man really doesn't understand himself at all.

But she disdained to explain. Thinking of this, Xu Xinran raised her eyebrows slightly, a resolute glint flashing in her eyes.

"Zhou Yu, as long as you behave yourself, I will release her after the engagement ceremony. As for whether her face can be restored to its original state, that depends on my mood."
