Chapter 44 Vacation 1
The sports meet was held after National Day. Bian Xiao originally planned to go out with her friends during the seven-day National Day holiday, but Sadwell and Bian He both wanted her to go back to M country.
After thinking it over, I decided to stay with my brothers, so I had to say goodbye to my friends.
This vacation took place on a small archipelago in the Leaning Sea. The main island is heart-shaped, hence its nickname, Love Island. When Bian Xiao was 10 years old, Sadwell gave her this island.
An Italian palace-style hotel was built on the main island, with a minimum price of $100,000 per night, which basically deterred 99% of guests worldwide.
To get to the island, you need to take a helicopter. After landing, you first enter the Martia Hotel, where the hotel shares were directly given to Bian Xiao by Sadwell.
Bian He didn't have a National Day holiday, but the kid hadn't gone to school. When he learned that his sister was going to Love Island, he packed up and went there first.
Bian Xiao flew from China to an airport in a coastal city in Italy, and then took a helicopter to the island.
At the beginning of October, there were only nine guests staying at the hotel, and with Bian Xiao and his two companions, there were only 13 people in total.
They were a family of five: a Chinese person, a couple from country Y, and a mother and child.
"Your luggage will be brought up shortly. There's a cocktail party at nine o'clock tonight," the receptionist said to Bian Xiao with a smile.
“della”
Bian Xiao turned around, "Brother!" and ran over to throw himself into his brother's arms.
Because he was on vacation, Sadwell simply wore a beige silk shirt with the top two buttons undone, adding a touch of carefree abandon. He rolled up his sleeves and opened his arms to welcome his sister.
My brother's embrace was broad and strong, with a faint fragrance, just like my brother's steady and reliable nature.
"Let's go upstairs and rest, baby." He patted Della's hair, took her hand, and led her upstairs. "You need to put your luggage in your room, come here first."
"Where's Phil?" The stairs were carpeted, mainly reddish-brown with beautiful patterns. She carefully lifted her skirt and walked up.
"He went out boating, how about I take you tomorrow?" He held his sister's hand with one hand and supported her waist with the other.
"Okay! But brother, your clothes are too formal, they don't look like you're on vacation at all." She stepped over the last two steps, but she was still a little shorter than Sadwell and had to look up at her brother.
"Be careful!" Sadwell glared at Bian Xiao, then shook her head as she watched her sister wave dismissively and run down the corridor. She could only follow behind.
"Brother, where is your room?"
"The one on your left"
"I can't open it, brother, hurry up!" Bian Xiao couldn't open the door.
Upon entering, there was a white curtain that had been opened and was fluttering gently in the breeze.
The room has a retro style, with green cushions on the sofa and mostly ceramic vases on the floor. Tuscan columns and arched doorways separate the bedroom and living room, and tapestries and oil paintings hang on the walls.
Bian Xiao plopped down on the sofa, hugging a cushion, and after Sadwell sat down next to him, he immediately snuggled into his brother's arms.
"Brother, they just said there's a cocktail party tonight, can I drink?" It's bad for children to drink alcohol, and Bian Xiao's drinking is always controlled by his family. But he's almost an adult, so of course he wants to live like an adult too.
“Okay, but only three drinks.” Sadwell always granted his sister’s requests without any limits.
"Okay!"
"Do you want to rest for a while?" Looking down, I saw Della listlessly playing with her buttons. I couldn't help but smile and coax my sister to take a nap, since we had just gotten off the plane.
"I think I'm a little sleepy," she said, yawning while hugging her pillow.
Sadwell put his arm around Bian Xiao's waist, wrapped his other arm around his knees, stood up, and carried Bian Xiao towards the bedroom.
Before Bian Xiao could even react, his older brother had already firmly embraced him.
He knelt on one knee beside the bed, placed his younger sister in the center of the bed, and covered her with the blanket. "Sweetie, you go to sleep first, I'll wake you up later."
The blanket was thin and draped over his chest. Bian Xiao was too sleepy to talk, so he nodded, closed his eyes, and fell asleep.
Watching Della close her jade-like eyes, Sadwell gently kissed his sister's forehead and walked towards the terrace.
The terrace connects to the bedroom, and the white gauze curtains are gently lifted by the breeze. Sadwell reclines in a chair, working on a video conference; for him, there is no time to rest. His so-called vacation is nothing more than squeezing in time to spend with his sister.
With his headphones on, Sadwell softened his voice, which was surprisingly gentle, making his subordinates think that the big boss had suffered some kind of shock, and they became even more cautious.
I checked the time, ended the video conference, and assigned some tasks. In the distance, a yacht was speeding back to the hotel; it must be Bian He.
It's time to wake Della up.
"Baby? Della?" she whispered in her sister's ear.
"Ugh~" I'm so sleepy, I don't want to get up.
"Wake up, you lazy pig!" Della was pulled out of bed.
"What's wrong, brother? I'm so sleepy." He rubbed his eyes and woke up groggily.
"Your room is ready. Go change your clothes; there's a cocktail party later." Helping her sister put on slippers, she led her by the hand to the room across the hall. "Tina, you go take care of Della."
"Good sir" is generally used to address Master Sadwell, and "Mr" is used to address Norrecis. These are maids like Tina who come from the Rose Manor and whose ancestors have worked in the manor for generations.
At that time, there were frequent wars around the world, and nowhere was safe. People in many countries even went hungry.
Working for the Les Monia family, living on the estate, far from the war, with no worries about food or drink, and simply taking care of the family masters, is truly an enviable job.
As Les Monlia becomes increasingly powerful, everyone understands the principle of "it's good to have a powerful backer."
Ordinary people with no grand ambitions can find everything they need at Les Monia. Working there and being trusted makes it easier for them to build a career than for those outside. Many choose to stay.
After graduating from university, Fara's son and daughter went directly to work for a company on Wall Street, and the other was sent to China.
A personal maid like Tina earns a pretty good salary. It's certainly tiring, though. Tina not only provides personal care, but also handles all of Bian Xiao's paperwork, manages his assets, and oversees his daily routines.
But the money is plentiful! Sometimes, if you do well, Sadwell gives you a bonus, Bian Yin gives you a red envelope, and Norreci also gives you a bonus. It's just too good to be true.
After taking his sister to her room, Sadwell went downstairs to find Bian He.
"What should I wear, Tina?"
There were a huge pile of dresses in the room, and Bian Xiao once again suffered from decision paralysis.
"How about this one?" Tina chose a style that Bian Xiao would usually like: a white tulle skirt, cute and elegant.
"It looks too childish," Bian Xiao thought. She felt she was sick of wearing this type of dress and wanted to wear a slightly more mature formal dress.
"No more tutu skirts, Tina!" It's a vacation, a cocktail party, so we need something different, right?
"This one is nice!" Bian Xiao picked out a pink dress.
The white, blue, and pink diamond and gemstone halter top features a slightly V-neck designed in the shape of a seashell.
The overall design isn't overly restrictive, highlighting feminine curves while allowing for freedom of movement and ensuring comfort. The satin material and pleated design make Bian Xiao look like a little mermaid just emerging from the sea.
"Wow!" The most unique thing about this dress is that it's a backless dress with a diamond chain hanging down the back, making it look mature and beautiful.
"Della, this dress suits you perfectly, it's so beautiful." Always wearing princess dresses, she suddenly changed into a slightly more mature evening gown, and she looked absolutely stunning.
“You need to get your hair done, Della. I’ll have the stylist come in and we can pick out some accessories while we work on it.”
Bian Xiao nodded and sat down in the chair.
The hairstylist was doing hair in the back, while the nail technician was doing nail care on a small stool next to them. Tina used an iPad to let Bian Xiao choose first, and then had someone bring the selected item up.
"This set is perfect." A delicate pink diamond necklace with two layers, paired with star-shaped diamond stud earrings.
"Okay, miss."
