On a dark and windy night, towering buildings and flashing neon lights combine to create a dazzling and intoxicating atmosphere in Shinjuku. Bars, clubs, and hotels with pink signs are squeezed into the gaps between the skyscrapers. Deep within one of the alleys, there lies a bar that looks unremarkable from the outside.

The bar had no sign, only a rickety neon tube flickering weakly red by the door. Pushing open the door, deep jazz music echoed in the cramped space, occasionally punctuated by inappropriate laughter and hushed whispers. This was one of the organization's strongholds, where many mission handovers took place.

Morofushi Kagemitsu sat in a corner of the bar, a black bass bag beside him, and a glass of untouched whiskey in his hand. His eyes occasionally swept across every corner of the bar, secretly observing the customers coming and going.

Most of the people here are low-level members of the organization, and the conversations are unlikely to involve high-level secrets of the organization. However, Morofushi Kagemitsu still habitually comes here for a drink and to hear about the organization's latest developments.

With a creak, the bar door opened again. Morofushi Hiromitsu's gaze followed the sound to the door. Suddenly, his pupils contracted; entering were Gin and Vodka, codenamed members of the organization, both looking travel-worn, as if they had just returned from a mission.

Seeing this, the bartender quickly put on a smile and went up to greet Gin. After exchanging a few words, Gin headed towards a private room deeper inside the bar.

"Who am I going to see...?" Morofushi Kagemitsu wondered to himself. He naturally looked away from Gin and continued to drink alone in the shadows.

Not long after, the bar door opened again, and this time a young man who looked like a college student entered. His slightly long black hair was piled up behind his head, and he wore a friendly, innocent smile. He even carried a black backpack. As he pushed the door open, he muttered softly, "Sorry to bother you..."

Everyone in the bar turned to look at him—in fact, they had all seen Gin earlier, but they had all silently looked away, not daring to glance at him a second time—the young man now looked like a small herbivore that had strayed into a tiger's den, as if he could be torn to pieces by these guys at any moment.

Morofushi Kagemitsu frowned. It seemed the young man was an innocent bystander who had wandered into the hideout. He was about to approach and throw the youth out when he saw the boy looking around, seemingly searching for someone. Apparently, he couldn't find them, so he leaned closer to the bartender and whispered something. The bartender scrutinized him for a moment and then gave him directions. Morofushi Kagemitsu then saw the young man cheerfully enter Gin's private room.

Morofushi Kagemitsu was anxious, but his face remained calm. He took a sip of whiskey, and when he put it down, he had calmed down. That young man was probably not simple... If he were the mission target, Gin wouldn't have needed to call him here. Yes, at this age, he was already trying to disguise himself and infiltrate the organization. He couldn't be fooled by appearances; he had to observe and wait.

Even so, Morofushi Hiromitsu still glanced at the direction of the private room from time to time. It wasn't until the people in the bar had changed that the door was suddenly pushed open, and Gin, with a gloomy face, and Vodka, who was following behind him, walked out.

It's over? I didn't hear any gunshots, so the young man should be alright... Morofushi Kagemitsu breathed a sigh of relief, feeling that it was time for him to leave.

However, after waiting for a while, the young man didn't reappear. Instead, a middle-aged man, clearly drunk, emerged from the private room. The moment the door opened, Morofushi Kagemitsu confirmed the room was empty. The man walked unsteadily to the bar, asked the bartender a question, and then his face darkened with anger, his teeth clenched. Finally, he pulled out his wallet, paid the bill, and staggered out the door.

Morofushi Kagemitsu rose and walked discreetly into the shadows of the bar, approaching the door of the private room. After glancing around to make sure no one was looking in his direction, he pushed open the door and tried to slip inside.

However, someone suddenly tapped him on the shoulder from behind. His body tensed up instantly, and he instinctively wanted to throw the person behind him, but he suppressed his instincts and turned around to look.

The fierce-looking burly man had returned at some point and was now staring at him maliciously from behind.

The burly man said with a forced smile, "Excuse me, I left something inside."

Just as he was about to draw his gun, Morofushi Kagemitsu stopped what he was doing. The burly man impatiently pushed him aside and went inside. After taking a couple of steps, he suddenly seemed to remember something and turned back to Morofushi Kagemitsu, saying, "The toilet is over there."

"Huh? Oh... okay."

Following the steps down, Morofushi Kagemitsu entered the bathroom, missing the scene of the man walking out of the room with an unfinished bottle of whiskey.

……

"Gin is really stingy, I'm not kidding." Akihara muttered angrily as he walked down the street. "I really didn't expect this. What kind of leader leaves halfway through a first meeting with an employee, leaving the employee to pay? What about the organization's funds? Why are they exploiting someone like me who can't even afford rent!"

He had just asked the bartender, Gin, if he had already paid, and received a negative answer. He was now truly penniless. Fortunately, his points had increased slightly because he had scared Morofushi Kagemitsu earlier; otherwise, both his points and money would have been wiped out.

"Host...are you drunk?" The system watched him stagger down the street with trepidation, afraid that he might accidentally fall into the green belt.

"How could that be? I've only had less than three small cups..." He gave a friendly smile to a little girl passing by, which startled her so much that she screamed and hid behind her mother. The girl's mother glared at Qiu Yuan, but seeing that he practically had "don't mess with me" written all over his face, she quickly pulled her daughter away.

The system sighed. It turned out that the host was a guy whose alcohol tolerance was practically zero and whose drinking manners were mediocre.

"Listen to me, I'll give you directions. Don't do anything unnecessary on the way!" Seeing that Akihara Kazumitsu tried to help the old lady cross the road, scaring the old lady into running away, the system finally couldn't stand it anymore. If it was left unchecked, the host would probably be called in and arrested soon.

"Alright, alright." Akihara clicked his tongue regretfully and began to follow the system's navigation to the station.

Then—bang! A little girl with chestnut hair and a headband bumped into his leg and fell to the side.

"It hurts..." The little girl rubbed her forehead, tears welling up in her eyes. Qiu Yuanjiu was half-awake from the shock and quickly went over to check on her.

Akihara: No, I didn't! I was really walking properly!

The little girl suddenly seemed to remember something and abruptly raised her head. "Save me, save me..." However, when she saw Qiuyuan's face clearly, she swallowed the rest of her words back down.

She stood up shakily, looking at Qiuyuan with fear. "Uncle... I'm sorry! I was walking carelessly!" Then she turned and ran away.

Akihara:……

The girl stopped after running only two steps. Two adults carrying steel pipes walked slowly from the direction she had come from.

The girl was caught in a dilemma. In despair, she closed her eyes and screamed at the top of her lungs, "Anyone, please come and save us!"
