Transmigrated into Conan, his ability is Rhodes Island
Chapter 1 From This Land to That Land
I am Dr. Rhodes Island ▇▇▇▇. While surfing the Rhodes Island intranet on PRTS, I did not notice Kal'tsit approaching. My last memory is of Mon3tr waving its front paws at me.
When I woke up—I found my body had shrunk. Oops, I picked up the wrong script. I found myself in an unfamiliar alley. A bright moon hung high in the sky, and the alley was brightly lit and bustling with traffic. There were no familiar Terra Twin Moons or technological artifacts. All of this pointed to one possibility: I had traveled through time.
To put it simply, the Doctor comes from a game called Arknights, where he fights against natural disasters, diseases, and discrimination as the leader of a pharmaceutical company called Rhodes Island.
To add something less known, the Doctor broke the fourth wall (Note 1) due to certain circumstances and learned that he was a virtual character in the game world. The suffering of Terra was nothing more than a plot that could be skipped in the eyes of beings of higher dimensions. He was once confused for a period of time and always treated people with a bit of nonchalance.
While breaking down the wall, the doctor also came into contact with the technology and entertainment products of higher-dimensional beings.
so--
The streets were bathed in soft yellow light at night, and the buildings on both sides were dappled with the shadows of the trees. It was late at night, and occasionally one or two cars sped by; pedestrians hurried along, some dressed in suits and looking tired, others young people who seemed to have just come from a bar, laughing and joking... their sickle-like noses and sharply defined jawlines were striking.
Ah, so I guess I've traveled into the world of "Detective Conan".
The doctor accepted it well; after all, he could even accept that he was a virtual character. It was just a time travel, after all. Not many of the operators on his island had traveled through time, but there were definitely not few either, such as "Rainbow ***", "Luo ****", "Strange ***", and so on.
His main concern is copyright issues. As far as he knows, the company that created him would never collaborate with Shogakukan. His current actions seem more like unauthorized intrusion.
But these things should be the concern of higher-dimensional beings. What does it have to do with this poor, innocent, and weak virtual character? Perhaps this is just some poorly written fan fiction by some minor author.
The professor glanced down at his attire. He was wearing a white lab coat, which was clearly not in accordance with laboratory regulations for appearing on the street. A name tag was pinned to his left chest; he took it off and, under the dim light, saw that it read "Akihara Kazumitsu," with the gilded logo and name of Nanyang University in the upper left corner.
The doctor felt his pocket again; inside was a cell phone, resembling a wireless landline, or in simpler terms, a PHS phone. The phone had a black plastic casing, a screen about three inches in size, and slightly worn buttons.
He turned on the screen, and a password input interface appeared. A four-digit password, the professor thought helplessly. This Mr. Akihara Kazumitsu had left him with no memories; his mind was completely blank. If he hadn't come into contact with the technological products of higher-dimensional beings, he might not even know how to use this thing. PRTS's wireless terminal was far more technologically advanced than his.
Although he couldn't unlock the phone immediately, he could at least use it to determine the current timeline. As far as he knew, the communication devices in Detective Conan had changed multiple times in the "short" thousand or so chapters. Initially, there were early mobile phones, then these old-fashioned pagers, followed by flip phones and smartphones. While future remakes might make determining the timeline through the phone less accurate, he could still generally deduce that this was the early part of the manga.
The professor sighed, resignedly walking aimlessly down the street while continuing to fiddle with the locked phone.
The numerous scratches on the charging port of the PHS phone suggest that the owner frequently charges the phone in the dark, has a bad temper, lacks patience, is easily agitated, and may even be an alcoholic.
Kazumitsu Akihara, your name sounds so gentle, but is that really what you're like?
Upon closer inspection, the back cover and screen of the PHS phone showed slight scratches of varying depths, indicating that the owner did not take good care of the phone and had repeatedly rubbed it together with his keys.
Finally, my gaze fell upon the keypad of the PHS phone, where several numbers showed particularly severe wear. The most worn numbers were 1, 2, 9, and 0. What did these represent? A birthday?
As the professor pondered, he began to exhaustively try to input passwords, such as combinations of birthdays like 1209, 0912, and 1029, but none of them were the correct password.
What other possibilities are there...? The doctor fell into deep thought, but his hands didn't stop. He continued to exhaustively search for passwords that weren't birthday combinations. Fortunately, the old-fashioned mobile phone didn't have a limit on the number of password attempts.
Suddenly, a thought flashed through the doctor's mind, his eyes narrowed, and he considered another possibility.
However, at that moment a call suddenly came in, the phone started vibrating, there was no ringtone, and it was from an unknown number.
"Hello, this is Akihara." Recalling the etiquette tips about the East that the operatives from the East had taught her, she introduced herself after answering the phone.
The other party was clearly taken aback for a moment. The doctor frowned, wondering if there was something wrong with his response.
"Ahem, hello Mr. Akihara, this is Kohei Ando. Did you find my phone?" the other person replied awkwardly with polite language.
I see. No wonder the profile of the phone's owner doesn't match the image of Akihara Kazumitsu as a researcher.
The doctor sighed, realizing that the only clue about his identity had gone cold again.
"Yes, Mr. Ando."
The person on the other end of the phone let out an exaggerated sigh of relief, but their tone wasn't entirely relaxed. "Thank you, Mr. Akihara. Where are you now? Is it convenient for me to come and get my phone?"
Good question. I'd also like to know where I am right now.
The doctor looked around and saw only identical buildings, with no landmarks.
"Excuse me, please wait a moment."
He then stopped a passerby, asked for his current location, and thanked the passerby repeatedly under his somewhat strange gaze. Afterwards, he picked up his mobile phone, held it to his ear, and relayed the address to the person on the other end of the phone.
The man thanked him repeatedly, saying he would arrive in ten minutes and asked him to wait there for a moment.
After hanging up the phone, the PhD student stood there, recalling the flash of inspiration he had before answering the call.
Taking the mobile phone numbers of Yan State, which he was quite familiar with, as an example, the first three digits are the network identification number, the next four to seven digits are the area code, and the last eight to eleven digits are the randomly assigned user number.
Japanese mobile phone numbers use a similar combination. They consist of an area code, a local exchange code, and any other digits. Japanese mobile phone numbers begin with 090, 080, 070, or 060, and have 11 digits. Numbers with the 090 prefix were first issued in Japan in 1999. This means that these are among the most frequently dialed digits when making a call.
Having considered this possibility, and thinking it wouldn't hurt to give it a try, the professor experimented by adding or removing 0s and 9s from the brute-force password. Finally, after five minutes—
Untied!
The doctor felt a long-lost sense of satisfaction, but then realized that unlocking the password wouldn't help his current situation. He looked at the face in the shop window and suddenly remembered that he hadn't observed what Mr. Akihara Kazumitsu looked like. In the streetlight, he saw a face that was exactly the same as his in Terra, except that he was a bit taller, had a better build, and fewer dark circles under his eyes.
Before he could even brainstorm or complain about the situation, his phone vibrated.
The doctor instinctively looked at it and saw a text message. Before his brain could process it, his hand had already opened the message.
"This Sunday, at 9:00 AM, at 10-4 Kawata-cho, Shinjuku-ku, in a black Porsche. I'll tell you the details of the mission then."

what.
what.
If I run now, is it too late?
Waiting online, very anxious.
Note 1: The Fourth Wall: It refers to an imaginary wall, a transparent wall separating the stage (screen) from the audience. It is also a barrier that separates the story from the real world. The audience is subconsciously aware of this wall but does not pay attention to it. However, if you deliberately make the story and reality interact (such as having the audience appear on the stage/screen, or having characters speak to the audience), this is called breaking the fourth wall.
Some of the more famous examples of games that broke the fourth wall include: Undertale, ICEY, and Dokki Literary Club.
