Li Nanyuan: Good morning.

When Wu Tongxue saw this, she replied with a sun emoji.

Wu Tongxue: Aren't you going to work today?

Li Nanyuan: Just arrived at the company.

Take a picture of the office's floor-to-ceiling windows and send it to me.

A large amount of warm sunlight poured in, shimmering and sparkling, while outside the glass window, the sky was vast and cloudless.

It's a nice day.

After a brief chat, Li Nanyuan, as always, got back to work.

Wu Tongxue was still sitting at the dining table when she heard someone coming down from upstairs.

Zhao Ya, wearing a dark red silk nightgown, slowly descended the stairs, yawning as she held onto the railing.

Wu Tongxue turned around and looked over there, asking the question she had just asked Li Nanyuan: "Brother, aren't you going to work today?"

Zhao Wuji's company is counting on him to inherit it, and Zhao Ya is usually extremely busy.

Zhao Ya walked over to him, pulled out a chair, and sat down. "Daddy, give him two days off to rest."

Her skin is fair, but the dark circles under her eyes are more noticeable up close.

"What did you do last night while staying up all night?" Wu Tongxue gestured with her eyes, "This area is big enough to be a panda."

Zhao Ya yawned again. "You must be sleepwalking. I'm going to eat something and go back to sleep."

Before the chef could serve the new breakfast, she picked up the spring rolls that Wu Tongxue had left and ate them first.

Finally, she perked up and smiled, showing eight teeth, "Good morning, darling."

Wu Tongxue choked, finding the mushyness increasingly nauseating. "Eat yours."

"I'm going to see my uncle later, so I won't be back for lunch."

"My dearest sweetheart, don't forget what I told you last night." A hand grasped Wu Tongxue's ringed hand and squeezed it. "There's a surprise when you come back."

Up close, his handsome yet wicked face has a kind of melancholic beauty; even staying up all night doesn't affect his good looks.

There were a few strands of wet hair on her forehead, but her face was clean, so she must have washed up before going downstairs.

Zhao Ya: "Have fun out there."

After saying that, he lazily yawned again, clearly showing that he was indeed very sleepy.

"You're so heavy." Wu Tongxue pushed him away from her. "I'm leaving."

She turned around, waved to him, and went out.

Zhao Ya leaned back in his chair, stretched, and slowly looked away with a smile on his lips, picking up his chopsticks to eat his breakfast.

After visiting her uncle, Wu Tongxue planned to contact Li Nanyuan to talk about her brother.

While I was still figuring out how to say it, Li Nanyuan arrived first.

After letting the driver leave first, Li Nanyuan stepped into Shenghua Restaurant.

Aunt Lilith was not surprised by his arrival and greeted him from the gazebo.

"Xiaoxue is still here, in the private room where you ate last time."

"We won't disturb your conversation, young people."

The uncle was still sitting in his wheelchair, staring at Li Nanyuan as soon as he entered the door, as if he were being sized up.

Zhao Ya was so eager to announce what he was doing that they received his good news early in the morning.

They act swiftly and decisively, giving others no chance to react.

After politely greeting them, Li Nanyuan didn't exchange many pleasantries and walked towards the familiar path, his figure quickly disappearing among the layers of bamboo forest.

The uncle wanted to follow, but the aunt held down the wheelchair, saying, "Xiaoxue is all grown up, let him handle it himself."

My uncle looked grim. "What if he gets hurt?"

Aunt waved her hand, and several people emerged from the shadows and followed silently.

She leaned against the railing again, enjoying the breeze, gazing in the direction he had left. Her red lips curved into a smile, her eyes alluring, but her words were like the hiss of a venomous snake: "He has no chance."

He wouldn't be foolish enough to want to experience being targeted by assassins from the underworld.

My uncle's expression softened slightly.

"Don't worry, Xiao Liu is with him too." Auntie enjoyed the moment of tranquility. "He's your apprentice whom you personally trained, so there's absolutely no chance of anything going wrong."

Uncle: "Hmm."

Now I can rest assured.
