"No."

Lan Kong shook his head again, "No more people can enter the illusion."

"Actually, there's another way." He turned his head to look at the person on the ground, who was wearing a familiar work uniform.

The person at his feet was thin, with gaunt features and dark skin. His eyes were closed, and his muscles were trembling with pain.

Lan Kong looked at him coldly, "Killing him directly will stop the superpowers from controlling others."

As soon as she finished speaking, footsteps came from outside the door. Wu Tongxue recognized the person at the front; he was Lu Yuan's teammate.

Shen Zhi led a group of people in; they were all dressed identically and moved swiftly.

“Shen Zhi.” Wu Tongxue took two steps toward him. “They have all been controlled by psychics and entered into illusions.”

Lan Kong had already suppressed his icy killing intent and leaped to Wu Tongxue's side, his smile relaxed, but he stayed close by.

"Are you alright?" Shen Zhi asked, glancing at his captain before inquiring about Wu Tongxue's condition.

Wu Tongxue: "I'm fine."

He looked at the others with concern; many of the unconscious people showed signs of pain, their limbs motionless, only experiencing muscle spasms.

The level of pain is obvious at a glance.

This bizarre scene made everyone present tense. Each and every one of them was a person of considerable influence; if something were to happen…

"Go and bring all the psychic ability users in the vicinity here," Shen Zhi decisively ordered.

His gaze swept over the faint, almost nonexistent creases between the captain's brows.

If one wanted to kill, it would be more efficient to use mental force to strangle someone. Right now, the culprit is showing the same pain as everyone else, making it difficult to guess his purpose.

Soon, three psychic ability users arrived and used their abilities to examine the scene.

Lan Kong sat leisurely in the chair next to Wu Tongxue, watching them busy themselves.

“No.” Someone’s face turned pale from overuse of his powers. “I can’t interfere with his mental power. His power level is higher than ours.”

Someone shook their head helplessly, trembling, their voice hoarse, "No."

He was swaying precariously, as if he would faint at any moment, so Shen Zhi quickly had someone help him sit down and rest.

"We must not harm him. Once his mental energy stops being output, everyone connected to him will suffer a backlash."

All eyes were fixed on the superhuman who had lasted the longest, as he continued:

"He is using mental resonance to let everyone experience everything he feels, so that a normal ending would cause the least harm to everyone."

"Are we just supposed to wait?" someone couldn't help but ask.

The superhuman nodded weakly, overusing his mental energy and feeling extremely exhausted, and he couldn't help but faint.

"Support him and let him rest over there." Shen Zhi pointed to a corner and had someone take him there, preventing him from leaving for the time being.

A healing-type ability user took the initiative to go and treat him.

"Professor Wu, he used his powers on everyone except you. Did you observe anything unusual at the time?"

Shen Zhi looked at Wu Tongxue and asked in a serious tone, "His ability level is very high. What do you think is special about him?"

He knew that Wu Tongxue knew a lot about this and might have a breakthrough to change the status quo.

Shen Zhi couldn't just wait like this; the longer it went on, the more variables would arise, and besides, everyone's situation wasn't good right now.

All those who fell had expressions of pain on their faces, as if they were experiencing a nightmare, unable to move their bodies, deeply trapped in the nightmare.

Wu Tongxue recalled again, "He came in through the side door and got to this position. Lu Yuan must have noticed that something was wrong with him and followed him. He collapsed before he even got close."

“Speaking of strange things…” Wu Tongxue raised a question: “His ability should be a wide-range one, and I don’t think he can connect so many people’s mental energy so precisely.”

The strange thing is that, out of everyone in the room, he was the only one who was completely unharmed.

The psychic ability user who had fainted in the corner slowly woke up in the healing department. Upon hearing this, he shakily raised his hand to indicate that he had something to say.
