Figure Skating: Waltz on Ice

Chapter 82 Resolving Conflicts

"What did you say, kid? You think you're so great just because you won the championship?"

"What are you doing?"

When Mei Jing saw that Du Liangchen was arguing with someone, she quickly stepped in front of Du Liangchen.

The man reached out to push Mei Jing out of the way, but Du Liangchen pulled him away in time and then grabbed the man's wrist with lightning speed.

Du Liangchen said coldly, "We're all athletes. You should know what happens when we fight in private."

The man struggled to pull his hand back, but couldn't. Du Liangchen held it tightly, and the man felt a sense of fear towards the child.

"You...you let go, let me go."

Du Liangchen's eyes swept over everyone present with a chilling gaze.

"I can let you go, but you can't lay a hand on me again."

"Don't think I wouldn't dare to lay a hand on you, kid?"

Du Liangchen curled his lips into a sneer: "You'd better think this through. We're shaking hands amicably right now. If you make a move, the meaning will change."

"With so many people watching, if you try to vent your anger, you probably won't be able to escape with so many people here. Besides, there are surveillance cameras here."

The man's face darkened as he listened to the words; he knew what the outcome would be: he would have to leave the competition.

"Of course, I just admire you and want to get to know you. How could we possibly fight?"

Du Liangchen raised an eyebrow at him: "Since that's the case, and we know each other now, then go away."

Du Liangchen released his hand, looked at the people around him pointing and whispering, snorted coldly, and stormed off.

Onlookers:

"Wow, that's amazing! Is that kung fu?"

"Yeah, he's so handsome and cute. Do you know his name?"

"You just said that this kid won the championship. We'll find out when we get back."

……

After listening to a couple of comments, Du Liangchen realized they weren't negative and stopped paying attention.

Mei Jing originally wanted to help Du Liangchen solve his troubles, but unexpectedly, he had no opportunity to use his skills.

Moreover, Du Liangchen rescued her, making her feel both happy and sad.

Du Liangchen felt a little uncomfortable when he saw Mei Jing staring at him intently.

[Was he frightened by what just happened?]

"Are you alright?" Du Liangchen asked worriedly.

"I'm fine. I should be the one asking you if you're alright."

Mei Jing took his hand to check and found it was fine, so she breathed a sigh of relief.

Du Liangchen looked at him with amusement and said, "I'm fine. Don't rush out like that next time, it's easy to get hurt."

"I was hoping to help you, but it turns out I couldn't help at all."

"No, didn't you just rush over to protect me? I'm so glad."

"However, we are all athletes, and what we fear most is injury, so if we encounter something like this in the future, remember to protect ourselves first."

"Ah."

When Du Liangchen and Mei Jing were talking, they were standing very close, which caught the attention of some people with ulterior motives.

Du Liangchen heard them say, "Wow, those two are standing so close together and smiling so sweetly, could they be a couple?"

Startled, Du Liangchen took a step back. These kinds of gossip were the most troublesome, and he was already mired in a quagmire. He no longer cared.

But Mei Jing is different; he has a fan base and has never been cyberbullied, so it's best not to involve him.

After completing their training for the day, the two returned to their respective rooms.

Du Langxing saw Du Liangchen come in: "You're back. Why do you look so absent-minded?"

Du Liangchen put down his gym bag, grabbed some clean clothes to take a shower, and reported to Du Langxing, "Someone was causing trouble just now, but it's all over now, I've dealt with it."
