Mei Jing's trembling voice betrayed her anxiety and helplessness at that moment.

Du Liangchen, who was placed in the back seat, was in a daze. When he woke up again, he was in the hospital.

The sound of the door opening and footsteps came together. Du Liangchen turned his head at the sound and squinted as he was blinded by the bright light.

"Chenchen? Chenchen, you're awake?" Mei Jing, who had been called away by the doctor to get the diagnosis results, rushed to the bedside and gently stroked his face. "It's okay, it's okay, I'm here with you~"

Mei Jing blocked the glaring light, making Du Liangchen's eyes feel more comfortable.

At that moment, the emotion in his eyes seemed to suffocate Du Liangchen, and he was momentarily captivated by Mei Jing's figure in the soft light.

As he was lost in memories of his past life's death, his body cold and stiff, he felt a familiar and warm embrace.

Suppressing his emotions that were about to break down, he firmly grasped Du Liangchen's flailing hand, kissed his forehead, and gently comforted him, "It's okay, it's okay~ I'm here, we're at the hospital, the doctor will cure you..." The trembling at the end of his voice revealed his hidden panic.

I pressed the call button by the bed, and soon the doctor and nurses came to the ward.

"What's wrong? What's wrong with the patient?... Oh, isn't he awake?"

Mei Jing moved aside from the bedside, "Doctor, please take a look, he seems unable to speak..."

Upon hearing this, the doctor's expression immediately turned serious. He listened to the man's heartbeat with a stethoscope and then said, "Don't be nervous. Now try to speak and see if you can make a sound."

Du Liangchen: "Ah uh uh uh..."

Seeing that he could only utter single syllables, the doctor looked thoughtful. He then arranged for Du Liangchen to have a brain CT scan, but still no problems were found. But that was the biggest problem.

Knowing that Mei Jing was not his family member, the doctor notified Du Liangchen to have a family member come over.

Mei Jing was extremely anxious to know Du Liangchen's health condition, but unfortunately, he was not a family member and had no right to know. This made him hate that he was a boy, because even if they confirmed their relationship, he would never be qualified to appear in his family member list.

Mei Jing arranged a private room for Du Liangchen, so the doctor didn't worry that others would overhear and spread the news because he was a celebrity. He asked directly, "Who are you to the patient?"

Du Langxing: "I am his uncle, his biological uncle. His parents are not here, so he can talk to me about anything."
