Figure Skating: Waltz on Ice

Du Liangchen understood what Mei Jing meant: Mei Jing was no one to her, nor was she an artist in the company, and she had no obligation to take care of everything for her.

He nodded. "I understand, Aunt. Just introduce the person, and let Mei Jing talk to him about the rest."

The next day, Du Liangchen's mouth was less swollen, but the wound on the corner of his mouth wouldn't heal so quickly. However, he had no choice but to go out, as they were all leaving today and he had to go to the airport to see them off.

During breakfast, his family members looked at him with meaningful glances.

The second brother winked and asked, "Little brother, what happened to your lip? Did that girl bite it?"

"Yeah! You have a girlfriend? Do you have any photos? Let us see them?" The older brother looked at him expectantly and said gently.

"Really?" Grandma asked curiously.

Du Liangchen feigned composure and said, "I went out to dinner with friends last night and accidentally got cut by a seashell." He neither admitted to having friends nor denied it.

"Ah, what a disappointment."

"Alright, hurry up and eat!" Du Langyu glared at his second son, then said to Du Liangchen, "Come to the study after you finish eating."

Du Liangchen: "...I understand, Dad."

After dinner, Du Liangchen and Du Langyu chatted in the study for nearly an hour. If Tian Zhixi hadn't knocked on the door, as she was in a hurry to get to the airport, they don't know how long they would have talked.

Du Liangchen came out with red eyes; he almost, almost got put under guard by Du Langyu.

Du Langyu threatened to tell his grandparents about his relationship with Mei Jing, and to make them watch him and not allow him to be alone with Mei Jing.

After sending his parents, brother, and aunt to the airport with his grandparents, Du Liangchen and Mei Jing went to the gym to work out their fitness and then went to the ice rink in the afternoon. They couldn't slack off just because it was a holiday.

Du Liangchen said dejectedly, "My dad almost packed me up and took me away."

Mei Jing asked anxiously, "Is it because of what happened yesterday?"

“What do you think! My dad said he’ll call me uncle, and my aunt will keep an eye on me. If we do anything that goes beyond friendship, he’ll tell everyone in the family and have my grandparents watch me all the time. I’ll retire from the military and go to work right after graduation. He wants us to never have anything to do with each other again.”

"I'm sorry, baby, it's my fault," Mei Jing said guiltily. "I will control myself in the future, for our future."

"We need to avoid suspicion, otherwise my dad is really capable of doing anything. The variety show chose my aunt to separate us, otherwise, with cameras following us all the time, it would be really dangerous for us."

"I really don't want to be separated from you~" Mei Jing reached out to take his hand, but stopped halfway through and then reluctantly withdrew her hand.

Du Liangchen patted him on the shoulder with a smile, "Bear with it for two years, and I'll marry you in two years!"

"You said it yourself, you can't go back on your word." Mei Jing held out her palm to him.

"Snapped--"

"No backing out, or whoever does will be left alone for life." Du Liangchen reached out and gave him a high five.

"it is good!"

At the gym, the two engaged in physical training. Their slender yet powerful physiques were captivating, especially their arms covered with a thin layer of muscle; the smooth lines of their muscles inspired envy. Anyone who works out knows that this effect can only be achieved under extremely low physical conditions.
