Mei Jing spoke calmly, but her voice carried a hint of anxiety: "I have to go now, I need to go back."

Du Liangchen said okay and then hung up the phone.

Mei Jing put away her phone and looked at the strange man in front of her wearing a hat and mask. "You're listening to me. You're a paparazzi, aren't you? Hand over what you just photographed and recorded."

The police arrived quickly, and Mei Jing and the man went to the police station.

After questioning and evidence collection, a large number of secretly filmed videos and audio recordings were found on the man's phone.

The evidence was irrefutable, and no amount of sophistry from the man could change it. Mei Jing was furious, but a wave of fear washed over him after hearing the recording. If he hadn't listened to Du Liangchen and checked his surroundings, that recording would have plunged him into utter ruin.

When the police asked Mei Jing if he wanted to pursue the matter further, he answered without hesitation that he would. After completing the necessary paperwork, Mei Jing left the police station, while the man remained in custody.

Fu Nanchu waited for him by the flower bed in front of the police station. Her expression softened slightly when she saw him come out.

Mei Jing took Fu Nanchu back to his mother's house and told her that he was going back to his team in a couple of days and needed her help with the lawsuit.

When Mei Jing's mother heard the whole story, she was furious and accused him of not calling her or his father, her words filled with concern that Mei Jing might be hurt.
