He had a close relationship with Fu Nanchu; to be precise, his predecessor had a close relationship with Fu Nanchu.

The Fu and Du families used to be neighbors. Fu Nanchu, Du Liangchen, and his two older brothers often played together when they were young.

Six months after giving birth, Tian Zhixi started going out to work frequently. Du Langyu was so busy that he was rarely seen. Du's grandmother also had to go to work. Only Du's grandfather, who was self-employed, took care of Du Liangchen at home.
