Figure Skating: Waltz on Ice

Chapter 127 Getting Up with Difficulty

"Ring ring ring, ring ring ring..."

The room was pitch black, and the alarm clock kept ringing.

The person in bed struggled to turn over, reached for the alarm clock to turn it off, and then lay back down.

My muddled mind slowly came to the realization that I was going to the ice rink today. I quickly sat up, rubbed my head in frustration, and made my already messy hair swing even more wildly.

With his head drooping, he groped to pull back the covers, then got out of bed and stiffly walked to the window like a zombie who had lost consciousness.

A blinding ray of light shone into the room as the curtains were drawn back, dispelling the darkness.

Du Liangchen covered his eyes with his hand, quickly closed them, and opened them again after a few seconds.

It took me twenty minutes to wash up and change clothes. As soon as I stepped out of the room, I saw the breakfast that Grandma Du had prepared on the table.

At this moment, Grandma Du walked out of the kitchen carrying a plate. When she saw Du Liangchen coming out in a loose tracksuit, her eyes were full of amazement. Du Liangchen had perfectly sculpted features and an extremely delicate appearance. He was a man with a very striking and almost otherworldly appearance.

He possessed an innate elegance and nobility, yet his excessively cold eyes made this elegance appear almost aloof. Even in sportswear, which wasn't particularly stylish, he exuded an alluring charm.

Grandma Du thought worriedly, wondering what kind of girl could stand her boyfriend being like this. She certainly couldn't accept her boyfriend being prettier than her.

Du Liangchen thoughtfully took the plate from Grandma Du's hand and placed it on the table, unaware that his grandmother was worried about him, saying that he was too handsome to find a partner.

"Shall we eat first, or go for a run?"

Du Liangchen pulled out a chair for Grandma Du to sit down and said sensibly, "Running, you and Grandpa eat first, don't wait for me."

After saying that, he put on his shoes and went out the door. His "Bye-bye" echoed inside the house, startling Grandpa Du who had just come out.

"Xiao Chen went out?"

Grandma Du nodded, smiling gently: "Yes, he just left. Xiao Chen told us to eat first and not to wait for him."

Grandpa Du brushed the hair that was blocking his eyes back, then sat down next to Grandma Du and said, "Then let's not wait. I guess they're planning to run around the perimeter of the neighborhood twice, which will take more than half an hour each way. Let's eat first."

Du Liangchen ran along the route outside the residential area, controlling his breathing, and slowly ran forward with light steps.

After finishing his run, an hour and a half had passed. He was panting heavily as he walked home, stretching his joints to relax.

After taking a shower and changing his clothes at home, and having a full meal, Grandpa Du took him to the ice rink.

Upon arriving at the ice rink, he saw many familiar friends warming up. So he joined them and started warming up. Once on the ice, he felt the coolness of the surface and the thrill of gliding, which excited him and made every cell in his body feel exhilarated.

This is why, despite his severe injuries, he still had the courage to return to the ice.

After skating around the track once, I got a feel for it and started my own training.

Du Liangchen was completely absorbed in his work. His movements were fluid and graceful, drawing exclamations of admiration from those around him.

During one leap, Du Liangchen soared high into the air, as if flying through the air. However, the moment he landed, he felt a sharp pain.

He fell on the ice, and although he got up quickly, he still felt soreness and discomfort in his ankle.

Du Liangchen sighed helplessly, "It's only been a short time since I last went on the ice, and he's already acting so distant with me. He's such a difficult guy!"
