Figure Skating: Waltz on Ice

The manager shook his head: "I just asked the front desk and the security guards outside, and no one has entered or left the hotel."

Mei Jing and Du Liangchen were certain someone was knocking on the door, but the hotel staff said they hadn't seen anyone come in or out. Just as the two sides were talking, the police arrived.

After inquiring about what happened, they decided to check the hotel's surveillance footage.

Sure enough, the surveillance footage showed a woman acting suspiciously, lingering outside Du Liangchen's room for about an hour before leaving.

However, the hotel's security camera footage did not show the suspicious woman leaving.

They then checked other security cameras and discovered that the person had not left the hotel, but was a hotel guest.

The police found the suspicious woman and brought her back to the police station. Du Liangchen and Mei Jing, who reported the case, also had to go and give their statements.

Du Liangchen and Mei Jing were only allowed to leave the police station at 7 a.m., and the woman was given a reprimand.

Back at the hotel, Du Liangchen and Mei Jing, caught off guard, were surrounded by a group of people who loudly exclaimed, "We feel sorry for our brother!"

"Du Liangchen, you jinx, stay away from your brother."

"Why did my brother go out with Du Liangchen? He stole the gold medal that rightfully belonged to my brother..."

The two were surrounded and unable to move forward. Fortunately, the hotel security guards came and stopped the group of crazed fans, allowing them to escape.

Back in his room, Du Liangchen packed his things in a low mood. Suddenly, his phone rang. He picked it up and saw it was his grandfather. He took a deep breath, forced a smile, and answered the call.

"Hey, Grandpa, have you had breakfast yet?"

Grandpa Du frowned more and more as he heard Du Liangchen's cheerful voice on the other end of the line: "Little Chen, are you alright?"

"Grandpa, what are you saying? I'm fine."

"Stop lying to Grandpa. We saw online that you went to the police station. What happened?"

Du Liangchen's heart sank, and he quickly explained, "Grandpa, don't worry, someone just knocked on the door at night. Mei Jing and I called the police. It's nothing. We're back at the hotel now, and we'll be going back soon."

Grandma Du, who was by the phone, said worriedly, "Xiao Chen, don't scare Grandma. Are you scared? Are you hurt?"

Seeing that Du Liangchen was emotionally unstable, Mei Jing said, "Once you're ready, we'll leave."

"Let's go then."

Du Liangchen picked up the backpack from the table and walked towards the door.

The bag contained pajamas and dirty clothes that he had just changed out of. Mei Jing took the bag from him and put it on his shoulder.

Du Liangchen glanced at him but said nothing.

The two arrived at the parking lot and noticed some suspicious people. They quickly found their car and left.

Du Liangchen sighed: "We must have been photographed again just now."

Mei Jing: "What, are you scared?"

Du Liangchen rolled his eyes at him dismissively: "Ha, what a joke. Me, scared? This young master is a veteran of countless battles, okay? You're the one who should be scared. Be careful not to lose fans if you get photographed with someone like me who attracts so much negativity."
