Acupido Hospital.

The ward was quiet. The young man lying on the bed had not woken up. Today was the second day after Jiang Jin was arrested.

In the next ward, Shuichi Akai, Kira Kawano, Mika, and James were gathered together, discussing what to do next regarding Duago.

“Tumen Kanghui is dead. The Japanese Public Security Bureau has taken over the investigation. If Duyago doesn’t wake up, we’ll be in big trouble whether the Japanese Public Security Bureau or the organization comes after us,” James said. “Duyago will likely be taken away by the Japanese Public Security Bureau.”

Kawano glanced at Akai Shuichi, who was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, unable to guess what he was thinking, but Kawano believed that Jiang Jin absolutely could not be taken away by the police.

Even if there are their own people in the police force, the group members obviously can't cover everything up. Once someone goes into the police force, it's hard to get out, and they'll be suspected by the organization. It's better to detain them in the hands of the FBI; at least she and Mika can take care of them.

“We definitely can’t let the police take him away. We need to stall for time and find a way to wake him up,” Kawano Ki said. “The organization will definitely not stand idly by and let their people get arrested.”

Shuichi Akai lowered his arm and turned around, saying, "I'll continue to keep an eye on things. Kawano, have someone watch out for patients who suddenly move into this floor of the hospital. If the organization comes, whether it's a rescue or to silence them, it will happen within the next few days."

The news of Jiang Jin's arrest naturally plunged the organization into a brief period of gloom.

In the bar 【Floating Clouds and Huai Moon】, Vermouth closed her phone and looked at Gin, who was smoking a cigarette beside her, with her beautiful blue eyes. She said, "The higher-ups want us to rescue him as soon as possible. If we really can't save him... then we'll shut him up forever. The police have already started investigating Tsuchimon Kanghui's death. Once he's taken away by the police, things will get very complicated."

The fragrant smoke exhaled from Gin's mouth, making his expression ambiguous. He suddenly remembered the young man nagging him to smoke less. Gin irritably took the cigarette out of his mouth, watching the thin smoke rise.

"Has the other person's current location been confirmed?" Gin asked.

“At Beihu Hospital,” Vermouth replied. “I’ve already had Bourbon stall the police, but it won’t last long. If they keep hiding in the hospital, it’ll cause a lot of trouble.”

Gin sneered and stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray: "Then we'll find a way to force them out."

Kawano Kiri squatted in the bathroom, her brows furrowed as she tapped on her phone.

[The Winery Family]

Pei Nan: "It seems like Shuichi Akai has some serious illness. He's been staying in the ward of the Immersion Hospital without being replaced."

Bu Xuexi: "Is it that we won't let you in, or that we won't let anyone in?"

Pei Nan: "...You reminded me, I should have let Mika give it a try."

Song Rentou: "Did he find out that there's something wrong with you?"

Wu Yu: "I don't know if the organization has taken any action. It's no good if there's no one in the factory!"

She Chu: "Big news, everyone! I saw Bourbon today!!"

Lu Renjia: "Me! Me! I saw it too!"

Pei Nan: "The police have indeed started investigating."

She Chu: "I saw someone go into the toilet just before I went to use it. @Lu Renjia, was that you in the toilet stall?"

Lu Renjia: "?"

Long Tao: "Why aren't they saying anything? What's wrong? Can't we talk when we're meeting up in the bathroom?"

Kawano Ki was about to ask the police about the situation when her phone rang. It was a message from Akai Shuichi.

"Is Duya still not awake?" Kawano Akira only realized why Akai Shuichi had called her after leaving the bathroom—it was because Conan had arrived. She glanced at Conan, feigning surprise, "Conan, what brings you here?"

Conan replied, "Mr. Akai told me about Toago's arrest, which is why I came to check. Where is he now...?"

"He's still unconscious in the hospital room." Shuichi Akai, his sharp, deep green eyes fixed on Conan, pointed to the door. "Do you want to go in and check on him?"

Kawano Kiri glanced at Akai Shuichi with surprise, but the other man still had that indifferent poker face.

Without thinking much of it, Conan nodded: "Is that okay?"

“You could be considered one of his old rivals,” Shuichi Akai said, opening the door to the hospital room. Conan walked in. Shuichi Akai leaned against the door, watching through the glass window. After Conan entered, he seemed to say something to the young man on the bed, but the man still didn't seem to react. However, Kiyoshi Kawano, who had been watching Shuichi Akai closely, noticed it.

She caught the extremely subtle change that flashed across Shuichi Akai's lips.

Kawano Kiri was still unable to enter the ward, nor was Mika. She observed for a moment and realized that Akai Shuichi seemed to distrust everyone equally.

This made her feel a little relieved.

into the night.

In the quiet hospital room, Shuichi Akai stood in front of the bed. He bent down, took out a key, and with a "click," unlocked the handcuffs on the young man's wrists.

He then turned and walked towards the door without warning. The next second, the person on the bed behind him moved. Shuichi Akai turned around and was met with a pale hand, bloodstains on the back of the hand, holding an IV needle, aimed directly at Shuichi Akai's neck.

Even if it's just a needle, it can be a deadly weapon to an assassin. Shuichi Akai grabbed the pale hand, and with a flick of his other hand holding the handcuffs, one end was cuffed to the bed railing, and the other end was cuffed back to the young man's hand.

Having been lying in bed for a while, Jiang Jin was at a disadvantage. Akai Shuichi knelt on one knee and pressed him back onto the bed. One of Jiang Jin's hands was handcuffed, while the needle in his other hand gleamed coldly as it was pointed at Akai Shuichi's eyes.

He struggled for a moment, but found it wasn't very effective, so he stopped and chuckled ominously, "You have quite the nerve to dare to unlock the handcuffs."

"If you don't untie it, you'll have to stay in bed forever." Akai Shuichi forcefully removed the IV from Jiang Jin's hand. Jiang Jin's voice was low and hoarse, but it didn't make him seem weak; instead, it added a chilling, sickly quality. "How did you know I was awake?"

Shuichi Akai looked into the other person's dark red eyes and replied, "When that bespectacled brat came today, I saw you move your hand. It was a very small movement, but I saw it."

Jiang Jin sighed inwardly, realizing he had still made a mistake.

"Aren't you afraid I'll take him hostage or kill him? Even if I only have one hand that I can move, if I want to kill someone, you can't stop me." Jiang Jin said, moving the hand that Akai Shuichi had grabbed. "Akai-kun, you're using him as bait. Aren't you afraid that once the bait is gone, the fish will get away?"

Shuichi Akai's expression remained unchanged as he simply said, "He's no ordinary bait, and even if you take the bait, you can't escape from here."

Jiang Jin narrowed his eyes slightly. He felt that Shuichi Akai must have discovered some secret about Conan. He was using Conan to test him, clearly not taking Conan's life seriously.

interesting.

"Akai-kun, it hurts when you hold me like that." Jiang Jin changed his tone and adopted a weak posture. "You came to see me alone in the middle of the night, you didn't just come to bully me, did you? I'm a patient."

Shuichi Akai raised an eyebrow, released Jiang Jin's hand, and leaned against the wall opposite the hospital bed, watching him. Jiang Jin moved his wrist, glanced at his other hand which was handcuffed, and casually found a comfortable position to stay in.

"Tell me, what do you want to do?"

Shuichi Akai wasn't surprised by the other man's directness. He crossed his arms and said, "The police are already investigating the murder of Yasuhiro Tsuchimon. You've been out of contact for two days now. Have you thought about what to do?"

"You don't mean you want me to confess and get leniency, do you?" Jiang Jin said with a playful expression as he leaned against the hospital bed.

“That doesn’t sound like your style.” Shuichi Akai didn’t care about Jiang Jin’s sarcasm. “It’s only a matter of time before the police find out about this place. Given the organization’s style, if you fall into their hands, there’s only one outcome.”

Jiang Jin remained noncommittal. What Akai Shuichi said was true. He wasn't the organization's big boss. If he were at risk of exposing the organization's secrets, he would definitely die.

“Cooperate with me.” Shuichi Akai leaned forward, placing his hands on the foot of the hospital bed. “I can send you back.”

Jiang Jin's eyes narrowed. His left hand was handcuffed to the bedside armrest, which slightly hindered his movement towards Shuichi Akai. Even though the handcuffs left red marks on his wrist, he didn't care at all. His dark red eyes revealed a hint of eeriness and excitement.

"Akai-kun, you wouldn't be... asking me to be your undercover agent, would you?"
