On a street in Beika Town 2-chome, a place known for its simple and honest people, a black Porsche was parked. Gin didn't have the habit of parking his car in front of other people's safe houses.

With a cigarette dangling from his mouth and a blank expression, he sent a message. The other party quickly replied, asking if Vodka could fix the light bulb for Sherry.

Gin glanced at Vodka: "Go over there and call those two down."

Vodka nodded, opened the car door and got out. When he walked to the door of No. 444, Conan and the others had just left from another direction. If Conan had looked back, he might have seen Vodka walking into Ai Haibara's house.

In the laboratory on the second floor, Jiang Jin was sitting at the table watching Ai Haibara drip blood from a test tube onto a glass slide and then observe it under a microscope.

"Ding."

Jiang Jin glanced at his phone, stood up straight, and said, "The laborer is here. I'll go open the door."

Ai Haibara ignored Jiang Jin, who then went downstairs, opened the door, and saw Vodka standing outside. Jiang Jin looked behind him and asked, "Where's the boss?"

"My brother is in the car, he wants you and Shirley to set off," Vodka said. Jiang Jin smiled slightly and pulled Vodka into the house.

Ten minutes later, there was a knock on Gin's car window. He looked up and rolled down the window. The young man outside bent down and waved at him, revealing a set of white teeth: "Boss."

"Where's Vodka?" Gin glanced around and only saw Jiang Jin and Ai Haibara. Jiang Jin replied, "I had him stay behind to help Sherry fix the light bulb."

Jiang Jin opened the car door and got into the driver's seat, saying, "I'll drive."

Ai Haibara glanced at Gin sitting in the passenger seat, opened the car door, got into the back seat, and asked, "Is there any mission you need me for?"

“There’s an investigation mission from above.” Gin said, a cigarette dangling from his lips. He reached for the lighter, and Jiang Jin glanced at it before finally saying, “Boss, smoking is bad for your health.”

Gin, holding a cigarette lighter, glanced at Jiang Jin with his dark green eyes. The young man blinked and smiled innocently. Sitting in the back row, Ai Haibara said calmly, "According to data, long-term smokers are 10 to 30 times more likely to get lung cancer than non-smokers. They'll die very quickly!"

Gin:......

"Hey boss, wanna have some candy?" Jiang Jin pulled a lollipop out of his pocket and offered it to Gin. Gin looked at Jiang Jin expressionlessly, and he awkwardly tried to pull his hand back. But in the end, Gin took the candy from his hand and said coldly, "Mind your own business."

Jiang Jin watched as Gin's slender fingers peeled off the candy wrapper, revealing the pink candy. Gin paused for a moment before putting the candy in his mouth. The whole process was pleasing to the eye. Jiang Jin felt a hypocritical pity for his group members, who couldn't see Gin eating a strawberry lollipop.

“How can the boss’s affairs be considered trivial matters?” Jiang Jin said while driving. “If Vodka were here, he would definitely agree with me.”

Gin couldn't help but grind the candy ball between his canine teeth, then took it out of his mouth. The cloying sweetness of the strawberry candy made him feel very uncomfortable.

"He must be out of his mind to have taken this kid's candy," Gin thought. "If I let him eat this stuff, I'd rather smoke myself to death!"

"Boss, where are we going?" Jiang Jin didn't know about this mission. Gin said in a deep voice, "To Pier 5, to investigate Mermaid Island."

Mermaid Island? Jiang Jin was taken aback. The timeline was messed up again! Wasn't this the year before Shinichi Kudo became Conan?

"It's a pity that Shinichi Kudo didn't go to Mermaid Island this time, so I can't meet my KPIs," Jiang Jin thought to himself, as he stepped on the gas and sped the black Porsche into the twilight.

The investigation on Mermaid Island didn't reveal anything special, so it was put aside for the time being. However, Jiang Jin left his name in this world on the visitor registration list—Amamiya Jin—waiting for the future famous detective to be shocked when he saw the registration list.

In Tokyo's Kabukicho district, dazzling neon lights flash, and at the entrance of even more luxurious nightclubs, staff greet and send off guests.

The lights were dim, and the music was languid. Vodka carefully placed the box containing the money down, while Jiang Jin, resting his chin on his hand, tossed the business card he was holding into a small fountain pool not far away.

"Big brother, that guy's expression when he left was really funny. He probably doesn't know that today is his death day." Vodka's laughter wasn't loud, it was憨憨的 (simple and honest). If you ignored what he said and only listened to his laughter, you would never know that he was a member of a criminal organization.

Gin stared expressionlessly at the female singer performing on stage. Vodka, knowing that Gin was interested in that particular star, teased, "So, big brother, you like that kind of girl."

Jiang Jin turned to look at the female star on stage, shook his head, and said to Vodka, "Where did you get the idea that the boss likes that type?"

"What? Big Brother's been staring at that female celebrity the whole time, hasn't he?" Vodka scratched his head. Jiang Jin held up his index finger and said seriously, "Someone like Boss definitely needs a mature, sophisticated woman! Old Fu, do you even know what a mature, sophisticated woman is?"

Vodka pushed up his sunglasses and said, "Of course I know, it's that kind of..."

Gin felt his head was buzzing ever since Jiang Jin came into his life. He was either teaching Vodka, that slow-witted guy, some nonsensical things or telling him to smoke!

"Shut up, Duyago!"

Jiang Jin glanced at the vodka, then gestured to Gin as if he were zipping up a zipper, indicating that he wouldn't speak. But even in silence, Jiang Jin couldn't stay still and started taking out cookies from the table and arranging them into patterns.

Gin couldn't bear to watch, so he simply turned his head back to look at the stage. At that moment, a waiter came over and brought over three glasses of wine: "This is a dry Martini for the three of you, as requested by the lady over there."

"It's that female celebrity, huh? Shouldn't we give her some face, bro?" Vodka chuckled as he raised his glass. Gin glanced at Jiang Jin, who was still focused on arranging the pattern, then snatched the biscuit from his hand and tossed it into his drink. Vodka blinked. Jiang Jin looked up at the waiter. "Miss Chris, please don't drag me into this joke too, okay?"

“What Chris?” Vodka looked around, then at the waiter. Gin was much more direct. He suddenly grabbed the waiter’s head, picked up an ice pick, and stabbed him. “Stop your boring tricks, Vermouth.”

The icicle pierced a mask, leaving Jiang Jin in awe. If it were a human head, the icicle would have pierced it, and blood would have flowed all over the place.

"Just kidding, Gin." Beneath the mask, Vermouth casually tossed her hair, revealing her beautiful face. She gave Jiang Jin a charming smile, "Little Amamiya, we've worked together before, aren't you going to help me out at all?"

Jiang Jin shrugged innocently: "Miss Chris, I still have to work under the boss, after all."

Vermouth casually tied her long platinum blonde hair up with a hair tie. Vodka, seeing her so brazen, couldn't help but say, "Is this okay? You're a big star, after all. What if someone recognizes you?"

“What does it matter? Everyone’s eyes are on the stage right now.” Vermouth said, sitting down in another seat. Gin gave her a cold glance. “You’re here for a reason?”

Vermouth smiled slightly: "Yes, I came to borrow someone from you."

"Who?" Gin asked.

Vermouth pointed at Jiang Jin with her delicate hand: "Little Rain Palace, may I borrow it for a moment?"

"What help could he possibly offer in that matter? All he does is kill," Gin said in a low voice, his eyes narrowed.

Jiang Jin immediately wanted to retort, "Who said he only knows how to kill? It's just that assassins earn the most. He can also be a middleman, deal in arms, anything that is explicitly prohibited by criminal law!"

He was an ordinary person, except that he had some negative effects on society.

Gin shot Jiang Jin a sharp look, and Jiang Jin pouted. Fine, he'd keep a low profile.

“It’s not about that. I’ve been getting a bit of a stalker from the FBI lately, which makes things a little inconvenient.” Vermouth smiled inwardly. “I’ll get back to you as soon as I’m done.”
