We bear people have power

Chapter 79 A Cinderella Story in Divine Form

"You must be the envoy sent by my father, the emperor?" the beautiful woman in palace attire asked somewhat impatiently.

Guan Bo wondered how he could have been found out about her when they had never met before. If Kui Mulang found out, his fate would be grim.

But the beautiful woman had no intention of explaining to Guan Bo. She just said disdainfully, "Sure enough, my father still sides with my two older sisters. He didn't even send an army, just a stupid bear."

What do you mean, "stupid bear"? I'm a panda, the cutest creature in the world! This woman has no sense of propriety; her limited knowledge is inversely proportional to her short hair!

The above is just my true feelings; if I anger this person, all my plans might be ruined.

"It must be Princess Baihuaxiu in person, right? I am Guan Bo, indeed sent by the King of Baoxiang Kingdom. But how did the princess know?" Guan Bo honestly admitted his identity. Since she had exposed him to his face, there was no point in denying it anymore.

"I had that Tang Dynasty monk deliver a letter home to me before. As long as my father isn't too heartless, he will naturally send someone to find me. Do you think I don't know what you told that monster? There's nothing in this Moon Cave that I don't know," Baihua Xiu sneered.

Guan Bo had a bad feeling. First, Bai Huaxiu's relationship with the King of Baoxiang Kingdom didn't seem to be good. Second, she said that the commotion inside the Moon Cave couldn't be kept from her. And judging from Kui Mulang's attitude, it shouldn't be difficult for her to go home.

“Princess, now that you know my identity, I’d like to ask you if there’s a way to leave this cave?” Guan Bo didn’t care about all the formalities and asked directly.

"Leave? You're just telling me to leave like this? Then why did I wait all these years?" Baihua Xiu said angrily.

Damn it, I knew there was something fishy going on. A million thoughts raced through Guan Bo's mind, making him feel incredibly frustrated.

Before Guan Bo could ask why, Baihua Xiu said to him as if venting her anger, "Thirteen years ago, this monster kidnapped me and brought me to this Moon Cave, where I bore him children. Did that heartless father ever care even a little? Now he sends a bear and expects me to go back with you? That's wishful thinking!"

"The princess seems to have some unspeakable troubles. Why don't you tell me clearly now? Perhaps I can help you figure it out." Guan Bo could only try to find out the whole story first.

Baihua sighed and then recounted the whole story: "This matter probably begins when I was still in the palace. My mother passed away due to complications during childbirth after I was born. However, my father and two older sisters always blamed me for this and made things difficult for me from a young age. In the palace, my food, lodging, and other necessities were no different from those of an ordinary palace maid. In fact, my two older sisters would often beat and abuse me. Can you imagine, my clothes were covered with patches they had torn off?"

"Huh? A Cinderella story from Journey to the West?!"

Guan Bo was really shocked; what kind of plot twist is this?

Baihuaxiu had no idea what Cinderella was, and continued on her own: "My father didn't care about this at all. I thought I would be abused like this forever, and I had no hope in this life. But at this time, I met that nemesis."

"You mean the princess's husband, 'my nemesis'?" Guan Bo asked.

"If it wasn't him, then who else could it be?" A look of shame, anger, sorrow, and resentment flashed across Baihua Xiu's face.

"He just robbed you?"

"If that's really the case, then it would be much simpler. I would just die, and there wouldn't be any trouble like this today," Baihua Xiu sighed.

Guan Bo thought to himself: This Kui Mulang doesn't seem to be the type to force himself on his wife. That makes sense; who's ever seen a rapist marry his victim and then be afraid of his wife?

Baihua Xiu was unaware of Guan Bozhuan's thoughts and continued, "I remember it clearly. It was the fifteenth of August thirteen years ago. I was starving all day, but I was still punished to clean the corridor in front of the palace. Then, he appeared in front of me under the moonlight."

"Weren't you scared?"

Guan Bo was curious. This Kui Mulang's appearance could stop children from crying at night. It didn't need much makeup to appear in horror movies. Wouldn't it scare people to death or go crazy if it came at night?

Baihua spat and then said, "He wasn't like this back then. He was truly elegant in appearance and imposing in stature. His speech was very official, and his demeanor was that of a young man in his prime. He was as talented as Zicheng, who could easily compose poems, and as handsome as Pan An, who could casually toss fruit. He wore a magpie-tail crown on his head, with dark clouds gathered around it; he wore a jade brocade robe, with wide sleeves that fluttered in the breeze. He wore black boots with floral pleats, and a bright phoenix belt around his waist. He was truly a remarkable man, tall, handsome, and dashing."

"Was it still riding on auspicious five-colored clouds that landed in front of you?" Guan Bo asked.

Baihua asked in surprise, "How did you know?"

"It's all a routine, ignore me and please continue," Guan Bo complained.

"He comforted me gently at the time; I had never met such a gentle person." Baihuaxiu's face still showed nostalgia when she talked about it.

What followed was the same formula as Guan Bo had described. A bullied orphan girl suddenly encounters a handsome guy with superpowers who appears out of nowhere—oh, magic powers. It's like an Eastern mythological version of "My Love from the Star."

After just one encounter, Baihua Xiu had already fallen in love with him and begged her lover to take her away from this hellish palace.

But Kui Mulang did not agree. Instead, he said to Baihua Xiu, "How can I stand by and watch you suffer for years to come? Even if I have to leave, I must get my revenge. I want to give you a grand wedding that everyone will admire."

Kui Mulang simply chose a day and went directly to see the King of Baoxiang Kingdom, saying that a prince from a neighboring country wanted to marry a princess.

When Kui Mulang transformed into human form, he was a handsome and talented man, and being a celestial being, his knowledge far surpassed that of ordinary people. With just a few words, he could easily win over the entire Baoxiang Kingdom, and the two princesses secretly fell in love with him.

The King of Baoxiang was overjoyed to see such a fine son-in-law, so he ordered a grand banquet to be held, allowing Kui Mulang to choose one of his two daughters.

That night, the stars shone brightly. The two princesses of Baoxiang Kingdom were dressed in their finest attire. Although they were chosen, they were willing to accept the position. The King of Baoxiang even specially ordered the ugliest palace maids to fill in, hoping to use green leaves to set off the red flowers and make his daughters' charm even more apparent.

However, this arrangement played right into Kui Mulang's hands.

As the moon rose above the willow branches, Kui Mulang quietly approached Baihuaxiu and used magic to conjure up a magnificent long dress for her, allowing her to outshine all the other beauties at the banquet.

Kui Mulang, feigning ignorance, asked the King of Baoxiang Kingdom, "Who is this young lady?"

The king, as if constipated, said, "She is my third daughter."

Kui Mulang then chose the third princess in full view of everyone, and under the moonlight, he took the beauty away.

This guy's showing off to the extreme.

Baihua Xiu had never experienced this feeling before. Amidst the envious and jealous gazes of everyone, she was completely intoxicated.

"As expected of a handsome guy from another planet, he really knows how to have fun. It's a pity that he would have brought another pair of glass slippers, leaving one for a game of finding the missing person, which would have been even more interesting," Guan Bo remarked.

Wait a minute, something doesn't seem right. It sounds like the King of Baoxiang Kingdom is the villain!

Guan Bo quickly asked, "Since the King of Baoxiang Kingdom has wronged you, why did you ask Tang Sanzang to deliver a message to him, asking him to rescue you?"

“Because my father is about to die,” Baihua Xiu sneered.
