We bear people have power

Chapter 18 features a fortune teller.

Guan Bo lifted his robe and draped it over Gongsun Jing. The treasure swelled in the wind and fell down in the blink of an eye, covering the sky and the earth.

Although Gongsun Jing was startled, she remained calm and with a flick of her wrist, a talisman appeared in her palm.

The Golden Light Earth Escape Talisman was Gongsun Jing's trump card for survival. Like the Silver Dragon Sword, this talisman was obtained from the cave of an ancient cultivator. As long as it was infused with spiritual power, it could make a person fly thousands of miles away in an instant.

Gongsun Jing didn't know what supernatural powers this robe possessed, but avoiding its sharp edge for the time being was the safest approach.

However, when Gongsun Jing activated the Golden Light Earth Escape Talisman, the golden light she transformed into could not escape the range of the robe.

It seemed that the moment the robes were opened, the world was frozen into a void, becoming a prison.

Despite the golden light rushing left and right, it was eventually completely bound by the gradually tightening robe.

In the end, only Gongsun Jing's head was visible; her entire body was completely covered. Moreover, this robe also had the effect of isolating spiritual energy. Gongsun Jing felt that her pair of silver dragon swords had lost their connection, and she began to fall to the ground.

This place is about 100 feet above the ground. Even an iron man would fall and break apart.

Seeing this, Guan Bo quickly flew over and scooped up the dumpling-like Gongsun Jing. After all, it was just a misunderstanding; he couldn't just watch this overly righteous girl fall to her death.

But her good intentions were not rewarded. When Gongsun Jing saw that Guan Bo was holding her, she screamed, "Ah! You shameless scoundrel, let me go!"

Guan Bo felt like his eardrums were about to burst; the woman's scream was even more powerful than a flying sword.

"Are you being unreasonable? You were the one who came up to attack me, and I was defending myself. If I hadn't pulled you back, you would have fallen to your death. So what if you're a sword immortal? Let me tell you, I have connections too," Guan Bo said, rolling his eyes.

"Get out of my way, you lecherous scoundrel, shameless scoundrel, let me go!" Gongsun Jing was in a state of "I won't listen to you," and her emotions were quite agitated.

Guan Bo scratched his head. What had gotten into this woman?

At this moment, Xiao Yingcao, who was lying behind Guan Bo, was also awakened and said to Guan Bo, "Hey, who is this sister? Ah! Stinky panda, why aren't you wearing clothes? You're such a big person, how shameless."

Hearing Xiaoyingcao's words, Guan Bo finally understood the problem.

This robe is his only clothing; he wears nothing underneath.

Perhaps because I've been a panda for so long, I've gotten used to not wearing clothes, and I completely forgot about it after transforming into human form.

No wonder this woman reacted so strongly. This was in the relatively open Tang Dynasty. If it were the Ming Dynasty, where Neo-Confucianism was prevalent, this girl would probably have committed suicide to prove her innocence.

Seeing the female swordswoman struggling, Guan Bo could only comfort her, "Don't panic, this is the middle of nowhere, no one can see us."

Guan Bo's talent for comforting people was probably negative; upon hearing this, he struggled even harder, his eyes showing a hint of panic.

Xiao Yingcao was holding back her laughter while clinging to Guan Bo's back, and almost fell off.

Guan Bo rolled his eyes and retorted, "As a sword immortal, someone who cultivates immortality shouldn't care about such details. It's just a man's body, I don't mind, why are you so nervous? If you don't like it, just close your eyes."

These words reminded Gongsun Jing, and she quickly closed her eyes, then said to Guan Bo, "Monster, do as you please, I won't be called Gongsun Jing if I even frown."

Guan Bo was helpless. He was clearly a good monster with an upright character who saved lives, so why was he being "slayed and exorcised"? Something was wrong with this situation.

However, he still patiently explained, "Miss Gongsun, this is a complete misunderstanding. Xiaoyingcao is an orphan I adopted, not someone I caught to be a snack."

Hearing this, Xiao Yingcao became arrogant and said loudly, "What snacks? Even if I were eaten by a monster, I would still be treated to a feast."

Guan Bo suddenly felt exhausted. Sure enough, the way this brat thought was extraordinary.

Gongsun Jing kept her eyes tightly closed, but the scene of Guan Bo naked kept flashing through her mind.

The more someone tries to avoid recalling something, the more vividly the memory becomes. Gongsun Jing had never heard of the story of the "pink elephant," so the more she tried to forget, the more she couldn't.

After a while, Gongsun Jing felt herself fall to the ground, and then the restraints on her body loosened, finally giving her freedom.

I opened my eyes with a little nervousness and saw a huge panda holding a little girl and looking at me.

"Well, I guess you won't feel embarrassed if I look like this," Guan Bo grinned, revealing a row of fine white teeth.

Gongsun Jing secretly breathed a sigh of relief, thinking, "This monster can actually be considerate of people?! But it does look much more pleasing to the eye. What kind of bear is this? It doesn't look fierce at all."

"Sister Gongsun, your swords!" Little Yingcao skipped over, holding a pair of gleaming silver swords in her hands.

"Huh? This little girl can actually touch my Silver Dragon Sword?" Gongsun Jing was taken aback after receiving the sword.

These two silver dragon swords are treasures left behind by immortals. They look light, but they actually weigh over a hundred pounds, and they have long since recognized Gongsun Jing as their master. Even if an ordinary person could lift them, they would be injured by the sword energy emitted by the swords themselves.

But the little girl picked up the Silver Dragon Sword and it was completely undamaged, which looked rather strange.

Guan Bo saw that she had sheathed her sword and showed no intention of swinging it again, so he was happy and considered the matter closed.

"That misunderstanding is now cleared up. If there's nothing else, young lady, I'll take my leave." Guan Bo said, and then turned to leave with Xiao Yingcao.

But Gongsun Jing spoke up, "Wait a minute."

Guan Bo turned his head and asked curiously, "Is there anything else, young lady?"

"I was indeed rash in this matter, and I am truly sorry. But I have never heard of a monster adopting a mortal. Fellow Daoist, are you going to be mistaken for a man-eating monster every time?" Gongsun Jing was not one to argue unreasonably. Although she was somewhat rash, she was a woman who dared to take responsibility for her actions.

Guan Bo felt a bit more appreciative after hearing Gongsun Jing's apology. Compared to those people in later generations who would throw a tantrum even when they were clearly wrong, this girl was indeed much more adorable.

But Guan Bo was taken aback by Gongsun Jing's words, as he hadn't thought about this issue before.

Guan Bo asked, "What, are there no good monsters in this world?"

Gongsun Jing answered quite directly: "Anyway, I've never seen you, oh, except you."

Guan Bo "..."

Seeing Guan Bo deep in thought, Gongsun Jing continued, "To be honest, my appearance here was actually due to Master Yuan Shoucheng casting a divination, which said that I would meet a destined person here."

After Gongsun Jing finished speaking, her big eyes darted around to Guan Bo and Xiao Yingcao.

Yuan Shoucheng? That Taoist priest who predicted the death of the Jing River Dragon King using divination?

The story begins with the Jing River Dragon King being beheaded by Wei Zheng, whose vengeful spirit haunted Emperor Taizong of Tang, leading Li Shimin to decide to send Tang Sanzang to retrieve Mahayana Buddhist scriptures.

After hearing Gongsun Jing's words, Guan Bo realized that everything he had experienced since Yingcao's tragic death was orchestrated by someone behind the scenes.

Seeing Guan Bo deep in thought, Gongsun Jing assumed he was interested and asked, "Then, fellow Daoist, would you be willing to become my mount?"

Guan Bo: 0_0?
