We bear people have power

Chapter 104 Fire Dragon

It was no coincidence that a group of Zoroastrians rushed to this flat-topped mountain under the cover of night. Zoroastrianism usually raids villages and sacrifices living people to please the evil god.

Pingdingshan is a remote and sparsely populated area. The large-scale mobilization of the Zoroastrian sect was not to capture sacrificial offerings, but rather for some other mission.

Mamed was the leader of this group of one hundred Zoroastrians. Within the Zoroastrian faith, he held a special position, known as the Red Priest, and possessed the privilege of having red flame patterns tattooed on his black robe.

Red priests in Zoroastrianism are fanatical believers favored by evil gods. Only those who have personally sacrificed hundreds of lives can obtain this position. Therefore, Mamed's hands are stained with blood.

However, at the same time, the Red Priest gained the favor of the evil god and was able to use the evil god's power to cast various fire spells.

Ordinary cultivators, without fire-repelling magic treasures, would probably be no match for the Red Priest.

This time, Mamed led the Zoroastrians to Pingdingshan after receiving news that their arch-enemy, the Demon Extermination Alliance, wanted to come up the mountain to borrow a treasure.

Borrowing a demon's magical artifact was simply a pipe dream; everyone who heard it just thought they were going to their deaths.

However, the evil god issued a divine decree, ordering them to do everything in their power to stop the Demon Extermination Alliance's plan to borrow the treasure.

Mamed couldn't understand it, but he didn't question the gods' intentions. So he gathered his followers and prepared to come to Pingdingshan to kill the people of the Demon Extermination Alliance.

The Demon Extermination Alliance's plan was never kept secret, so the Fire Worship Cult easily learned the timing of the Demon Extermination Alliance's operation and planted many spies.

Mamoud was able to track down to this location by following the marks left by the undercover agent.

However, once you reach this point, the road signs disappear completely.

"Go, search this area thoroughly and see if there are any clues," Mamed ordered.

Guan Bo was contemplating whether to jump out and wipe out all the Zoroastrians when he realized his right hand was grasping at empty air. It turned out that in his haste, he had disappeared into the bushes, leaving the hammer outside.

Sure enough, Guan Bo's worries soon came true. The ugly hammer was discovered by the Zoroastrians, and five or six of them lifted it up and brought it to Mamed.

The high-ranking red priest looked at the hammer, then reached out to weigh it in his hands, only to find that he couldn't lift it with either hand.

"What kind of weapon is this? Why is it so heavy?" Mamed asked behind him.

A Zoroastrian, who appeared to be injured and was sitting on a stretcher, said, "This is the weapon of one of the members of the Demon Extermination Alliance. My legs were crushed by this hammer." Lin Feibai's voice, filled with gritted teeth, came from inside the airtight black robe.

"Damn it, he looks all thick-browed and big-eyed, but he's a traitor!" Guan Bo understood immediately.

Lin Feibai must have encountered the Zoroastrians at the foot of the mountain and happily joined their ranks. Whether he'd always believed in that evil god or decided to join on a whim, he should be smashed to death.

Mamed was also somewhat surprised by Lin Feibai's words.

This hammer doesn't look very big, but its weight is astonishing. It would take five or six people to lift it, and it probably weighs a thousand pounds. What kind of strength would be needed to wield such a weapon?

"Hmph, they're nothing but brutes who rely on brute force. Before the sacred fire of my god, they will all be reduced to ashes," Mamed said disdainfully.

"Of course, Priest Ma has great magical power. He can turn a person to ashes with just a wave of his hand," Lin Feibai quickly flattered.

"But since the hammer has been used again, the person must not have gone far. Search thoroughly, don't miss the trees either," Mamed ordered.

The Zoroastrians responded enthusiastically, and Guan Bo knew immediately that something was wrong.

He was probably safe in the thicket of thorns, but the tree canopy where Zhang Yuanshan and the others were hiding was likely to be discovered.

Thinking of this, Guan Bo simply tore the vines and thorns off his body and jumped in front of the group of Zoroastrians, shouting, "Weren't you looking for me? Grandpa's been waiting right here!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Guan Bo grabbed two Zoroastrians and slammed their heads together.

With a loud bang, both heads shattered, splattering red and white blood all over Guan Bo, making him look extremely gruesome.

This imposing entrance startled many Zoroastrians, who took several steps back, and none of the hundreds dared to attack Guan Bo.

Upon seeing Guan Bo, Lin Feibai quickly shrank back, but at the same time shouted, "Priest Ma, this is the one who wields the hammer!"

Mamed glanced at Guan Bo and noticed that the man looked very young and quite thin, not at all like someone with immense strength. He asked doubtfully, "Are you sure you're not mistaken?"

"Even if you turn to ashes, I wouldn't mistake you!" Lin Feibai said bitterly.

Guan Bo laughed upon hearing this and cursed, "What nonsense are you spouting? Even the Monkey King wouldn't dare say he'd recognize you even if you were reduced to ashes!"

"Heh, you talk as if you know this person."

Mamed was already considered a cultivator, so he had naturally heard of the Monkey King. But Mamed's rebuttal left Guan Bo a little confused, as if he probably, or perhaps... really did know the Monkey King.

This feeling occurred frequently, and Guan Bo could no longer dismiss it as a hallucination.

Guan Bo thought to himself, "I must have forgotten a part of my memory, right? It must be related to this broken system."

There was no time to ponder the forgotten past, for Ma Moran had already pushed his way through the crowd and stood before Guan Bo, saying in a rather charlatan-like tone, "You have blasphemed the glory of my God and will surely die in the holy fire, suffering in hell for all eternity."

Guan Bo's response was a middle finger.

Although he couldn't understand the gesture, Mamed could feel the obvious insult and roared, "You're courting death!"

The red priest Mamed reached out and pulled a ball of flame from the void. Without any apparent preparation, he threw it at Guan Bo.

The flames were traveling at a considerable speed, and Guan Bo, unaware of their power, dared not confront them head-on. Fortunately, he was strong enough to leap several meters away with a single bound, accidentally crushing two Zoroastrians in the process.

Enraged, Mamed unleashed a flurry of demonic flames, sending them hurtling towards Guan Bo. Guan Bo, however, avoided direct confrontation, weaving and leaping among the Zoroastrians. His strength and speed were formidable; even when a group of Zoroastrians drew their swords to slash, they either missed or were simply overwhelmed by Guan Bo's thick skin.

The crowd was thrown about, and Mamed's demonic fire did not fall on Guan Bo, but instead burned many Zoroastrians to ashes.

When Guan Bo saw that the demonic fire was extremely powerful, he dared not take it head-on. It only smashed the Zoroastrian formation into pieces, making it impossible for them to regroup.

Seeing that the situation was not good, Mamed knew that if things continued, Guan Bo would not be able to burn, but most of his men would probably die.

Enraged, Mamed chanted, "Great God of Fire, grant me endless holy fire to destroy this blasphemer before me!"

The next moment, Mamed was engulfed in flames, and a fire dragon flew toward Guan Bo as if it were alive.

Unlike the fireball, this fire dragon locked onto Guan Bo's location, and even after barely dodging it, it still managed to chase after him by turning a corner.

The fire dragon was faster than Guan Bo and was about to catch up. At this crucial moment, Guan Bo stopped running. A small, inconspicuous purple flame appeared in his hand, and he shouted, "Playing with fire? Anyone can do that! Take this Douluo Fire!"
