Feasibility of Mermaids Infiltrating Qilin
Chapter 8 Terrifying Training
Twenty laps is a long time, but all the Zhang family boys completed it.
After warming up with a run, the martial arts teacher led the Zhang family boys to the plum blossom stake formation in the corner of the training ground to practice their lightness skills.
A dozen or so teenagers climbed onto plum blossom stakes of varying heights and moved and jumped on them.
The shortest plum blossom stake is only 20 centimeters tall, while the tallest is nearly 30 meters. No one knows where the Zhang family found such a tall tree trunk and brought it back.
Underneath the plum blossom stakes that are more than three meters high, there are nets wrapped around them, so even if you fall from them, you don't have to worry about getting hurt.
The training of light body kung fu requires the boys to climb to the highest plum blossom stake and not fall down during the process; if they fall down, they have to start all over again.
Su Xingze noticed that the child's body was very light and stable. Compared to other bodies that swayed constantly when people jumped and moved, the child did not make any mistakes throughout the entire process.
Each time he changed pillars, he remained calm and composed, nimbly landing on the next pillar. He quickly became one of the first group to do so, and was now standing in the 20-meter-high plum blossom pile area.
Su Xingze felt that malice again. He looked at the boy whose eyes were full of malice. He was standing on a plum blossom stake that was 18 or 9 meters long, about two meters away from the child.
The boy gave a sinister smile, then leaped up towards the child's location.
The child had his back to him, seemingly noticing his movements, but the space on the plum blossom stakes was only enough for one person to stand on. He was more than three meters away from the next stake, and there was a height difference of at least two meters, making it impossible for him to avoid it.
The boy crashed into the child, and both of them fell off the plum blossom stake.
Su Xingze moved his fingers, and an invisible wind supported the child, slowing his descent.
The child fell into the net, but there was no pain from the impact as usual. Remembering the feeling of something supporting him when he fell, he sat up from the net and looked at the little mermaid outside the plum blossom stakes.
He slightly curved his lips, then lightly leaped down from the net, using the different heights of the net to land on the ground, arriving at the shortest plum blossom stake.
The practice on the plum blossom stakes lasted for two hours. Half of the children failed to climb the highest plum blossom stake in the end, while the children did very well and climbed it twice.
The training in lightness skills came to an end, and a group of boys surnamed Zhang stood in front of their martial arts teacher. Several boys who had climbed to the top of the plum blossom stakes stood at the front, including Zhang Shenglin, who was the youngest among them.
The school teacher, with a serious and handsome face, held several black wooden plaques in his hand. After distributing the plaques to the boys who reached the top, he looked coldly at the other boys who had not yet reached the top and told them to stay after class for extra practice. He then announced that the boys could rest for half an hour.
Finally, he could rest. Even though he hadn't participated in the Zhang family's training, Su Xingze breathed a huge sigh of relief when he heard the martial arts teacher announce it.
The child found Su Xingze, took him to the cafeteria, and had a hearty lunch. After leaving the cafeteria, the child went to the bamboo forest near the training ground.
There was a large rock in the bamboo forest. The child climbed onto the rock and lay down on it.
"What are we doing here?"
Su Xingze spent half a day with the child today and found that he kept having new questions.
The child was never one to talk much, so I simply replied, "Rest."
rest?
Su Xingze looked at the large rock beneath him, resting on this cold and hard stone.
If he wasn't mistaken, all the other children had gone into the building where the martial arts training ground was located.
Su Xingze didn't ask the child why he didn't go to that building to rest. After observing for a morning, he knew that the Zhang family children were not friendly to children, and many of them were just as malicious as that boy.
Su Xingze had only been with the child for a few days, and even he, a normal person with few emotions left, couldn't help but feel pity after seeing the child's life. He couldn't understand how the Zhang family could be so cold-blooded towards a child who was one of their own.
So far, apart from the clan doctor who was somewhat kind to the children, he hasn't seen anyone in the Zhang family who has any good intentions towards them.
After a short lunch break, the Zhang family's children resumed their studies.
The afternoon's lesson was martial arts. After the regular practice, there was a sparring session. The child's opponent was a boy who was a head and a half taller than him and looked two years older.
The child had a solid foundation in martial arts, and even though his opponent was older and used underhanded tactics several times, he still managed to defeat him in the end.
Seeing the child's triumphant gaze, Su Xingze clapped his hands in praise.
Each child who won the fight received a black wooden piece and immediately began the next training session.
The next exercise is bone-shrinking technique.
Su Xingze watched as the children twisted and turned like pretzel during their exercise, their bones seemingly dislocated and then reattached, and he felt a sharp pain in his teeth.
He now understood how the child's bone injuries came about; learning this bone-shrinking technique was something no ordinary person could endure.
The dozen or so children were screaming and crying because of the pain they were experiencing while practicing the Bone Shrinking Technique, but under the strict supervision of the martial arts teacher, none of them dared to slack off.
After a long period of suffering, several members of the Zhang family carried several large bath tubs to the training ground. After finishing their training in bone-shrinking techniques, a dozen children, enduring the aching pain that felt like their bones were being shattered, climbed into the bath tubs.
The bathtub was filled with steaming medicinal water. Su Xingze curiously reached out and touched it; the water temperature remained around 48 degrees Celsius.
One by one, the Zhang family children entered the bath tub, their screams echoing across the training ground.
He couldn't help but gasp as he looked at the child soaking in the medicine.
The child's face turned red, his delicate little face filled with pain. It wasn't that he couldn't feel the pain, but he gritted his teeth and endured it without uttering a single cry.
The Zhang family is truly terrifying!
Su Xingze landed on the child's shoulder and reached out to check on the child's condition.
Fortunately, the Zhang family was sensible. Although the process of practicing the bone-shrinking technique was extremely painful, the medicine in the tub had minimized the damage to their bodies.
However, some aftereffects are unavoidable, such as affecting height development.
The fact that the tallest adult member of the Zhang family is no more than 185 cm is a telling indicator.
With his worries about the child gone, Su Xingze noticed another problem.
He discovered that totems appeared on the bodies of the Zhang family boys soaking in the medicinal bath, as the steam rose.
The totems on the boys' bodies didn't look the same, but he could still recognize that their tattoos were all of the Qilin.
Su Xingze looked at the Qilin tattoo thoughtfully.
After a half-hour medicinal bath, the Zhang family children changed into clean clothes and stood one by one in front of the burning brazier.
Heavy iron blocks and a considerable number of iron beads were placed in the brazier where coal was burning. The Zhang family child had to use two fingers to pick out the iron blocks and beads from the brazier.
Time passed slowly, and the child's face became increasingly sweaty, while quite a few iron beads remained in the basin.
Su Xingze seemed to smell the aroma of roasted meat. He looked at the child's hand in the brazier and saw that his fingers were covered with a layer of black ash.
The Zhang family is truly terrifying!
Su Xingze sighed again.
If the Zhang family's unusually long fingers were developed through such training, then this family is truly ruthless.
After the training of the "Fox Spirit" technique, the children soaked their hands in a special potion. The children's expressions were all contorted in pain, which showed that the potion was not simple.
