That night, Xiang Liu held Lu Yao in his arms as they lay on the bed, making plans for their future trip to the inland.

Lu Yao: "There is no salt inland. Let's make some salt before we go."

Xiang Liu: "You can even make salt? That's a closely guarded secret among the merfolk. So you really are a goddess!"

Lu Yao: "I don't know if I am a goddess, but I do know a lot of things. Will there be any trouble if I go to live in a tribe?"

Xiang Liu: "It will indeed be quite troublesome. There will definitely be many reckless male orcs who covet you. But it's okay, I can defeat them."

Lu Yao: "Then let's find a secluded mountain forest to live in. I know a lot of food, and I also have a spatial ability. We won't go hungry during the cold season."

Xiangliu: "But it would be more comfortable in the tribe, and I don't want you to suffer."

Lu Yao: "Being with you, I don't feel bitter."

Xiang Liu: "I'm loving you more and more now, what should I do?"

He then kissed her.

Xiang Liu only let Lu Yao go after she collapsed from exhaustion.

Lu Yao didn't wake up until the afternoon of the next day.

When Xiang Liu saw that Lu Yao had woken up, he rushed to her side and asked, "Would you like to eat something first, or take a bath first?"

Lu Yao: "I'd like to drink some water first, and then take a shower."

Xiang Liu quickly poured some coconut juice and handed it to Lu Yao.

Lu Yao drank it all in one gulp, then got up to get out of bed, but found that her back ached, so she sat back down.

After Xiang Liu put the coconut shell back on the table, he noticed that Lu Yao was about to get out of bed, so he quickly ran over to her.

Xiang Liu: "Don't move around. I'll carry you wherever you want to go."

Lu Yao shyly covered her body with her clothes: "I want to take a shower."

Xiang Liu carried Lu Yao into the bathtub. The water in the tub was already a bit cold, so Xiang Liu started adding hot water.

Lu Yao: "You already boiled the water?"

Xiang Liu: "Yes! I originally wanted to wash you myself, but I was afraid you would be angry or embarrassed, so I didn't dare."

Lu Yao said shyly, "You go cook, I can wash myself."

Xiang Liu: "Call me when the water gets cold."

After Lu Yao finished showering and getting dressed, Xiang Liu carried her to the dining table.

Today we ate boiled turtle meat and kelp again.

Xiang Liu: "You can put the rest of the turtle meat into your space later. It'll be enough for you to eat for a long time."

Lu Yao: "You should eat it. Isn't that meat rich in energy?"

Xiang Liu: "I have a big appetite, that little bit of meat isn't even enough to fill my teeth. You can keep it and eat it slowly. Take good care of your health so you won't faint easily."

Lu Yao: "I fainted because of you."

Xiang Liu: "It's all my fault, don't be angry. Hurry up and eat. Don't you still need to make salt?"

Lu Yao: "Salt making is very simple. You put seawater on a fire and boil it. After all the water evaporates, what's left is salt."

"However, it's best to filter the seawater first."

Xiang Liu: "How do we filter it?"

Lu Yao: "Make some small holes at the bottom of the coconut shell, enough for water to drip down. Put a layer of charcoal inside the coconut shell, then a layer of sand, and repeat this process several times."

"Then you pour seawater in, and the dripping seawater becomes clear and clean."

Xiang Liu couldn't wait to try it out, and sure enough, the water that dripped down was visibly much clearer.

Xiang Liu: "Yaoyao, you're amazing! Even though the charcoal and sand were so dirty, I never expected you could clean the water like that."

Lu Yao put down her chopsticks and moved closer.

System notification: "Congratulations, host, you have successfully filtered the water source. You are rewarded with one gold coin."

Lu Yao: "Put the black tortoise shell on the fire, and pour the filtered seawater directly into the shell to heat it up."

To improve efficiency, Lu Yao had Xiang Liu make a frame so that he could hang a coconut shell filter on it, allowing seawater to drip directly into the turtle shell.

Xiang Liu: "I'll get a few more coconut shells for filtering, that will speed things up."

Lu Yao: "Could you make another jar for storing salt? The salt can be kept dry in the jar."

Xiang Liu: "What should we do?"

Lu Yao: "Hollow out a piece of wood, but don't go all the way through, and then put a lid on top."

Under Lu Yao's guidance, Xiang Liu successfully made a jar the size of a chair.

System notification: "Congratulations, host, you have successfully crafted a wooden jar. You are rewarded with one gold coin."

The first batch of salt was ready that evening. The salt adhered tightly to the inside of the tortoise shell. Xiang Liu took off a large piece and handed it to Lu Yao.

Xiang Liu: "I've seen salt made by mermaids before, but it's not as white as the salt you make."

Lu Yao put the salt blocks into the jar.

System notification: "Congratulations, host, you have successfully made salt. You are rewarded with one gold coin."
