Leisurely mountain village

Chapter 28: Acquired another one

But the truly valuable, top-quality ginseng is the one that just sold for 450 million not long ago. Yes, that's another ginseng.

Moreover, in his opinion, this one is much, much older than the one he sold, and might even be older than the one his grandfather has. But he doesn't have the expertise or experience to tell him exactly how old it is, so he'll have to go back and ask his grandfather.

How could Ye Huan not be happy? Haha, this wild boar tricked us out of such a good thing, not bad at all.

He was carefully digging for ginseng. Fortunately, it had just rained, and the soil was soft. Seeing that he was busy, the wolf Disco went out to hunt alone. It remembered what Ye Huan had said: to come into the mountains to find food to take back.

Saihu stayed by its young master's side as a watchman. It had been doing this task often since Ye Huan returned. It was also the tiger that kept watch when Ye Huan dug up ginseng last time.

In just over half an hour, he pulled out a whole wild ginseng, complete with its roots and stem. Just in case, he went directly into his spatial dimension, put the ginseng away, and then came out again. Saihu knew where his master had gone and was still on guard.

After emerging from the mountains, Ye Huan, ignoring the mud on his body, burst into laughter. This trip to the mountains was totally worth it. Although he wasn't financially independent yet, he was no longer short of money.

But who would complain about having too much money? Besides, he probably won't sell this one. He's not short of money, so of course he'll keep the good stuff for himself. In this respect, he's quite like his grandfather.

After looking around for a while and seeing that the wolf had not returned, he started digging up various unfamiliar plant seedlings and then discovered a few wild tea trees.

It was a large clump. Ye Huan and his grandfather both loved drinking wild tea. His grandfather was a master at tea processing, so he took out a hoe from his spatial storage and dug up the entire clump of wild tea, transplanting it into his space. Then he irrigated it with spiritual spring water. He was very much looking forward to seeing what level the wild tea produced in this way could reach.

Spirit tea? He doubted it was possible, but he was confident it would be possible in the future.

This was already quite deep into the forest. Ye Huan saw that it was getting dark, so he whistled and heard the sound of Wild Wolf Disco. He then led Saihu over there.

After a few minutes, the two sides met. Ye Huan looked at the two wild gazelles, one wild deer, one roe deer, and four pheasants lying on the ground and was speechless. "You came here to buy supplies?"

"Wow~" Disco exclaimed, "Didn't you say you were coming to get ingredients? Aren't these all here?"

"Alright, sigh, luckily I have my space, otherwise I really wouldn't have been able to get them back." Ye Huan first put all these guys into his space, and then said, "Let's go home, it's getting dark."

So once again, the man, the wolf, and the dog raced quickly towards home. When they reached the orchard, they slowed down. Ye Huan released the prey, tied it with a vine, and placed it on a stretcher made of tree branches, preparing to drag it back.

"Let's go." Ye Huan, having finished everything, put the vine on her shoulder and went home.

"Aww~" Disco yelled, and didn't follow him.

"Hmm? You're not coming home with me? You're going back to the mountains? Fine, just call me if you need anything." Ye Huan patted its big head. He almost forgot that this guy wasn't Xiaobai; it was a true wild wolf, Disco, who roamed the mountains and forests.

"Drink some more of this spiritual spring water, you won't be able to drink it when you go back." Ye Huan took out a basin of spiritual spring water and handed it to Disco. It knew it was a good thing and quickly finished the basin of spiritual spring water with smacking sounds.

"Aww~" She glanced at Ye Huan reluctantly, then turned and ran wildly into the mountains.

"Slow down, come out if you need anything." Ye Huan quite liked this big guy.

"Let's go~" Ye Huan patted Saihu's head, and the two of them went home.

"Dad, come out and help." Ye Huan was dragging this pile of prey. Although it didn't take much effort, he had to pretend, so he called for his dad from afar.

Seeing so much prey, especially the big wild deer, Ye Dafa happily rode over on his electric tricycle, and then the father and son hauled everything back.

It needs to be dealt with quickly, otherwise it will easily break in the hot weather.

"Where's the wolf?" Mom asked when she saw them.

“There’s nothing much going on in the mountains, so it went back. It was the one that caused all of this, there’s just too much,” Ye Huan said.

"Sigh, who would have thought that our family would be so short of meat because of a wild wolf?" Ye Huan's mother said with a smile.

“I’ll take some to my fifth aunt, sixth aunt, and Xiao Tangyuan’s family; they can’t finish it all.”

"Okay, Mom, you decide. I'm going to take a shower first. Grandpa, I'll show you something good in a bit," Ye Huan said to his grandfather with a smile.

Grandpa's eyes lit up. His eldest grandson said it was a good thing, so it shouldn't be too bad. He trusted the judgment of the grandson he had raised.

Ye Huan went upstairs to take a shower, changed into dry clothes, then took out the ginseng from her spatial storage, placed it on a wooden tray lined with a cloth, and went downstairs.

"Grandpa, look..." Ye Huan placed the tray on the table like a treasure.

"You found another wild ginseng? Good luck!" Grandpa laughed. "Wait, this wild ginseng..."

Ye Huan was startled. Could it be? No way, how could he mistake wild ginseng?

"Haha, this is great stuff, Xiao Huan, where did you get this?" Grandpa laughed loudly.

"After we crossed Wild Boar Ridge, it was a super big wild boar that led me there." Ye Huan told his grandfather the story with a smile, sitting quietly as if listening to a story, looking at his uncle with admiration.

Grandpa nodded. Wild Boar Ridge is a place that most mountain runners dare not cross. No wonder. "This wild ginseng is over 700 years old, probably around 780 years old. It's a real treasure. What are your plans?"

"Of course I'll keep something this good. I'm not stupid; I'd sell the ordinary stuff if I wanted to," Ye Huan said with a smile.

Grandpa nodded happily, then instructed, "Try to avoid going behind Wild Boar Ridge as much as possible in the future. Who knows what big creatures might be there? Less than 20 li away is the pool I mentioned. You must not go there."

"Oh? So close, I see, Grandpa. I don't usually go that deep. Today, it was that big wild boar who took me there." Ye Huan nodded. Although he was stronger now, he couldn't believe he could defeat a dragon, a giant python, or a jiao (a type of dragon-like creature).

Perhaps only after reaching level ten or higher will it be possible. Ye Huan won't be blindly confident. His life is more important, there's no need for that. He has plenty to eat and drink, why would he risk his life?

"Bring down that package I had earlier," Grandpa said.

Ye Huan nodded, went upstairs pretending to get a package, but actually took it from the thatched hut in her spatial dimension, and carried it downstairs.
