Chapter 476 The Secret Passage of the Family Manor

"Where is the operating room?" he asked, pressing down on the nurse's shoulder.

“In…in the innermost room, there’s a combination lock…” the nurse’s teeth chattered. “The password is Liu Jinya’s birthday, 19680315…”

The sound of police sirens blared in the distance, and Chen Ye's men suddenly shouted, "Damn it! We've been spotted!"

All the lights in the family manor were on, and the beams of searchlights swept across the mine tunnels. Xu Zirui pushed open the hidden door: "You guys go first, I'm going to the operating room."

"No! It's too dangerous!" Jiang Xin grabbed him.

“I failed to save my mentor three years ago. This time, I can’t fail again.” Xu Zirui pried her hands off. “Tell Li Gang that there are ‘materials’ in the operating room and ask him to bring people to save him.”

He rushed through the hidden door, and behind him came Jiang Xin's shout: "I'll wait for you to come back!"

The operating room lights were a cold white, casting a chilling glow on the stainless steel table. Xu Zirui hid behind a sterilization cart, while Liu Jinya, wearing a white coat, spoke to a man with a small braid. The man, wearing gold-rimmed glasses, held a scalpel and gestured it towards the chest of a young man strapped to the table.

"How's Xu Zirui doing?" Liu Jinya's voice was like sandpaper scraping.

“He’s already suspended. Wang Mei’s death is enough to keep him in deep trouble,” the man with the gold-rimmed glasses chuckled. “Once this is over, it’ll be his turn.”

The young man suddenly struggled, the tape in his mouth making a hissing sound. Xu Zirui looked at his medical record card—"Liver donor match, 30 years old, blood type A," the same blood type as his teacher three years ago.

"Give him an injection." Liu Jinya turned and walked out. "Remember to record it, make it look like a medical malpractice incident."

The man with the gold-rimmed glasses picked up a scalpel, and in the instant the scalpel flashed with a cold light, Xu Zirui shoved aside the sterilization cart. The instruments crashed to the ground with a loud thud. He lunged forward and grabbed the scalpel: "Let him go!"

The man with the gold-rimmed glasses was surprised that someone dared to barge in and was shoved against the equipment table. Xu Zirui ripped off the restraints on the young man's body and suddenly noticed a snake tattoo on the young man's chest—exactly the same as the one on the bald man's wrist.

"You're also from the Snake Medicine Association?" Xu Zirui was taken aback.

The young man suddenly pulled a knife from under the bed and stabbed him in the stomach: "Boss Liu said, I'll kill you in exchange for my freedom!"

Xu Zirui dodged to the side, the knife slicing his arm. The man with the gold-rimmed glasses picked up the alarm and pressed it, the sharp sound echoing down the corridor.

"Grab him!" Liu Jinya led his men in, each carrying a steel pipe.

Xu Zirui grabbed the young man and ran towards the door, gunshots rang out behind them. He turned towards the ventilation duct, the metal wall slicing his knee.

"Why should we help them?" Xu Zirui asked, panting.

“My sister is in their hands.” The young man’s voice trembled. “They said they would release my sister if I cooperated.”

The ventilation duct suddenly started shaking, and someone was cutting something outside. Xu Zirui kicked open the exit gate and jumped into a ward—inside lay more than a dozen "materials," all on ventilators with dark red IV drips in their arms.

"They're drawing platelets," Xu Zirui said, looking at the IV drip. "These people all have rare blood types."

The young man suddenly pointed to the freezer in the corner: "Inside... there are many organs, and their names are written on the labels."

Xu Zirui opened the freezer, and a blast of cold air hit him. Inside, organ preservation boxes were neatly stacked, the top box labeled "Lin Jianguo"—his mentor's name, dated three years ago on the day he passed away.
