Chapter 41 Anaka
“Anaka… Anaka… Anaka…”
Aatrox's call echoed throughout the mountains, while Lissandra and her Iceborn followers maintained a basic level of vigilance, constantly watching for any unusual developments.
The sound gradually faded into the distance, and the mountains remained as silent as ever.
"What's going on?" Lissandra sensed carefully but couldn't detect any unusual energy. "Could she be gone?"
"No, she's here." Aatrox was in a rare good mood.
As soon as the words were spoken, a dazzling blue light shot up from the distant horizon. It soared into the sky, drew an arc in the air, and then changed direction, rushing towards the foot of the mountain where everyone was.
"Watch out for RPGs!"
Lissandra certainly didn't completely trust the Darkin. She changed her hand gestures and erected a protective shield made of True Ice, enveloping everyone. She dared not gamble on who the blue light might hit!
A few seconds later, it fell fifty meters away from the crowd, cracking the ground and sending up plumes of white smoke.
Aatrox dismissed Lissandra's defensive actions with disdain: "My loyal subordinates, even if they become Darkin, will not threaten my safety."
"Ha, I am also corrupted by the void. I wonder what will happen if the Watcher affects me through the seal."
"But I am certain that for my men, my orders are above all else, above the influence of the Void! This is the pride of the Ascended, the pride of Shurima!"
As the white smoke dissipated, a large crater was formed where the blue light had landed. Lissandra deactivated her protective shield and led the group cautiously closer, at which point they could finally see the object within the crater.
There were broken pieces of ice all around, indicating that it had been encased in ice before.
It was a giant weapon about five meters long, with a strange appearance. It was shaped like a spear, but only the tip was visible. Dark blue and blood red intertwined on its surface, exuding a dangerous aura.
"Darkin Spear, Anakka." Aatrox floated in mid-air in the form of a demonic sword, surveying his loyal subordinates. Aatrox could sense his heightened emotions.
“I’ve only ever seen them in card games…” Ato looked curiously at the new Darkin that only existed in the setting.
“It’s still a weapon; it hasn’t awakened yet.” Lissandra had finished her examination and was secretly amazed. No wonder it was once an Ascended One.
Her hidden power, the magically modified trolls—if they were to clash with the Darkin, they would only be slaughtered. This deal was definitely a win-win situation…
"Next, I will create a body for Anaka. Little one, the flesh and blood you absorbed on the big ship will soon come in handy."
"It has been prepared for a long time."
Atto was very grateful that Planck had given him such a great gift.
During his one-on-one battle against the Leviathan, aside from Andrew and the crew members who jumped overboard to escape, he used the power of the magic sword to absorb everyone else on board—about a hundred people.
Since then, Ator has not been injured again. The flesh and blood in the Demon Sword have not been consumed and are in ample reserve. Only a small portion of it is needed to create a body for Anaka.
Under Ator's control, a dense aura of blood erupted from the Darkin Demon Sword, merging into the spear. Loraka and the others felt suffocated, and Lissandra had to cast magic again to resist the blood aura.
The Darkin Spear is changing at a speed visible to the naked eye.
Its rear half gradually closed, becoming a long stick resembling a handle. The front end, embedded in the ground, split into three blades, and a figure that could barely be identified as humanoid took shape next to the spear.
She has long limbs, an inverted triangle-shaped head, and her left hand tightly grips a weapon formed from a spear. Her joints have wings resembling those of a bat.
Purple blood flowed through its translucent body, its face was marked only by a pair of eyes that exuded a faint orchid fragrance, and its surface was covered with a layer of ice.
“Two thousand years have passed, it’s been a long time, Anakka,” Aatrox said with emotion.
“General…” Anaka uttered in a low, hoarse voice, her body not yet fully formed, as she struggled to call out the name she was loyal to.
Upon seeing this scene, Ato immediately imagined a lot of melodramatic scenarios.
For example, the celestial warriors of ancient Shurima, in their many battles, both admired and loved the powerful general, but before they could express their feelings, they fell into darkness and became Darkin...
Two minutes later, the blood and energy transfer was completed, and Anaka's body was finally formed.
She forcefully pulled the spear embedded in the ground, walked to the floating Darkin Demon Sword, knelt on one knee, and said in a low, hoarse voice, "General, I'm back..."
“You haven’t changed at all, Anaka.” Aatrox was in high spirits upon the return of his subordinates.
“I will obey the general’s orders… What are your orders, general…” Anaka’s mind seemed to be not very sharp; she only had the instinct of loyalty to Aatrox, and her speech was intermittent.
"Have you been hidden in the iceberg for the past two thousand years? After the Protoss sealed us away, did no one else discover you?" Aatrox longed to catch up with Anaka.
“I will obey the general’s orders… What are your instructions, general…” Anaka repeated her words.
“How could this be…” Aatrox wanted to frown, but he was just a sword. “It seems the seal has damaged her intelligence, making it impossible for her to communicate normally.”
“Why don’t you give her an order? Maybe she’ll understand,” Atto suggested.
“This is the only way.” Aatrox chose his words carefully. “Anaka, I need you to stay in Freljord, to stay at Frostguard Keep.”
"You must help this lady monitor the seal beneath the abyss, where the monsters we fought are sealed. If the situation becomes urgent, you may follow her orders. This is extremely important. Can you do it?"
“Yes, General…” Anaka bowed her head deeply.
"It worked! She understood!" Ato breathed a sigh of relief. If Anaka had been too mentally challenged to understand Aatrox's orders, it would have been a disaster, and the deal with Lissandra would have been ruined.
"Rise, my men, let us return to the fortress together."
“Yes, General…” Anaka silently rose, leaning on her spear and standing beside the Darkin Demon Sword, like the most loyal guard.
“There shouldn’t be any problems.” Ato looked at Lissandra.
“As you can see, Aatrox’s orders have been effective. Now we only need to worry about one thing: what effect the Watchers will have on the Darkin. We’re heading back to the fortress immediately.”
Lissandra ended her observation of Anaka, but she did not completely let her guard down, because she was very familiar with the corruption of the Void, and therefore understood even more the hidden dangers lurking in those who had been corrupted.
"Let's go back."
Lissandra began casting a teleportation spell, and a layer of pure ice spread out beneath everyone's feet, enveloping the Iceborn, the five-meter-tall Anaka and the Darkin sword, and finally enveloping Ator within it.
Throughout the entire process, Anaka showed no reaction and remained oblivious to the magical aura.
