Chapter 14 Set sail
A banquet is being held at Planck's estate.
Besides the most powerful Iron Ditch Gang, there are some other large gangs.
Raven, Huck, and Old Blow are all leaders of large gangs who acknowledge Planck's rule over Pitt and obey his orders.
They were invited ostensibly to attend a banquet, but in reality, they were there to discuss the development direction of Piraeus with Planck.
In fact, Miss Fortune's power was no less than theirs, but since she chose to be an enemy of Planck, she naturally wouldn't be invited.
If given the chance, Planck would personally tear her to pieces.
Hack had a sharp, angular face and his blond hair was neatly combed back. He was the most resourceful of the three.
After listening to his subordinate's report, a slight smile appeared on his face.
“Mr. Planck, I have some news that might interest you.” Huck, holding a glass of rum, swayed as he approached Planck.
"What news? Tell me."
"This afternoon, my men spotted a purple-skinned mage boarding Miss Fortune's ship at the 'Nautilus Tavern' in Fleet Street!"
"Why are there always strange people being contacted by Miss Luck lately?"
Planck frowned slightly. What on earth had happened to Miss Luck lately?
One Athos was enough to make Planck temporarily abandon the pursuit of Miss Fortune, and now with another mage, it's even more difficult to make a move.
“After that mage boarded the ship, small boats kept bringing supplies to the ‘Siren,’ and the volume was enormous! It seems they plan to leave Bilgewater for an extended period of time,” Hark added.
"Oh?" A glint flashed in Planck's eyes. This might be an opportunity, a chance to make Miss Fortune disappear from the world completely!
"Do your men still know the location of the 'Siren'?"
"Of course, it's always been locked."
"Very good, don't let it out of sight." Planck called to the first mate who was waiting nearby, and they immediately got to work.
Just now, he made a bold and crazy decision!
"Andrew!" Planck and the first mate returned to the office. "Have the Leviathan prepare for battle and proceed to the vicinity of the open sea, awaiting my orders!"
"Captain, is there an enemy attacking Bilgewater?" Andrew asked nervously.
The Leviathan performed admirably during the Night of the Soul Eater, using its powerful firepower to significantly reduce the losses suffered by the Iron Trench Gang.
"No, Sarah is going out to sea."
"Captain, you are here to..."
“I didn’t have a chance to make my move in Bilgewater. But once we’re out of these islands, the sea will become Sarah’s grave!”
"Andrew, this mission is yours. Board the 'Leviathan' and send Sarah to hell!"
Andrew took a deep breath: "Understood, Captain. I will use the wreckage of the 'Siren' to pay tribute to the brothers who died at Sarah's hands and to declare the victory of the Hook Gang!"
The next morning, the "Siren" completed its preparations ahead of schedule and sailed away from Fleet Street as if nothing had happened.
Sarah ordered the crew to change the sails overnight and paint a lot of graffiti on the hull, so that strangers would not recognize it as the same ship.
But how could Hack let Sarah leave so easily?
Planck was very concerned about Sarah's movements, and Hack was well aware of it.
To prove his abilities to Planck, he personally went to Fleet Street to keep watch after leaving the manor, and Sarah's little tricks were all observed by him.
"Miss Luck is making a move! Quick, follow her!"
Harker ordered his men to begin their operation, and he also disguised the ship.
The deck was covered with many crates for loading cargo, which were covered with white cloth and secured with thick hemp rope, making it look no different from an ordinary cargo ship.
The two ships left Bilgewater, and Hack kept the distance at a point where they could barely be seen through a telescope.
The Sirens seemed unaware of this and, after reaching the open sea area, slowly sailed northeast.
“This direction…” Hark had traveled to many places by boat during his youth and was quite familiar with Runeterra.
"They're going to Ionia! Is it that mage? What's he going to Ionia for?"
That was no longer a concern for Hack. He went to the ship's communications room and reported the Sirens' movements to Planck.
……
"The power of the runes is too great. I cannot guarantee what will happen if I activate five runes at the same time."
Onboard the "Siren," Ritz is discussing the feasibility of the plan with Atto.
After careful consideration, Ryze decided to accept the deal with Atto.
Finding all the runes and hiding them where no one knows them is the meaning of Ryze's existence.
He needed to know the location where the World Runes might be hidden, no matter what.
He basically believed in Ator's character and that he wouldn't resort to any means for power. His only concern was that the five runes coming together might cause serious consequences.
Even without fully activating the power of the runes, it is still quite terrifying, so the location where the runes are activated is very important.
If the runes went out of control, like Nokoshi in Valoran and the Garden City of Shurima, the earth would shatter and life would be lost—this was not what he wanted to see.
"Isn't it hard to find a location? There's a perfect one right next door." Ator was naturally referring to the Shadow Isles, which are adjacent to Bilgewater.
No humans live there; it's almost entirely inhabited by mindless undead.
Ator continued, "Not only the Shadow Isles, but also the southernmost part of Shurima has a vast uninhabited area. If we have to use rune destruction, we'll choose the location based on the situation."
“There’s a ship that’s been following us the whole time,” Aatrox warned. “I noticed it as soon as we left port. He thinks he’s safe because he’s far away, but he’s being too clever for his own good.”
“They’re definitely Planck’s people. Let them follow if they want.” Atto didn’t care.
"Nothing in Bilgewater can threaten me and Ryze, not even that big metal thing deep underwater."
"Even the best bounty hunters can't remain completely hidden?"
Ryze, however, was preoccupied and, if possible, did not want anyone to know his whereabouts.
"Don't worry, they don't know about the runes, let alone why you went to Ionia," Ator reassured him.
"Besides, they will definitely make a move; it's just a matter of when. Once they understand the true terror, they won't dare to investigate any further."
The Sirens sailed safely for three days, and were already thousands of nautical miles from Bilgewater.
The wind direction is favorable along the way, and we should be able to reach Ionia in about another week.
They chose to land in the province of Baru, located west of Ionia, which was the optimal landing point calculated by Ator.
I thought it would be another peaceful day, but unexpected events always seem to arrive at the worst possible time.
Something's appearing in the distance!
The lookout noticed an object in the path of the route ahead, which immediately drew everyone's attention.
As they drew closer, the sailor finally saw what it was: "It's a warship! Judging from its appearance... it's Planck's 'Leviathan'! What's it doing here?"
