"Oh dear, a woman, Master!"

The curly-haired giant turned tail and ran as soon as he saw Fairy Zixia, as if he had seen some kind of demon or monster.

"Oh my, there really is a woman, Master!"

The pig-headed monster cried out in delight upon seeing Fairy Zixia.

Zixia Fairy gave them a cold look and continued eating meat and drinking wine by herself. The monk, looking very serious, even chanted a Buddhist prayer to Zixia Fairy.

"Amitabha."

Fairy Zixia: "Don't look at me, or I won't give you any."

The pig-headed monster clasped his hands together: "Female Bodhisattva—"

Zixia: "Get lost!"

Without a word, the pig-headed monster turned around, walked to the monk's side, plopped down, leaned against the shady wall, and whispered to the monk, "Master, she told me to get lost."

The monk nodded: "I'm not deaf."

The pig-headed monster sighed, "If only my senior brother were here."

The curly-haired burly man next to him nodded in agreement, having been standing there timidly all along, and said, "Second Senior Brother is right. If only Eldest Senior Brother were here."

The monk agreed: "If only Wukong were here."

Upon hearing this, Zixia turned to look at them and said, "Is the Wukong you're talking about the Great Sage Equaling Heaven, Sun Wukong, who caused havoc in the Heavenly Palace five hundred years ago?"

The pig-headed monster puffed out his belly smugly and said, "Of course, it is my senior brother."

Zixia nodded.

The pig-headed monster thought Zixia was trying to establish a connection with him, so he shamelessly asked for a chicken leg. But after asking, the woman didn't say anything more and turned her head away.

So he took the initiative and asked, "Do you know my senior brother?"

Zixia: "Get lost!"

The pig-headed monster turned around and almost burst into tears, leaning on the monk's shoulder.

After seeing the monk's handsome appearance, Zixia stopped talking to the three men; there was no need. Although the monk was very good-looking, he seemed like the kind of person who had no interesting stories.

In comparison, the Taoist priest was much better. Although neither of them liked to talk, the Taoist priest was much better looking than the monk, even if he didn't speak.

How can a monk with not a single hair on his head compare to a Taoist priest with flowing hair?

Youdu.

Zhang Zhengdao sat on the high platform of the Yama King's Palace, with various documents piled up on the table in front of him. The ten Yama Kings stood trembling beside him, reading each word to Zhang Zhengdao.

Hellish audiobook mode.

Hell is basically a mess.

Every period of chaos brings a lot more messy problems. If these were to reach the Heavenly Court, it probably wouldn't be of much use, since the Buddhists are now the ones backing Hell.

After washing another cup of tea, Zhang Zhengdao glanced at the entrance of the main hall and said, "Since we're already here, why bother with all the pretense? Do Buddhists only observe people from the shadows?"

No sooner had he finished speaking than a thin monk appeared at the door.

"donor……"

"If you fart, let it go!"

The thin monk was not annoyed and laughed, "I know the cause and effect of this matter. I am the Buddha of the Great Thunderclap Temple, and I am here to act as an advocate for the Emperor of Fengdu."

Zhang Zhengdao: "Speak!"

These words were somewhat arrogant and sounded extremely rude to others, but the Buddha of Precious Banner Light did not care at all and said with a smile, "The Daoist is a straightforward person."

Zhang Zhengdao: "Can you be the master of the Fengdu Emperor?"

The Buddha of Precious Banner Light said, "Since it was entrusted by the Great Emperor of Fengdu, it is naturally within our power to make decisions. Daoist, please just speak up about what you desire!"

Zhang Zhengdao glanced at him, then at the Ten Kings of Hell.

The Ten Kings of Hell were very excited about the arrival of the Buddha of Precious Banner Light, because this was a powerful backer. So they forcibly suppressed their excitement, but how could Zhang Zhengdao not see the subtle expressions on their faces?

"Is Supreme Treasure's soul still there?"

Zhang Zhengdao checked so many files but didn't find the soul of the deceased Supreme Treasure, which means his soul is no longer under Yama's control.

The name Supreme Treasure is very familiar to the Buddha of Precious Banner Light.

The people arranged by the Buddhists, whether they are the mortal Supreme Treasure or the Great Sage Equaling Heaven Sun Wukong, are all well-known to them and cannot be allowed to escape their control.

"Supreme Treasure is just an incarnation of the Great Sage Equaling Heaven, Sun Wukong. Sun Wukong crossed him out of the Book of Life and Death in the Underworld, so the Underworld naturally cannot take him away."

Zhang Zhengdao nodded.

"I don't really want to find him. I just want to tell the underworld and Buddhism to stop their shady dealings. Even monks in the mortal world are spreading rumors that they have connections in the underworld..."

“What the Taoist priest says is true. From now on, the underworld is the underworld, and Buddhism is Buddhism. Everything will be just.”

Zhang Zhengdao said, "You're smart enough to leave now!"

When the Ten Kings of Hell looked again, the Taoist was no longer on the high platform. Then, seeing the Buddha of Precious Banner Light, they came over and knelt down.

"We beg Buddha to grant us justice!"

The Buddha of Precious Banner Light clasped his hands together and said, “I have already made a promise, and I will naturally keep it. You can rest assured that after the Great Emperor of Fengdu recovers from his injuries, there will be arrangements.”

After saying this, the Buddha of Precious Banner Light also disappeared in a flash.

The Buddha came with thorough preparation.

First, he sneaked into the darkest place in the underworld and met Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.

The Buddha Ratnakuta asked, "Venerable One, what is the origin of that Taoist Priest Zhang?"

Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva asked, "Listen carefully."

Di Ting was not speaking at first, but when pressed, it said, "I cannot find out either."

The expressions of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and Ratnaketu Buddha both changed.

Even the Buddha couldn't figure out the origins of this Taoist priest, and neither could Di Ting (a mythical beast). It felt like things were getting a little out of control.

Di Ting then said, "Under the Way of Heaven, all things are knowable; but the origin of the Great Dao is unknown to the Way of Heaven. Therefore, I only know the myriad things of the Way of Heaven, but not the things of the Great Dao..."

Both of them gasped.

The Buddha of Precious Banner Light appropriately expressed his gratitude: "Thank you very much."

Just as they were about to leave, Di Ting said, "This Taoist can summon the divine thunder of the Great Dao Chaos. You must not fight him head-on. Remember this well."

The Buddhist practice of compromise and even the decisive severing of ties with the underworld stems from the inner fear of the Buddha Ratnaketu. What should be relinquished should be relinquished.

Zhang Zhengdao found an excuse to force the underworld to sever ties with Buddhism, because he always had a very familiar feeling about this world.

The Heavenly Way here does not seem to be the same as the Heavenly Way in the previous world of "Journey to the West".

Journey to the West is Journey to the West, but the deviation of the Heavenly Way makes Zhang Zhengdao seem to have comprehended the Great Dao, and he is like a fish in water here. Therefore, the Buddhist sect should not be allowed to cause trouble.

Water Curtain Cave.

Supreme Treasure's soul returned to the cave.

This time he saw many things clearly, including his own true form.

The voice of Guanyin Bodhisattva seemed to drift through the Water Curtain Cave, leading him to the deepest part of the cave. There, Supreme Treasure suddenly saw a stick and a golden hoop on the stone wall.

"Supreme Treasure, you need to think this through. Once you put on the golden headband, you can no longer have any worldly feelings for men and women. You will regain your true form, and you will be the Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong. You will protect Tang Sanzang on his journey to the West to obtain the scriptures and achieve enlightenment."

Supreme Treasure looked intently at the golden headband and golden cudgel in front of him, then slowly reached out and picked up the golden headband.

"Bodhisattva Guanyin, I have a request."

The Bodhisattva's voice came clearly: "Ask away!"

Supreme Treasure: "Could I put on the golden headband first, then find Fairy Zixia to get the Moonlight Box, go five hundred years later, and rescue my wife Bai Jingjing? I swear, after rescuing her, I will end this earthly bond, and then I will willingly accompany Tang Sanzang on his journey to the West to obtain the scriptures, and I will never regret it."

His voice echoed in the Water Curtain Cave, but no one answered him.

Supreme Treasure: ? ? ?

"Bodhisattva, please speak, Bodhisattva!"

No one answered him, and it seemed that even Guanyin Bodhisattva was not comfortable answering the question.

Supreme Treasure added: "If I don't rescue Bai Jingjing, I'm afraid I won't be able to go on the journey to the West with Tang Sanzang in peace, because for me, whether or not we go on the journey to the West is really meaningless."

"So before we embark on our journey to the West, I want to do the most meaningful thing in my life: rescue my wife, Bai Jingjing. Will you agree?"

at last……

The Bodhisattva said, "What did you just say?"

Supreme Treasure: ...

"As I just said, I want to wear the golden headband, then find Fairy Zixia to get the Moonlight Box and go back 500 years to rescue my wife Bai Jingjing. Then I will use the Moonlight Box to travel back in time and willingly go on the pilgrimage with Tang Sanzang without any ulterior motives."

Bodhisattva: "...I...can't...hear...clearly..."

"Squeak-"

Suddenly, Supreme Treasure felt a headache, as if some sound was swirling in his head.

In the bamboo grove, Guanyin Bodhisattva was somewhat puzzled.

Why can't I contact Supreme Treasure all of a sudden? We were just having a normal conversation a moment ago. Then a Taoist priest appeared in front of her.

“Zhang Zhengdao?” Guanyin Bodhisattva was surprised.

“It’s me!” Zhang Zhengdao said with a smile. “Bodhisattva… Bai Jingjing five hundred years from now needs a peerless hero to save her. I think Sun Wukong is perfect for that. Wouldn’t it be better to fulfill his wish?”
