Chu Chenmu knew that a novel with such a cringeworthy title must have a thrilling and explosive plot.

really.

The early part of this novel is an early rebirth revenge story with Luo Suichen as the protagonist.

Luo Suichen was an orphan since childhood, having lost both his parents. At the age of eleven, he was taken back to the Wuji Sect by Chu Chenmu, who was away on a mission, and was accepted as a disciple by the aloof and righteous Chu Chenmu.

He had heard that Chu Chenmu was a man of strong principles, aloof and noble, and revered by the world. He thought this would be a turning point in his miserable first eleven years of life, but unexpectedly, Chu Chenmu made things difficult for him in every way. Later, after Chu Chenmu discovered that he possessed both spiritual and demonic meridians, Chu Chenmu, who utterly hated the Demon Sect, tortured Luo Suichen in every way, and in the end, he was tortured to death.

Luo Suichen initially did not know why his master disliked him, and even until his death he thought he had made a big mistake. But he only heard his master, whom he had respected for more than ten years, say to him: "As a half-demon, you should never be delusional about cultivating immortality and attaining the Dao."

Luo Suichen didn't understand. Without anyone to teach him, he didn't even know why he was a half-demon. He couldn't understand why, despite his wholehearted devotion to the Dao and goodness, he had been sentenced to death by his master.

What follows is a clichéd rebirth plot: After a tragic death, Luo Suichen is reborn with immense hatred. He initially wanted to stay away from Chu Chenmu, but unexpectedly, his rebirth occurred just as he was becoming Chu Chenmu's disciple. He could only hide his hatred for now, waiting to take revenge once he had become stronger. While cultivating in the Wuji Sect, he actively cultivated the Spirit and Demonic Meridians to pursue advancement in his cultivation level, resulting in extremely rapid progress.

During a chance encounter, he was ambushed and poisoned, but was rescued by Mo Qiluo, the Holy Maiden of the Demonic Sect. He then completely betrayed the Wuji Sect and joined the Demonic Sect. With the Holy Maiden's support, he eventually became the Demonic Sect Master, waging war and unifying the cultivation world. He himself survived the ascension tribulation and ascended from the Canglan Continent. The original owner of this body… Luo Suichen's first act after becoming the Demonic Sect Master was to attack the Wuji Sect and abduct Chu Chenmu. It wasn't until the very end of the story, when Luo Suichen ascended to the upper realm with Mo Qiluo, that he finally gave Chu Chenmu a quick death.

After watching the plot, Chu Chenmu felt as if he had a fishbone stuck in his throat, a thorn in his back, and was sitting on pins and needles.

It was indeed exhilarating and explosive, but why was it Luo Suichen who was exhilarated, while Chu Chenmu was the one who was explosive?

And this terrible plot has just too many flaws, doesn't it?

Since Chu Chenmu is revered by the world, why did he abuse Luo Suichen? And Mo Qiluo, a member of the Demonic Sect, is actually doing the work of saving people? Shouldn't she have just killed Luo Suichen with a single stroke while he was poisoned?

"Me, such a kind, introverted person, I even walk through the sewers when I go out, and I'm too shy to pay for my own meals, yet I'm just cannon fodder, and a vicious villain at that." Chu Chenmu complained, then continued, "By the way, Xiaoyuan, what's this highlighted part?"

[The parts highlighted in red are the plot points you must strictly follow. No modifications are allowed, or there will be penalties.] Xiaoyuan's tone was calm, and she didn't react much to her host's "introverted" remarks.

What punishment?

[This is the punishment for a soul attack, host, so please keep up the pace of the story and you can return home soon.]

Chu Chenmu completely understood, comprehended, and grasped the essence of it.

This is not a good job. If you do it well, you'll be beaten to death; if you do it poorly, you'll be punished to death.

"Dog System".

She had just finished scolding Chu Chenmu when she realized something was wrong and quickly asked, "By the way, Xiaoyuan, even if I don't talk to you first, can you still tell what I'm thinking?"

"Don't worry, host. Although I can observe your fluctuations in consciousness, I can only detect your thoughts without your permission when you are extremely emotional." Xiao Yuan's voice remained light and cheerful.

"That's good, damn system."

……

After finishing his conversation with Xiaoyuan, Chu Chenmu pulled himself out of his thoughts and resignedly took in his surroundings.

The house was simply furnished. After reading the original plot, he figured that this must have been the original owner's intention to create a cold and aloof persona in the outside world.

In fact, the original owner's master treated him extremely well, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that he cherished him. There were many good things in his storage ring.

Chu Chenmu then tried to use his spiritual power. He was an ice spiritual root that had mutated from water attribute. According to the original owner's memories, he touched the teacup on the table, and the water in the cup quickly froze into ice.

Chu Chenmu felt that he was a genius, having adapted to this body so quickly.

He then channeled his spiritual power, and the ice in the cup melted again.

Chu Chenmu stared wide-eyed, pondering how likely it would be to make money by performing magic tricks if he could retain this method upon returning to reality one day.

She pursed her lips, deciding to focus on completing the task and hurry home.

Buckle.

A knock sounded on the door, followed by a clear, cold female voice.

"Master, the sect leader requests your presence at the Wuji Hall to attend the founding ceremony."

Chu Chenmu quickly realized that the person outside the door was the original owner's eldest disciple, Tian Yige.

Tian Yige is also one of the targets of Luo Suichen's revenge after his rebirth. Tian Yige is the original owner's eldest disciple and also has a mutated ice spirit root. Perhaps due to the influence of her own attributes, she is also a cold person, even more so than her master.

In the original storyline, after Chu Chenmu took on a disciple, he immediately went into seclusion. He did not personally teach Luo Suichen at first; instead, Luo Suichen first studied under his senior sister, Tian Yige.

However, Tian Yige was cold and aloof, and she looked down on Luo Suichen's timid and submissive appearance. Naturally, she disliked him and did not care about him. She simply gave him an introductory cultivation manual and let him fend for himself.

When Luo Suichen was taken in by the sect in his first life, he was only eleven years old. As an orphan who often didn't know where his next meal would come from, his timid nature was completely understandable. However, Tian Yige, who came from the cultivation family Tian family, was more imposing and handsome even to her servants than Luo Suichen. At only twenty-something years old, she was still unable to understand life.

Later, Luo Suichen was taken away by his master who had emerged from seclusion to be personally taught. Not long after, his spiritual and demonic meridians were discovered, and he died not long after that, never to have any further contact with Tian Yige.

Luo Suichen, who had been reborn, probably felt that Tian Yige was too cold and ruthless at the time, so he also regarded her as a target for revenge.

Coming to his senses, Chu Chenmu pondered the original owner's aloof persona for a moment, then raised his voice in response:

"I know."

……

The Opening Ceremony is the way Wuji Sect recruits new disciples. Every five years, the sect sends out recruiting disciples to set up recruitment stations in towns near Wuji Sect to select disciples who meet the admission criteria to go up the mountain. Then, the elders in the sect select their favorite disciples from these new disciples to enter the inner sect. The remaining disciples temporarily study in the outer sect and wait for the assessment held every two years. Those who perform well in the assessment can also enter the inner sect.

The Wuji Hall, which the sect leader sent Chu Chenmu to, was the final part of the opening ceremony. All the newly admitted disciples gathered in the Wuji Hall and stood in tiers from front to back according to their qualifications tested during their admission, waiting for the arrival of the inner sect elders.
