The Sorting Hat lingered on Angor's head for quite a while, and almost everyone in the Great Hall had their eyes on him.

Another Malfoy?

This is truly rare!

Some of the older students, however, had rather strange expressions, especially the children from pure-blood families who had once sided with Voldemort.

They knew a little about the rumors surrounding Angell.

The legendary son of the Demon King...

Their parents had warned them before the start of the school year that if Angle entered Slytherin, they should be wary of him and befriend him.

So what will the result be?

At the center of everyone's attention, the boy lowered his head slightly, the wide brim of his hat obscuring his eyes and casting a shadow on his face. His slightly long blond hair hung loosely down his neck, seemingly reflecting the light in the candlelight of the auditorium.

His hands gripped the edge of the stool somewhat uneasily, looking rather green and immature, making it hard to connect him with that person...

Draco had already been assigned to Slytherin, and during this waiting period, he was arguably more nervous than when he was waiting for his own Sorting results.

finally--

"Slytherin!"

The Sorting Hat provided the results.

Draco let out a long sigh of relief.

Thank goodness for this result, thank goodness for Slytherin!

He clapped his hands vigorously.

Around the Slytherin table, many people had tense expressions and kept exchanging glances with acquaintances. After Draco's applause rang out, they followed suit and clapped, but all of them appeared polite and restrained.

Angor took off his Sorting Hat, his brow furrowed slightly, looking rather displeased, but he still walked toward the Slytherin table.

He finally found a hobby, and then...

It was absolutely horrific!

“…It’s not that bad…At worst, you can beat him up first and then continue to play the victim,” Vold suggested.

Angell's eyes lit up.

And so, those around the Slytherin table felt that Angor seemed to have suddenly become happier.

A faint smile appeared on his lips, completely dispelling his previous slightly gloomy demeanor.

Those blood-red eyes became much more lively, but occasionally meeting his gaze always made one feel a sense of unease.

Is it just my imagination...?

After sitting down at the Slytherin table, even without looking around, Angor could feel many eyes on him.

He said to Vold with a hint of helplessness, "Judging from the current situation, your judgment was wrong. I'm afraid many people already know about the rumor of the 'Demon King's Son'..."

"When the second-year basilisk is released, many people might doubt me!"

vold: "?"

"Wait a minute, isn't the diary in our hands right now?"

Angor looked at the young wizards still waiting for their sorting into houses, his smile deepening:

“I’ve always suspected that, besides those well-known spells, there must be something else protecting Hogwarts.”

“Hmm… For example, the basilisk left behind by Salazar Slytherin. We once controlled that basilisk, but I think Salazar Slytherin’s original purpose in leaving it behind was to have it guard Hogwarts.”

"I think so too, but what are you trying to say by saying this?"

Angell looked around at the people. Many were still secretly observing him. They might think they were hiding it well, but those gazes were far too obvious to him.

"Simply put, the protective power of Hogwarts must be extremely strong, but we don't know what it is yet, and Dumbledore doesn't even know it, except for us."

“Tom Riddell had been thinking about this for a long time,” Vold said.

“That’s what I wanted to say.” Angor’s tone was light. “Although we still don’t know anything about it... or even whether it exists at all, the basilisk might be the final solution.”

"But the Tom Riddle in the diary wouldn't think that way."

"In other words, we can threaten him to cooperate with us... If he doesn't cooperate, Hogwarts' defenses will attack him to protect me, a Hogwarts student."

"Don't you think it's perfect?"

Vold finally understood why Angell didn't touch the diary at all during the summer vacation.

So that's what he was waiting for...

"And we have absolutely no need to reveal our identities to the diary... Well, in my opinion, if we tell him that a part of our soul is him, his thought will definitely be to kill us, not to cooperate with us."

“Like now, I know that our souls are of the same origin as his to some extent, but I would not think about helping him to be resurrected.”

"When do you plan to take action?" Vold asked a rather pragmatic question.

By this time, the last student had put on the Sorting Hat, and the Sorting Ceremony was about to end.

"Let's wait a few more days. Our magic power has been growing rapidly recently."

By the time he finished speaking, the Sorting Hat had already given its result.

"Slytherin!"

As Blaise Zabini walked toward the Slytherin table, Professor McGonagall rolled up the parchment, picked up the Sorting Hat, and left.

The sorting ceremony has ended, but it's not yet time for dinner.

Dumbledore stood up and looked at his students with a kind smile from the teachers' table.

(vold let out a cold snort in Angor's mind)

"Welcome, welcome to Hogwarts for the start of a new school year!" said Dumbledore, opening his arms to the students as if he were truly welcoming them home.

"But before the banquet begins, I have a few words to say... namely: Idiot! Crybaby! Trash! Twist!"

"thank you all!"

The atmosphere around the Slytherin table became somewhat strange. Everyone looked at each other, with only a few displaying complicated expressions.

Ravenclaw is exceptionally intelligent; she thinks everyone else is an idiot.

Gryffindor was brave and fearless, and he believed that people who cried were weak.

Slytherin was extremely arrogant; he considered everyone else to be trash.

Hufflepuff is gentle and kind; she doesn't understand why some people like to go against the grain.

Dumbledore is openly insulting every single house!

"This is true arrogance!"

Angell heard someone whispering.

However, the voices of agreement that followed made him realize that Dumbledore was no different in the eyes of the Slytherin students than Snape was in the eyes of the Gryffindor students.

He lowered his head in silence, waiting for dinner to begin.
