I Reincarnated as Mei in Honkai Impact 3

Chapter 82 Mei's Preparations in Sky City

"Boom boom~" A huge ship docked at the seaside.

"Dear tourists, we have arrived at Sky City. Please take note..."

Sigrún has taught at the Iceland University of the Arts as a part-time lecturer since and was Dean of the Department of Fine Art from -. In – she held a research position at Reykjavík Art Museum focusing on the role of women in Icelandic art. She studied fine art at the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts and at Pratt Institute, New York, and holds BA and MA degrees in art history and philosophy from the University of Iceland. Sigrún lives and works in Iceland.

"Phew~ We're finally here!" Mei exclaimed.

Mei now has a new look, her hair has been cut short, she's wearing a blue and white striped hoodie, her collarbone is showing, a single tuft of hair on her head is tilted to one side, and she's wearing black tight-fitting sweatpants that make her look slightly slender, just like Mei in the original work.

"Speaking of which, Kiana bought this outfit for herself~"

"However, Sky Dome City is so big and hard to find, let's settle down first. Huh? It's already four o'clock in the afternoon." Mei checked the time and then walked towards the city center of Sky Dome City.

Sky City is very prosperous, with various high-rise buildings interspersed, and its futuristic technological feel gives the city a mysterious color.

At this point, Mei first randomly picked a restaurant to fill her stomach.

"Boss, a bowl of beef noodles, no chili," Mei said.

"Okay, just a moment~"

While waiting, Mei rested her chin on her hand and thought, "If I want to find Kiana as soon as possible, I have to go to the location of the Honkai outbreak immediately."

"But what should we do after we find Kiana?"

"No, let's look at it from another angle. If I were Kiana, after experiencing something like this, I'd probably feel regret and guilt when I saw my comrades again, right?"

"Wait, if I meet Kiana as Mei, she'll probably feel bad..."

Mei stopped thinking only when the beef noodles were served and their aroma filled the air.

"Open the flash!"

It wasn't until Mei finished her beef noodles that she started to wander around and take a good look at Sky City.

As night fell, various food stalls appeared one after another, making the quiet night seem particularly lively. People came and went on the streets, and there were even a few middle-aged women dancing in the square.

At an open-air barbecue stall, Mei sat at a small square table, playing on her phone and watching videos while waiting for the barbecue she had ordered.

"Hello, sister, here's the barbecue you ordered~" A cute little girl placed a barbecue tray on Mei's small square table.

"Thank you," Mei said, pinching her cheek gently.

Mei looked at the barbecue in front of her and couldn't help but feel a little lonely. If Kiana were here, she would definitely have a lot of things to say to her.

Just as Mei was eating barbecue, about five or six burly men came to the owner's barbecue stall, speaking rudely, seemingly there to cause trouble.

"So you're the one called 'Biza'?" one of the fat men said, pointing at the barbecue stall owner's nose.

"Ah, what's wrong with these gentlemen?" The barbecue stall owner, Bize, was a little flustered. He was selling barbecue just fine, so what happened?

"I heard your sausages sell for two yuan each, right?" another man said.

"Yes, is there a problem?" Bize asked, puzzled.

"Any other questions? Screw you!" A man kicked the table over.

Then the man pointed angrily at Bize's nose and said, "You're the only one selling them for two yuan each! Everyone around here is selling them for four yuan each, and you're the only one breaking the rules! Now customers are criticizing us for selling them for four yuan each, while you're selling them for two yuan each, and they're all coming to your place!"

丠泽:6

However, the six people persisted, continuing to shout and yell in front of the stall with an extremely arrogant attitude, essentially telling them to pack up their stall immediately.

But how could Bize easily give up his business? Eventually, physical contact broke out, with them pushing and shoving each other.

One of the men, a greasy-faced tattooed man with a violent temper, picked up a nearby bottle and smashed it over Bizawa's head.

With a loud "bang!", glass shards fell to the ground, and Bei Ze staggered backward, landing hard on his backside, blood slowly trickling down his head.

"Daddy! Waaah, stop! Don't hit my daddy!" a little girl cried, standing in front of her father.

Meanwhile, the people eating barbecue nearby all took out their phones to take pictures, but no one stepped forward to stop them...

"What are you looking at! What are you eating? Get out of here!" Then two people chased away the customers at the barbecue stall.

Of course, some customers were prepared to resist, but seeing the warning from the other party and the tattoos on their necks or backs, they all swallowed their anger for a time...

A burly man saw a woman sitting there eating barbecue, so he walked up to her and slammed his hand on her table.

"Bang bang bang!"

Mei took a bite of her sausage, looked up, and asked, "Is something wrong?"

Mei had noticed that the group seemed to have a conflict with the owner when she was choosing a barbecue spot, but she didn't intervene because she didn't know the details of the situation. She knew that you can't judge things by appearances, so as not to cause misunderstandings.

After all, some people may look fierce, but they are actually very kind at heart.

The man dumped all the barbecue from her plate into the trash can, then warned her, "Get lost," before turning and leaving without another word...

Meiyi:…………

After a while, Mei came to her senses and walked towards the group of people.

"You little brat, consider this a lesson for you. If you dare to set up a stall here again, things won't be as simple as they are today!" the men warned Bize again.

Just as the group was about to leave, a voice came from behind them.

"Stop right there! You ruined my barbecue, you have to pay for it. Otherwise, you're not leaving!" Mei said coldly, blocking their way.

The group of people turned around in confusion after hearing this, only to find that it was a girl who looked to be around 18 years old.

The group stopped, looking at Mei with disdain and mockery in their eyes. Did they need to compensate her? Of course not!

"Who do you think you are? Are you looking for trouble?!" one of them yelled, trying to intimidate her.

However, Mei's attitude remained unchanged, and she said nonchalantly, "If you don't compensate me for my barbecue today, you won't be able to go anywhere."

Upon hearing this, the other men with tattoos became emboldened and walked menacingly toward Mei.

"So what if we're leaving? What can you do about it?" His voice was full of provocation and threat. He looked at Mei, his eyes gleaming with greed and evil.

"You can leave, but leave your money behind," Mei said, completely ignoring his threatening tone.

The boss, Bizawa, quickly grabbed Mei's hand and earnestly advised, "There's no need to get into a conflict with them. I'll just make you another one..."

The little girl also held Mei's hand, begging her not to act impulsively.

Mei looked at the father and daughter, pulled them aside, and gestured for them not to worry.

"In short, will you compensate us or not?" Mei asked them one last time.

Upon hearing this, the group burst into laughter.

"Boss, this girl isn't very bright; she actually wants us to pay for it?"

"Even if we don't pay, what can you do?"

"Go ahead and call the police, you can't do anything about it!"

Mei looked at the group of people laughing and acting like rascals, chuckled, and suddenly threw a punch as her right hand crackled with lightning!

"boom"!

One of them was sent flying seven or eight meters before crashing to the ground and losing consciousness.

Before the others could react, they were slapped across the face with such force that they were sent flying. The bright red slap was clearly visible on their faces, and several teeth lay on the ground...

Among them, the lightning attached to Mei's palm directly stunned those people.

After doing all this, Mei clapped her hands and said, "Consider the money I spent on barbecue as payment for your medical expenses~"

She then quickly left the scene. Around 11 p.m., Mei found a hotel, checked in, and prepared to sleep for the night.

Mei took a shower, washing away all the grime, and looked exceptionally refreshed.

Moonlight streamed through the window into the room in the middle of the night. Mei summoned the purple sword and gently stroked it.

The black, ink-like center plate was covered with purple patterns, making it look particularly eerie.

"I have a feeling that this knife hasn't been completely untied."

"Thinking back then, if I hadn't been able to break free from some of the knife's power, I might really be dead now, right?"

It was all darkness—

The last scene Mei remembered was after being pierced through the abdomen by the Spear of the Void and having the [Conquest Gem] forcibly removed, when her consciousness could no longer hold on.

"Am I going to die?" Mei couldn't help but slowly close her eyes, and the last thing she could see was the cold face of the Herrscher of the Void.

He then completely lost consciousness.

After an unknown amount of time, Mei regained consciousness, but it was very hazy. The only thing she could sense was endless darkness and a deathly silence...

This darkness was captivating, lulling one to sleep, like a cozy blanket on a winter morning, something one longed to leave behind. In the complete darkness, she was all alone…

"No... I can't sleep..."

A strong drowsiness overwhelmed her consciousness, wanting her to drift off to sleep in this dark and gentle haven.

Her subconscious told her that she was in danger and she had to wake up! Otherwise, she would truly fall into the abyss of death!

"I still...I still have things I need to do...I must change Himeko's fate!"

Mei walked through the darkness, her consciousness utterly exhausted, as if the darkness was about to completely devour her will.

Although it was pitch black, Mei had a feeling that she should go somewhere, but she didn't know when she would reach her destination.

"Ugh... Kiana... Kiana..." Mei continued forward like a walking corpse, murmuring her name.

Like in the darkness of death, time and space seem to have been worn away and ceased to exist.

The warmth in the darkness, like a mother's embrace, and the inexplicable drowsiness, washed over Mei's will again and again like a tide.

Whenever Mei felt like giving up, Kiana's smile would appear in her mind, and Kiana would call her name all the time.

"Yayi" "Yayi" "Yayi"

Thinking of this moment, she was even more determined not to give up.

Finally, she found it—a door in the endless darkness. Her subconscious told her, open it! Open it!

After pushing open the door, there was nothing in front of him except for surging lightning, and at the end was a knife.

Intuition told her that she had to touch the knife; only in this way could she have any hope of survival.

The lightning throbbed in her soul, causing her immense pain, but it did not stop her from moving forward, one step, two steps, three steps.

"Aaaaah!" Mei couldn't help but scream, but she still resolutely moved forward.

Mei's subconscious told her that to be reborn, she must first be baptized by lightning.

Finally, Mei grasped the knife, and from that moment on, her heart began to beat again.

The power flowed into Mei's body through the hilt of the sword, and every cell in her body became active.

On the surface of the black longsword, cracks appeared one after another. Finally, some of the black on those cracks fell off and disappeared like ashes, replaced by a dark purple. Lightning began to rejoice, as if it had a life of its own, and wrapped around the blade, eventually merging with Mei.

Finally, it's time to wake up from the dream.

When Mei woke up, she found that her injuries had healed. Then, her whole body was covered in purple lightning as she rushed towards the deck of the Hyperion.

However, what Mei didn't know was that the attending physician (who had gained weight) was completely dumbfounded.

She had just been in surgery, and seeing Mei's injuries, she was desperate and had little hope left.

Suddenly I felt an electric shock in my hand, and I didn't even know where the leaked electricity came from.

Then the attending physician (who had gained weight) saw that Mei, the injured soldier, was suddenly surrounded by purple arcs of electricity. She immediately pulled her companion away to observe from a distance.

The attending physician (who had gained weight) had never seen anything like it in his life. The wound of the injured person, who had just been receiving emergency treatment, was healing slowly at a speed visible to the naked eye under the stimulation of the purple electric arc.

Finally, she woke up and ran towards the operating room through the lightning...

------

The next morning, Mei checked out of the hotel and went to eat breakfast at a random place.

After breakfast, Mei went straight to a boutique specializing in custom-made clothing.

Mei looked at the clothes the store had given her, and only said after the shop owner came over, "Sir, I want to make a set of clothes."

"Sure, beautiful lady, what kind of clothes would you like to order?" the shopkeeper asked, looking Mei up and down.

"Something special, like the assassin outfit of a night owl in a game, the kind that makes it impossible to see your face, is that okay?" Mei asked.

"Of course we can customize. Is there any special requirement for this garment?" the shop owner asked with a smile. She didn't ask what it was for, since the customer's privacy needed to be protected, and all they needed to do was meet the customer's requirements.

Mei pondered for a moment, then said, "Make it close-fitting, like a men's coat. The outer garment is called a trench coat, and you can add a few extra strands. It has to be very stylish. Oh, and you must make a hat, the kind that makes it impossible to see your face."

"No problem, I'll take your measurements here, and then you can come back in three days."

After taking some measurements, Mei left the store and came back three days later to pick up the goods.

Mei designed this outfit so she could approach Kiana under a different identity. After all, given Kiana's personality, she would definitely feel incredibly guilty about what happened to her.

Approaching her as Mei would only make her feel guilty, so I can only accompany her in another capacity.

Mei looked up at the blue sky and muttered to herself, "Kiana, Kiana, I wonder if you've eaten yet? Are you hungry?"
