The darkness was boundless, an endless expanse of darkness, without a single ray of light.

Mei regained consciousness.

"Ouch, this hurts! Oh my god, why is it so dark? Where am I?" I opened my eyes and all I could see was darkness.

I stretched out my hand, but I couldn't even see my fingers. However, I could feel my body and limbs.

"Is anyone there!" Mei shouted.

"I felt a special connection when I held the black sword," Mei thought. She closed her eyes and savored the memory.

Chiko, who was standing to the side, watched Mei deep in thought. Although she had many questions, she didn't have the heart to disturb her.

Mei savored the feeling of connection, and the image of the black sword appeared in her mind. Then she imagined herself holding it with both hands.

In an instant, the black knife appeared in Mei's hand, and the chill emanating from the blade startled Chiko, who was standing nearby.

Mei's lips curled up slightly.

"Chiko, quickly get the knife!" Mei said, because her hands were tied behind her back, and she couldn't cut the ropes even with the knife.

Qianzi nodded, holding the knife in a daze. Her small hand touched the blade, and a chill ran through her.

"Chiko, hold on tight." Then, Mei carefully brought the rope behind her back close to the blade, and after a few rubs, the rope was cut.
