I Reincarnated as Mei in Honkai Impact 3

Chapter 37 Preparing for Class

Mei carried the three of them in their new school uniforms and returned to Himeko's house.

I unpacked the uniform and felt its texture.

"Great, great! It's so much better than my old high school uniform. It looks much better, unlike how tacky it was back then," Mei exclaimed.

Mei took out several sets of school uniforms that belonged to her according to their sizes, and then delivered them to Bronya and Kiana.

After Mei finished doing all this, Himeko's dinner was ready, so Mei went to inform Kiana and Bronya.

"Sorry to keep you waiting! Himeko Murata's special curry!" Himeko said to Kiana and the other two as she placed four plates of curry on the table.

"Wow, it looks pretty good, but Aunt Himeko's cooking skills are still a little bit inferior to mine."

"Who are you calling auntie? Kiana?" Himeko's expression was unfriendly, as if she might beat Kiana up at any moment.

"Haha, I meant Himeko!" Kiana said awkwardly, then scooped up a spoonful of curry and ate it.

"Ugh~ This is really...too spicy!" Kiana's eyes were watering from the spiciness, and she looked anxiously at Mei.

"Ya...Ya, water, is there any water? It's so spicy..." Kiana's mouth was watering.

Mei Yi: “…………”

Mei summoned her black sword and took out a bottle of "Jia Duo Bao" (a popular herbal tea brand) from its storage space, handing it to Kiana.

Without saying a word, Kiana started drinking to relieve the rush of the drink, but her mouth still watered uncontrollably.

Himeko was completely bewildered by the black sword that Mei had conjured out of thin air, as well as the bottle of "Jia Duo Bao" (a popular herbal tea brand).

"Where did this come from?" Himeko asked, pointing.

"Ah, you mean this~" Mei shook the knife in her hand.

“I don’t know where this knife came from, but it’s usually stored in my consciousness. It also has its own space that can store all kinds of inanimate objects, and I can take it back whenever I want,” Mei explained to Himeko.

Then Mei gave Himeko a bottle of orange juice in front of her.

Himeko was completely confused, but she still smiled and said, "Your ability is pretty good, haha~"

Himeko noticed Kiana drinking "Jia Duo Bao" (a popular Chinese herbal tea brand). Was it really that spicy?

Himeko also silently took a bite.

"The taste is still just right~" Himeko then showed off.

Himeko looked at the curry in front of her and thought of her father. Her father loved the curry she made. Every time he finished eating it, he would praise it highly, and one plate was never enough.

Mei tried a bite, and then her mouth watered. She definitely couldn't eat the rest.

"Um, Himeko-nee," Mei asked shyly.

"What's wrong, Mei?" Himeko replied.

"Could I use your kitchen?" Mei asked.

"Haha, what, you young lady, can you actually cook?" Himeko joked, clearly not believing that Mei could cook.

Kiana, upon hearing Mei's words, exclaimed excitedly, "That's great! Mei has to cook, so we don't have to eat that horribly spicy curry anymore!"

"Oh~ So you mean Kiana, you think my cooking is bad?" Himeko said kindly, but her eyes narrowed slightly.

Kiana quickly replied, "No, no, Himeko's is delicious too! I just think Mei's is more flavorful~ hehe."

Mei felt a warm feeling in her heart as she watched them bicker.

Upon arriving at the kitchen, Mei discovered that Himeko hadn't brought back any chicken legs. So, Mei opened the Black Sword's storage space and took out the chicken legs she had bought earlier, along with various seasonings and containers.

After rinsing the chicken drumsticks with clean water, make a few cuts on the drumsticks with a knife, put them in a container, sprinkle with salt, five-spice powder, curry powder, red yeast rice powder and cornstarch, mix well and marinate for about 20 minutes.

While the ingredients are marinating, heat oil in a pan and prepare the remaining ingredients.

Twenty minutes later, Mei took out the marinated chicken legs, coated them evenly with cornstarch, shook off the excess cornstarch, put them back into the container, and sprinkled them with an appropriate amount of cornstarch.

Next, put the yogurt into a pot and slowly heat it over low heat until it turns completely yellow, then remove it. Then, deep-fry the chicken legs until they are golden brown and crispy, then remove them and plate them. The seasonings are placed in a special small dish.

The people outside could already smell the fragrance, and their mouths were watering!

"I know this taste so well! It's Mei's chicken drumsticks! I love this the most!" Kiana exclaimed excitedly.

Bronya agrees with Paramecium's opinion.

When the chicken leg was served, Kiana couldn't resist picking it up and taking a bite.

"Hot! Hot...but it's so delicious." Kiana had a happy expression on her face.

Kiana took the chicken leg she had already gnawed on and stuffed it into Himeko's mouth, wanting her to taste the deliciousness.

Himeko, exasperated, refused, "Kiana, you've already gnawed on this..."

"Hehe, sorry, I got too excited, but Himeko-neechan, this is really delicious!" Kiana said, taking another bite.

Himeko also took a chicken leg and put it in her mouth to taste.

"Not bad, not bad, Mei's cooking is really delicious," Himeko praised.

"That's right, Mei-neechan's cooking is really delicious, and Bronya likes it very much too." Bronya was eating a chicken leg.

Seeing this harmonious atmosphere, Mei felt content.

"It seems like I'm the real Mei now," Mei thought to herself.

When it was time for bed, Kiana, wearing her pajamas, prepared to climb into Mei's bed, but Mei kicked her back into the room. The reason was that Kiana suddenly attacked Mei's breasts from behind.

Mei closed the door, made sure it was locked, and then lay down on the bed. She took out an alarm clock from her black sword space, set the time, and then covered herself with the blanket and went to sleep.

"Next, I'll officially start improving my skills at St. Freya Academy, which is a bit like my old high school life~"

Mei fell asleep.

Sigrún has taught at the Iceland University of the Arts as a part-time lecturer since and was Dean of the Department of Fine Art from -. In – she held a research position at Reykjavík Art Museum focusing on the role of women in Icelandic art. She studied fine art at the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts and at Pratt Institute, New York, and holds BA and MA degrees in art history and philosophy from the University of Iceland. Sigrún lives and works in Iceland.

The next morning, the shrill alarm clock rang. There was no morning self-study at St. Freya Academy; classes started at 8:30. Mei got up at 7:00, which was too early for Mei, who used to get up at 5:55 in high school in her previous life.

Mei got out of bed and went to the wardrobe, taking out the school uniform she had received yesterday. There were no boys' uniforms, because this school was truly all girls. This reminded Mei of a novel from her past life—["I, a boy, actually ended up in an all-girls school"].

The school uniform is white, and even comes with special brown gloves, though you can choose not to wear them. It also includes a black skirt.

After putting on these clothes, she looked somewhat like Mei from the manga in her previous life.

Mei then went to the kitchen and started making breakfast for them.

That's right, there is no cafeteria in St. Freya Academy. The students all live in large villas. If there is a kitchen, why would they need a cafeteria?

Mei made Chinese breakfast: an egg, a fried dough stick, a bottle of milk, and a steamed bun for each person.

Himeko was the first to wake up groggily after Mei had finished preparing breakfast.

"Wow, Mei~ You actually made breakfast! This will be the first time I don't have to eat bread in the morning." Himeko said excitedly.

"Ahem... Sister Himeko, could you please pull down your collar? It's showing." Mei's lips twitched.

"Haha, we're all girls, what are you worried about? You're not worried that I'll take advantage of you, are you?" Himeko put her hand on Mei's shoulder, acting like a good buddy.

"Never mind, I'm tired. Do whatever you want." Mei went to wake Kiana up.

Himeko looked at the breakfast on the table.

"Huh, this looks like breakfast from China. I didn't expect Mei to know how to make this." Himeko said, and then it was time to eat.

Mei pushed open Kiana's door; yes, it was unlocked again.

Mei bent down, about to wake Kiana, when suddenly she was punched in the face.

Mei Yi: “???”

Mei touched her face, completely bewildered. She had been hit for no reason.

"You stinky old man, don't run away, I'm going to beat you to death!" Kiana lay on the bed, waving her limbs incessantly.

"Fine, fine, so you were sleepwalking, and you got punched by yourself." Mei got angrier the more she thought about it, looking at Kiana on the bed.

Mei slapped Kiana, only wanting to wake her up so she wouldn't be late; there was no personal grudge involved.

Kiana was jolted awake by the blow, and the first thing she saw when she opened her eyes was Mei.

Completely bewildered, Kiana had no idea what was happening when Mei suddenly grabbed her and hugged her tightly.

"Are you alright, Kiana? What's wrong? I came to wake you up just now, and I saw you looked uncomfortable. It seems like you had a nightmare. Don't be afraid, I'm here," Mei said with concern.

Kiana touched her face, puzzled, and then looked at Mei, whom she cared about.

Kiana came to a conclusion: "Does being hit in a dream cause pain in reality?"
