Cold-faced Empress

Chapter 98 Beating

Fu Siying hugged Rong Chen tightly, buried her head in his chest, and cried bitterly.

Rong Chen said in a panicked whisper, "Sister, let's go."

Fu Siying pushed her younger brother away, shook her head, turned to look at He Changyi, and took a step to approach him.

Fu Rongchen hurriedly grabbed her, shaking his head pleadingly.

Fu Siying forcefully pushed his hand away. Seeing that she didn't have a wooden stick in her hand, Rong Chen didn't stop her anymore, but followed closely behind her with trepidation.

As Fu Siying walked up to He Changyi, who was beaten into a daze, she stared at him with a sinister look in her eyes.

She had originally wanted Rong Chen to break He Changyi's arms and legs, but Rong Chen was still young and kind-hearted and couldn't bring himself to do it, while she lacked the strength to achieve her goal. Breaking only one of He Changyi's arms was far too lenient on him.

Fu Siying didn't want to let He Changyi leave here alive, but she was also unwilling to kill him now.

After thinking for a moment, Fu Siying suddenly pulled a dagger from her sleeve, drew out the sharp blade, and bent down to slash at He Changyi's cheek.

She wanted to carve the word "treacherous" on his face so that everyone would know at first glance how untrustworthy he was!

As soon as she made the first cut, Fu Siying was pulled back by Rong Chen.

Rong Chen opened his eyes wide in horror, thinking his elder sister was going to kill someone.

Just as Fu Siying was about to declare that she wouldn't kill anyone, a voice suddenly called out from afar, "Brother He! Brother He!"

"Young Master He, where are you?"

It's Xue Jin!

Fu Siying paused. Just as she was about to risk staying a little longer to carve the words, Rong Chen grabbed her arm tightly and dragged her away quickly.

Rong Chen quickly mounted his horse, then pulled Fu Siying onto the horse as well. The two rode together and sped away.

Not long after the two left, Xue Jin led his men to find He Changyi, whose head was covered in blood and whose body was covered in wounds.

"Quickly, take Young Master He back to the city for treatment!"

The escape route was difficult to traverse in the mountains. After confirming that they were not being pursued by Xue Jin's servants, Rong Chen dismounted and led Fu Siying's horse down the mountain.

Removing the black veil from his face, Rong Chen, still shaken, asked, "Sister, why... did that person do something evil?"

Fu Siying's face was cold, and she did not respond.

"I wonder if that person will survive." Rong Chen was very anxious.

Fu Siying said coldly, "You are not allowed to mention today's events to anyone."

"Of course not," Rong Chen hurriedly assured him, but his expression immediately turned dejected. "I'm just worried about you. I want to know why you're like this!"

What Rong Chen was truly afraid of was whether his elder sister had been bullied by He Changyi before. He knew that although his elder sister was arrogant and willful, she only sought revenge when she had a grudge and would never do evil without a reason!

Fu Siying sighed deeply. Just as she was about to say a few words to comfort her younger brother, she suddenly saw several figures emerge from in front of her, and a dark mass of figures approaching.

Rong Chen stopped in surprise.

He exclaimed, "It looks like someone from Prince Mu's men!"

Fu Siying also recognized that the soldier chasing a man in black was Mo Canglan's Changyi Army.

Since Mo Canglan came up the mountain to attend a banquet today, it is clear that it is not the Changyi Army that is arresting fugitives, but Mo Canglan who has been assassinated!

"Quick, get out of the way!"

As soon as Fu Siying finished speaking, the black-clad assassin who was being chased by a group of soldiers and guards turned around and charged straight at her and Rong Chen.

Fu Siying hurriedly jumped off her horse and stood in front of Rong Chen.
