Zhu Feifei and Chang Juan ran wildly, heading deeper into the base.

"Chang Juan, do you know where that secret laboratory is?" Zhu Feifei asked as she ran.

“I know,” Chang Juan said. “It’s at the very bottom of the base, which is a restricted area. Ordinary people are not allowed to enter.”

"A restricted area?" Zhu Feifei was taken aback. "Then how do we get in?"

“I have a pass,” Chang Juan said. “However, there are many traps and obstacles there, so we must be careful.”

"Traps and mechanisms? Hehe, that's perfect, let me, Old Pig... see what they're all about!" Zhu Feifei said excitedly, "I love playing with traps and mechanisms the most!"

The two arrived at the bottom level of the base, and Chang Juan took out her pass and swiped it on the scanner at the entrance.

As a mechanical female voice sounded, the door slowly opened.

The two entered through the gate and found themselves in a huge underground space. The space was brightly lit and filled with all sorts of instruments and equipment, as well as some huge petri dishes in which strange-looking plants were growing.

"Wow! Where is this place?" Zhu Feifei exclaimed in amazement as she looked at the futuristic scene before her.

“This is the base’s secret laboratory,” Chang Juan said. “Some…special research is being conducted here.”

"Special research?" Zhu Feifei's heart skipped a beat. He vaguely sensed that Chang Juan's research was not simple.

"Alright, stop asking so many questions," Chang Juan said. "Let's find that container quickly and get out of here."

The two began searching the laboratory.

The laboratory was very quiet, with only the sounds of various instruments and equipment operating in the background.

"Chang Juan, what exactly does that container you mentioned look like?" Zhu Feifei asked.

“It’s a black metal box with some strange runes engraved on it,” Chang Juan said. “It should be on the central control panel in the lab.”

The two arrived at the central control panel of the laboratory and, sure enough, saw a black metal box with some runes engraved on it that Zhu Feifei couldn't understand.

“This is it!” Chang Juan said, then reached for the box.

Just then, the laboratory alarm suddenly went off.

"Woo-wu-wu-"

A piercing alarm blared throughout the laboratory, and red warning lights flashed incessantly.

"Oh no! We've been discovered!" Chang Juan's face changed, and she said, "Run!"

The two quickly turned around and ran towards the laboratory exit.

However, at that moment, a figure suddenly appeared at the laboratory exit.

"Where do you want to go?"

A familiar voice rang out, and Zhu Feifei and Chang Juan stopped in their tracks and turned to look.

Wang Tiezhu was standing at the exit, holding a laser gun and looking at them coldly.

"Wang Tiezhu! Why...why are you here?" Chang Juan asked in surprise.

"Hmph, I knew you'd be here." Wang Tiezhu sneered. "Did you think your secret operation could escape my notice?"

"You...you were following us?" Zhu Feifei asked.

“Following? Heh…” Wang Tiezhu chuckled dismissively. “I don’t need to follow you at all. I know your every move!”

"What exactly do you want?" Chang Juan asked.

"What do I want? It's simple, hand over that box to me!" Wang Tiezhu said, pointing to the black metal box in Chang Juan's hand.

"Impossible!" Chang Juan said. "This box concerns the safety of humanity; I cannot hand it over to you!"

"Human safety? Hahahaha!" Wang Tiezhu laughed loudly. "Chang Juan, you're too naive! Do you really think that you scientists can save humanity? Your research will only bring disaster to humanity!"

“You’re talking nonsense!” Chang Juan said. “Our research is to help humanity better understand the universe and better protect itself!”

"Understanding the universe? Protecting yourselves?" Wang Tiezhu sneered again. "Your so-called understanding of the universe is actually opening Pandora's box! Your research will only bring more disasters!"

"Who...who exactly are you?" Chang Juan looked at Wang Tiezhu and asked, "Why are you stopping us?"

"Who am I? Heh..." A cold glint flashed in Wang Tiezhu's eyes. "I am... from Laboratory Zero!"

"Laboratory Zero?!" Chang Juan and Zhu Feifei were both stunned. They never expected that Wang Tiezhu would actually be a member of Laboratory Zero!

"Wu Gang?!" Chang Juan exclaimed in surprise when she saw the old man.

"How...how did you get here?" Wu Gang asked Zhu Feifei and Chang Juan, puzzled.

“Senior, we…” Chang Juan was about to explain when Wang Tiezhu interrupted her.

"Wu Gang, you've come at the right time!" Wang Tiezhu looked at Wu Gang and said, "You're also a member of 'Zero' Lab, you should know that we can't let them take the box away!"

“Laboratory Zero?” Wu Gang was taken aback. He looked at Wang Tiezhu and asked, “What are you talking about? I don’t understand.”
